CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel Boulud's four culinary muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, the flavors of world cuisines.

In addition to dinner seven nights, we feature a $39 two-course prix-fixe lunch six days a week, and a $42 two-course prix-fixe brunch on Sundays. The restaurant is both a neighborhood gem and a destination for food lovers in search of casually elegant dining. Two private dining rooms seating 20 guests each are available for your private entertaining needs, and may be combined to accommodate 40.

The restaurant's adjacent BAR PLEIADES serves inventive cocktails and a luxurious bar menu from 3 pm onward.

We love the Waldorf salad, bread and main courses. However our chocolate cake was too sweetened for finish it all. Great place, comfortable and elegant. We will definitely be back soon.

We had four people in our party. The veloute was somewhat disappointing as the foie gras was completely dissolved in the sauce. Two entrees (the bass and the pork chop) were too dry. We had a very reasonably priced Sicilian, wine which was excellent.

A "never miss" restaurant that delivers with a consistency, lunch or dinner, most establishments manage irregularly.

Super good. Worth the $

The service was very nice. The food was very good, but I wouldn’t say great...but a definite repeat even with all the choices in NYC!

We had the prix fixe luncheon. The price was certainly good and the wine pairings were decent, but not exceptional. Although the salad offered in the first course was excellent, the main course--I had the pork schnitzel with spaetzle and red cabbage--was mediocre. The dessert was equal to the main course, unfortunately. We found the ambience of the restaurant to be very nice, and the breads that were offered were really good. Unfortunately, we had been expecting much more, and were disappointed.

we went there for breakfast: honestly, I do not expect much from a hotel restaurant, but to my surprise the service and the quality of food were really good. I had the best croque madame ever! Everything else I tried was delicious. The manager was very attentive and courteous, she attended more than the actual waiter. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

Food was excellent as usual and the service was attentive but unobtrusive. I notice an increasing Japanese influence in the menu, all for the better. Duck breast done just right, pink and tender.

Disappointing and very average.

I had pretty high expectations and this turned out to be a very ordinary dinner at prices higher than ordinary. My wife’s pork dinner was over-cooked. My meal was good. Interestingly the two people at the next table had to return their first course to the kitchen - I don’t know why.

The service was good but nothing more than what I expect from any decent restaurant. Likely wouldn’t recommend it to a friend and won’t be going back. The great thing about NYC is there are lots of better restaurants offering better value.

Michelin jumped the gun giving this place a star. Maybe they thought they had to becuse the name of it includes “Boulud”.
