Cafe Benedicte Ratings and Reviews
Cafe Benedicte is a very nice restaurant for a great dining experience in the Memorial area. Owners are always present and ensure great meals and service. It's a notch up from most of the other restaurants in the area without being over priced. Not loud - very pleasant.
Went on a Monday night and took advantage of the $50 dinner for two, salad/soup, entree and dessert. Great value and the Steak Oscar was absolutely delicious. (Please note the menu for this special changes weekly. Sign up on their website for their emails and you'll be notified of what's being offered each week.)
A colleague and I both had the salmon and she is a picky eater and said it was one of the best pieces of salmon she ever had. I have to agree, it was perfectly cooked. Everyone else at our table of 5 enjoyed their meal also. Prices overall are very reasonable for nice meal. Don't let the retail strip center fool you into thinking that Café Benedicte is not a high quality restaurant.
We visit Cafe Benedicte's each year for a friends birthday dinner. I have no idea how many years we have been doing this, but I have to say this was the best. Our meals were outstanding. The three Of us had different sea food en trays and each one was better than the other - wonderful meal.
Our service was exceptional as well.
Thank you for a wonderful evening
The food was ok. I ordered the steak diane off menu. Should have stayed with the lunch and brunch items. It was odd. Never had that dish served over corn. My daughter enjoyed the crepes with bechamel sauce. She did say they could have used half as many onions.
The service was off. Drinks were very slow or forgotten all together. Dessert was comped but not very good.
Too far a drive for so so food.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Out water was never empty and we never had to search for anyone to get something we might be wanting. The Bloody Mary wasn't terribly strong but for $5 it's what you'd expect. I really enjoyed my tempura salmon eggs Benedict.
My husband and I were celebrating our 55th anniversary!! We had been to the Cafe several times for celebrations by several groups of friends and had really enjoyed the food and service.
Everyone was terrific to us. Our waiter, Juan, was the best. A great personality and a very well trained and knowledgeable rep. for this establishment. We were treated to glasses of champagne which we loved, and thought it was very thoughtful since we were celebrating.
We loved our food and thought the prices were really very good. Also, for us, the location is perfect and not involved in the clutter of other areas.
We DEFINITELY will make this our "go to" and hope it is a roaring success always.
My family and I had a wonderful time at Cafe Benedicte! When we arrived there was a large party in the bar area and main dining room. They were able to accommodate our request for a quieter table as we wanted to be able to talk. They gave us a private room all to ourselves! We really appreciated that they went above and beyond! Our meal was excellent as was the service. Thank you! See you soon!
We had the beef stroganoff special with pasta and it was absolutely delish!!!
The only complaint I have is our steak appetizer was not warm. Good but room temperature. We were told it would take time to make so we assumed it would be hot from the stove.
We were at Cafe Benedicte to try their British food offerings in honor of St. George's Day. We thoroughly enjoyed all we ordered. My husband chose the bangers and mashed, and I tried the beef stew. We also had the split pea with ham and the Stilton and cauliflower soups. Both were outstanding!
There was a private party in one room of the restaurant. I believe the waitstaff and kitchen were not prepared for the full house they had. Our server was totally overwhelmed with the number of tables she was working. Our food and drink orders were slow coming, but our waitress was a pro, in that she made us feel as if we were the only customers in the house.
We also had a bit of a problem with our Open Table reservation. We had changed from a table of four to a table for six on Thursday. Somehow the message never made it to the restaurant, and so we had to wait for s table to be prepared for six. The owner was quite apologetic about the mixup, and made it right.
