Classic Caesar Salad
Romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese and garlic croutons tossed in our Caesar dressing
Always a great experience! Staff is welcoming and on top of things. We have become regulars and are on a first name basis with many waiters. Adam, Dillon, Alyssa and Maddy are our favorites!
First visit. Food, service and ambience was great.
Great business lunch in the small private room.
In this time when restaurants are struggling, Cafe Blue was busy and this was lunch. Made a reservation thinking we would be seated in one of the two empty outside tables, but were told those tables were for walk ins only, first come first serve. We were seated in the middle of the dining room where the noise level was awful. We asked to be moved to a booth and did get one in the back of restaurant where it was comfortably quiet. Service was excellent. The food was so bad, we will not return to Cafe Blue. Shrimp Cobb was swimming in dressing. Everything fried looked like the oil was past due to be tossed. French fries were terrible, soggy and looked like the dirty oil. Salmon plank was fishy and looked like cooked in something that needed cleaning, the spinach and mushrooms inedible. The waitress took the salmon off the bill. Many thanks to her.
Have been here many times. Food and service is constantly great. Will be back many more times.
The food and service was great! Definitely going back.
We had the crab cakes and the blackened reddish (special). Let me just say, we ate at Eddie V’s and Fleming’s this week and hands down Cafe Blue beat their socks off. The fish was so good and perfectly prepared. We had redfish at Eddie V’s and it tasted like fish jerky. :(.
The bread that arrived was like the rolls my mom made at Thanksgiving!
We had a lemon drop and Benzinger Sauvignon and they were yummy.
The staff were super attentive and we were seated immediately!
Courteous service and good food. Nice wine selections.
As always- great food and service. Crab cakeBenedict was superb!
We are new to the Bee Cave area. The first restaurant we tried was Cafe Blue for brunch. It was a hit. the Eggs Benedict Arnold sold me immediately. Not to mention their mouth-watering beignets. We now call this our place for a special occasion brunch. Like our 40th anniversary this past weekend.
Crab stuffed anything here is amazing and the desserts are great too!
Great first experience, and will definitely return. Clean and safe environment. Food was excellent. Rebecca, our server, was 5 stars as well. We'll be returning multiple times just to continue trying all of the amazing options on the menu.
After 7 months of curbside pick up dining, we were finally able to enjoy dining in at the finest seafood restaurant in Bee Cave - Cafe Blue! Because Eggs Benedict don't travel well, I selected it for my brunch. It was so good... a classic that is one of my favorite items. That said, for the past 7 months we've also had the fabulous blackened Mahi tacos and my wife's fave the grilled chicken summer salad. Cafe Blue offers a tasty and crisp calamari appetizer to complement fresh New England oysters. The clam chowdah competes with any on the cape, in Boston, Maine and New Hampshire - very authentic and tasty. I recommend having many meals at Cafe Blue!
Cafe Blue was predictably excellent with good service and a great ambiance. Menu allows wide selection from salads to main courses.
Food was mediocre. Would compare the fried shrimp to Red Lobster or Long John Silvers. Service was almost non existent. Had to ask a passing waiter to refill water glasses. Martini”s were excellent. You would probably have bought a bottle of wine but I couldn’t get the tiny QR code to work. Noted that it was a special occasion by indicating that it was our anniversary on the reservation but no recognition was made at all. I would not mention this except we were an 8:00 pm seating. The place was not busy at all even considering max of 50% occupancy. I really think a manager ought to be visible and attentive but I never saw one anywhere.
Just ask to make sure they are not understaffed if you’re expecting timely service. Other than that, the experience was a good one for us and the food/presentation was superb
Every dish on the menu is outstanding. I've been visiting Cafe Blue in the Hill Country Galleria very frequently over the past 5 years and have never been disappointed. I've tried all versions of eggs benedict, the blue plate, and almost every item on the menu for brunch and they are all delicious! I also recommend every piece of seafood, no matter how it's prepared - so fresh! Of note recently - the crab mac and cheese - amazing; seafood crepes - again amazing; the best clam chowder ever and delicious gumbo (almost as good as mine) :-)
Be sure to make a reservation!
Very nice Sunday brunch with lots of options and great beverages.
Outstanding server, Kenny, had big 💙 for our special needs son, making sure his order, with sooooo many allergies, was accurate. There were 3 of us. I had the trout almondine, Spouse had crab stuffed flounder, and son had rotisserie chicken--all prepared to perfection, tho we all had such specicific requests!! We love Cafe Blue & will definitely return soon!!
We had a table outside on a pleasant evening....Service was attentive, friendly and appropriate. Food was excellent quality wise. I would have liked to have seen slightly larger portions of the main ingredient in a few cases. A $40 Scallop dish had 3 scallops....but was mostly sauce and garnishment. The Scallops were delicious....no complaint about that. OTOH the appetizer version of Lobster Rolls were far more generous with 3 medium sized rolls. Overall probably one of the best seafood restaurants in the Austin area and I would recommend.
Always reliable, fresh, great-tasting seafood. Our favorite in the Galeria.
One of the best places in Bee Cave mall.
What a terrific find while we were in the Austin area. Went there for my birthday. Truly the best seafood gumbo I have ever had--flavorful, spicy, delicious. (In fact, going back there tonight to have a big bowl of it). Also solid blackened redfish, hubby loved their wedge and stuffed flounder. And terrific service. Discovered a new wine we loved too.
The Redish Louisiane was delicious as was the sesame crusted Ahi tuna.
The personnel are always nice. And the food is always fantastic.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back soon.
Best place to eat.
We were disappointed with the food and do not recommend dining here as there are much better seafood restaurants in Austin
Went there for brunch and there was a good selection of breakfast entrees to choose from. Also a broad selection of brunch cocktails/mimosas. I plan to go back, since there were so many appetizing menu items that I want to try. We sat inside, which was cool, but I want to try sitting outside, the next time; I think the vibe would have been more energetic.
Wonderful experience. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive - food outstanding.
Blackened Beef appetizer was over seasoned.
Red fish over cooked
I would not recommend going on a Friday or Saturday night. There appeared to be a lot of confusion with the staff and a lot of people training. Sundays and Thursdays we have had a great time. Thursday night with Adam a few weeks ago was amazing. We will go back and just ask for him.
The coconut shrimp was wonderful. And the Prisoner Cuttings wine is special.
The food was great. Everything we ordered was very fresh, and tasted great. This was the best experience we have had at this restaurant. Thank you
Their weekend brunch is outstanding! They start you off with an order of fresh beignets! The menu has a great variety and my personal favorites are the Chicken Fried Ribeye and eggs and the biscuits with gravy!
I love this place. I was visiting from Houston celebrating my bday and came across this place in Yelp. The reviews stated that the food was really great so we gave it a try. It did not disappoint at all. The beignets they serve as a complimentary breakfast item was to die for. The fried ribeye steak and eggs were sooo delicious. We even had their fresh oysters (the well Fleet) omg, they were sooooo fresh and tasty. I cannot wait to visit again.
It was an amazing experience. I was worried at first just because I had just moved to this area and didn’t know anything about it but it was amazing and I loved the staff. My mom had a blast for her birthday.
First time eating out and the experience was great. Felt very safe and the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet enough to have a nice conversation at out table.
The BEST place to have delicious food in the Lakeway/BeeCave area! They NEVER disappoint!
Dinner was very good. The wait staff was excellent
