Excelent food and personalized service
Bad inside atmosphere, very dark, food was ok and service was good, just felt like a cheap hotel. (came just to for Brunch)
We had the omelettes and coffee and a Bloody Mary - the service was excellent and the outside dining was awesome! The food was good and satisfying 🤩
The entire experience was extremely underwhelming. The food was expensive and looked better than it tasted. There’s no view of the water. It’s definitely a family restaurant in a hotel. If you’re under 45 and don’t have children I would not recommend.
Amazing food and really great friendly service staff all around
we had a fantastic time celebrating me and my twin birthday # 60
They didn’t have items on the menu stating they didn’t have the right equipment to cook a steak???
Pricey for quality
Food was sub par. Service was incredibly rushed even tho there were no guests around. Entree selections for dinner, not brunch. Also sub par.
We dined early at this very old establishment. The evening was lovely and we sat on the patio planted with lots of color and a tropical feel. Our server was Kona who my BF had running back and forth for tastes of wine before he was ready to order a bottle (sorry Kona).
The menu is quite limited but our two choices were winners. We were both super happy with our dinners which were creative and well prepared. BF had shrimp in a pasta dish with FRESH peas that they shell there. I found that to be amazing! My salmon came with a quinoa cake which was dense and almost meaty like, lots of flavor. The menu had not mentioned white asparagus on the dish but that was another accompaniment with the perfectly cooked salmon I ordered. It was another rare treat and the spears were so good.
This place could probably rest on its laurels since I think it’s been there for about 60 years and I’m sure caters to tourists, like us. But we were super happy and would have gone back again except that it was the last night of our stay in San Diego. Definitely recommend.
We are over the moon reading your detailed, thoughtful review! We appericate your kind recommendation and love hearing how impressed you were with the California coastal cuisine! Thank you again for being our guest; we look forward to seeing you again in the near future!
Waitress was great. Food was delicious but small portions for the price.
Thank you for joining us and we appericate your feedback, Joe. We hope to welcome you back again in the near future.
My friend & I went for Restaurant Week & had a lovely time. Delicious food & attentive service. Will definitely come again.
Thank you for joining us, Bailey! We are looking forward to welcoming you back again soon.
At opening they were out of wings. The special was not allowed in the bar area although some people were able to get it. They charged the higher price for the special. The employees were great. All in all it was worth the money. They have a great happy hour and I never felt rushed.
My family and I had a great time. We got there early and sat ourselves at a good table by the fireplace. The ambience and food was really good.
The food and wine paring was delicious. We went for restaurant week. I would go back for sure.
We loved the live guitar music, the ambiance, and the wonderful food!
Excellent dining experience! Will come back again ! We were very impressed & enjoyed just about everything!👍
The service was stand out. It was really cold and I forgot a jacket and they went out of their way to make me comfortable. The food was really good too! I had the sea bass. They made low fat taste great!
First time visitors and I think we will be back. Everyone was very nice and responsive. We only had one issue and that was the coffee machine did not work, but the food and service was so great we can easily overlook it. I’m sure thy would have fixed it for us too, but we decided just to wait until breakfast.
Jazmin was a wonderful waitress! Thank you for making our first night on vacation welcoming and relaxing 😊
Our family went for Easter brunch, and was very disappointed in the food. Not much taste and our table was outside the awning so very windy! The umbrella shades didn’t cover the table. It felt great to go out for brunch but we won’t be going back until Easter brunch is back inside.
The food was exceptional and the service was better. Kona ensured we wanted for nothing and was very friendly and helpful. She ensured we had a memorable Easter Brunch experience. The carnitas hash was to die for. I hope it becomes a regular menu item. The sea bass was also out of this world. We will be back.
We don’t recommend this place
The good- they had a live singer there and they were very good and the patio seating was beautiful and the location was wonderful. The food was hit or miss. There was some really good food and some very subpar items too. It was very over priced for the quality.
Host makes customers sanitize hands before seating.
Limited menu ... very clean and excellent service.
Tables and chairs are thoroughly sanitized between customers. Heat lamps on patio.
Great service! It was wonderful to revisit the place where we had gotten married 21 years ago.
Nice patio seating
We had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner and a perfect evening. Our food was delicious.
WE HAVE COME ON VALENTINES DAY FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS AND WE ALWAYS HAVE GREAT TIME AND LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE...
Great overall experience. Friendly safe staff and well thought wine pairings with unique flavors. Highly recommend
The sea bass was excellent. The filet was not very good. Beautiful table in front of the fireplace
The customer service was excellent, they always ask if they can help you with any else. The food was so good especially the creme brûlée to die for.
Delicious ,I really recommend it and it’s a nice place
We got the best seat in the house right in front of the fireplace then we had to move from the rain. Our waitress was so nice and accommodating.
We were staying at the Bahia Resort and ate at Cafe Bahia a couple of times. Each time was delicious! Surprising for a hotel restaurant. The ambiance is lovely. It’s open air but they provide large heaters to make it more comfortable.
Everything was awesome. They were great for my girlfriend’s birthday. Our Waitress gave great food advice. Planing on making another reservation before we leave!
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Cafe Bahia. Staff was attentive, friendly, and accomodating. Our waitress Jazmin especially! We celebrated my son's birthday and she made him feel appreciated on his special day. Thank you Cafe Bahia and staff.
Birthday dinner fir my wife , everything was perfect
Wonderful experience all the way around. Our server, Betty, was fantastic. Food was delicious and great value. Flat bread pizza was delicious with crisp, thin crust. Salmon in broth was well-seasoned.
Wonderful breakfast and fast friendly service.
Wedding dinner. Everyone was so very helpful.
