The octopus and lamb were fantastic!!! Shrimp risotto and burrata were ok. Definitely not worth the price! The desserts were amazing!! Best service!!
Delicious food with fascinating pedigrees, two SUPERB bottles, one of champagne, the other from Burgundy, a joyful birthday dessert, and such friendly and knowledgeable staff! Certainly worth waiting for! 👍👍
We have eaten at the Blantyre previously and it never fails to impress. The ambiance is glorious, the food superb, and the service, impeccable.
It is an expensive evening for a special occasion….extras add up quickly. It was a special evening.
The French Sours, Filet Mignon, and Rack of Lamb were delicious.
The duck mousse, grilled octopus, and mango dessert were excellent. Portions were adequate.
I would highly suggest that they bring back their Sunday brunch!
We miss it!
One of the finest restaurants in the area. A pleasure every time we go.
Service and food impeccable. A bit annoying that at $94pp there was a $10 upcharge for rack of lamb. Wine and cocktails very expensive.
An extravagant evening in the Berkshires!
The food was fantastic! wine pairing spot on! Service excellent.
can't wait to return
Delicious food in gorgeous surroundings. The service was very good. I am not a dessert person but opted for the mango-basil sorbet? OMG. I think the favorite part of my meal.
The food was excellent, well-prepared and cooked to perfection. Service very attentive. Wine list was in our opinion much too large and should be pared down. There were some reasonable priced bottles, but many expensive ones.
Overall, a very positive experience.
The wait-staff was impeccable, the food was outstanding from the first course to the third, the wine we chose was lovely and the desserts were things of beauty...artfully and tastefully designed. We loved our experience!
Ther service and food were beyond wonderful! A real foodies dream dinner! Best duck breast I have ever had!!! Can’t wait to go back!
The Boulud takeover of Blantyre is a hugely welcome upgrade. We had stopped coming here years ago as the menu was tired and the service and ambiance stuffy. Our last meal (their attempt to mimic Wheatleigh’s amazing summer BBQ) was a disaster. Now comes Daniel Boulud to the rescue. The food and service were excellent. The $97 prix fixe menu was actually reasonably priced for the quality. The wine list is still overpriced but if you have the means there are some incredible wines to choose from. We had a splits of Bollinger with our apps (amazing gazpacho and ceviche) and a 2005 Margaux with our lamb. The only complaint was that things felt a bit rushed. Our apps arrived while we were still enjoying our incredibly creative Epic Gin and Tonic and before the champagne arrived. Our mains were ready just as we were finishing and before we could open our red wine. A little better pacing and this would have been one of our best Berkshire meals ever. That title still goes to the tasting menu at Wheatleigh but it’s close. We will definitely add this back to the rotation.
Very attentive waiter and other staff. They explained the dishes very well and helped us make selections paired with an appropriate cocktail and wine.
Wonderful food and service as usual!
Again a magical experience, starting with cocktails while listening to Blantyre’s wonderful pianist, then dinner on the terrace, to coffee again while serenaded by music. Our group dined on the shrimp risotto appetizers and then lamb chops and filet. The dishes were exquisitely prepared and meat cooked perfectly. The service at this restaurant is truly exceptional. I had always enjoyed Cafe Boulud on the Upper East Side, but the entire experience at Blantyre is truly out of this world. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Lovely setting and very interesting food. Nice dining experience.
Service was exceptional
Food was fabulous
Location is wonderful
Exceptional & outstanding are they words that come to mind. Can’t wait to visit again. A truly amazing food and wine experience!
The overall experience was great. It included an exquisite ambiance and services provided by our waiter Kevin that made this experience even better. Everything on the menu was delicious and excellently crafted. Highly recommended!
Excellent all around
Dinner was everything we expected. Did not fall short on any account. Everything was delicious. Service, preparation etc all excellent.
An absolutely amazing evening from beginning to end! The service, atmosphere and food were exceptional and we can’t wait to return. Our server Kevin was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a wonderful evening! Thank you!
This is the first time we have been to Cafe Boulud at Blantyre although we have been to different Boulud restaurants in the Lincoln Center, NYC . We enjoyed the meal and service and and ambiance very much! Fine dining. I especially loved the Duck Liver Pate!! Thanks.
Truly excellent food. Creative, focused menu. Attentive and caring service. Beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful evening with terrific food and service.
Food average, service amazing
The location is elegant, the staff was courteous and professional, and the food was delicious.
How do you describe an experience that begins with a drive up to Blantyre mansion, a historic property that has hosted the greats of music and entertainment. Words cannot describe the experience.
We started our evening with a glass of Moët and Chandon in the Dom Perignon salon before being seated. Cafe Boulud doesn’t offer a tasting menu but we ordered an assortment of dishes to replicate the experience. The starters of chilled pea soup, Yellowfin Tuna and crab cakes were outstanding. Our entrees consisted of Crescent Farms Duck breast and Rack of Lamb!
Everything you would expect from a Daniel Boulud restaurant and more!
Lastly, we finished with the Vacherin, a mango and basil sorbet and cardamom meringue!
Austin Teely, manager, Frank our server and Alan our sommelier were all gracious, attentive and accommodating!

A lovely experience from start to finish.
Attentive service. Good food. Attractive dining room.
A memorable experience, the food and service was outstanding.
The dining experience was exceptionally high including the ambience, noise level and quality of the food ingredients, prepartion and presentation. However, the service was unduly attentive, almost to the point of being intrusive. In 30 years of dining in the Berkshires, this is my first complaint of simply "too much" service...ideally, food service would be invisible, anticipatory and responsive.
It is also notable that the portion sizing is apporpriate...neither miniscule nor daunitngly large (possibly a disappointment for those diners who seek a 'doggie bag' reward).
On balance, Cafe Boulud enhances Chef Boulud's reputation for thoughful creativity, full confidence in the quality of the goods and flawless execution...if only, securing a reservation was less of a challenge!
Food was delicious and the service impeccable and friendly. It made for a very special evening.
It has been an immense pleasure to dine at Café Boulud at the Blantyre twice within the last calendar year. We have been lucky to have Kevin as our server both times and he is not only an outstanding server but a lovely young man. We were also graced by the knowledge and expertise of Andrés who worked seamlessly with Kevin to provide sensational beverages to accompany our meal. We would go back tomorrow if we could get a reservation. As locals, we feel so lucky to have the Boulud team back at The Blantyre. Hands down best dining experience in The Berkshires.
Charming old world elegance and style with delicious food in a beautiful setting
Having been to many Daniel Boulud restaurants in New York City, Café Boulud at Blantyre met our expectations in everything except one entrée: the Rack of Lamb "En Persillade": the dish was tasteless, there was not even a hint of parsley, the barley made it even more tasteless, the portion of meat was tiny..... and they charge a $10 supplement for this!
The sword fish was excellent.
The tuna appetizer was excellent.
The Vacherin and Grilled Apricot deserts were excellent.
Impeccable service, ambiance, and every dish was a visual treat. Fine dining in a stunning setting. Ultimate leisurely dining. My dietary needs were respected and the executive chef had no problems meeting them by tweaking my three courses. Frank, our server, as well as the other servers were in perfect form. At the end of our meal, we felt much gratitude to the whole team.
Servers were nice and knowledgeable, but service was very slow and inattentive- particularly for the price and experience they are trying to create.
One of very few restaurants worth a 20 Minute drive in this region.
One of the best meals we've had in a long time. The setting is glorious and comfortable. The service is on a par with the finest restaurants in NY. Kudos in particular to our server, Zhen-Mei and the maitre d' Austin (both from Pittsfield but with style, manners and professionalism that would be at home in the finest restaurants in the world). The food was just what you would expect from a Boulud restaurant. Creative, interesting, exceedingly well prepared and totally delicious. We left very, very happy and look forward to returning often. Bravo!
From the greeting when we arrived in a thunderstorm and our car was whisked away and we stayed dry, to the moment the bill was presented nothing needed improvement. The service and food and attention to details, the explanation of what we were being served all made for a wonderful evening.
