Cafe at The Pfister
Always good in every way. The new combo of soup, salad, or sandwich is a winner in my book especially for small appetites'.
We were sat at a table, given water by our waitress, and then got no service for the next 20 minutes. The same hostess sat a gentleman right next to us and he received immediate service from the same waitress. Given the absurdity we got up and left. On our way out the hostess asked us the issue, when we explained what happened she told us the other gentleman was a regular and we would have been helped right after him. No apology. Guess it’s a great spot if you’re a regular, but they aren’t interested anyone new. Plenty of other nice brunch’s in Milwaukee to go to given the attitude of this place’s staff.
I’m sure things are different due to COVID, but it was not the amazing breakfast that we have had previously. Server seemed very busy and overloaded.
Beautiful hotel with a fantastic little cafe. We will definitely go back!
Good food, servers and manager were great during COVID situation.
I wish I could remember the name of our server, she was fantastic, attentive, dressed for safety, and have a great attitude all things considered. It was our first time getting breakfast and not many places offer sit-down service in the AM, and I am really glad I chose Pfister's cafe.
Good food, attentive and friendly staff. Imaginative dishes make comfort food special. They have their own pastry chef too!
Excellent as it always is! Sheena is a rock star waitress, too.
It’s always a pleasure to have breakfast at the Cafe. Nice menu, friendly servers, terrific ambiance.
Maybe not the Mason St. Grill, but it’s always fine to dine at the Pfister!
It was very nice place for New Years brunch.
Meals are always outstanding at The Pfister. My family and I have a Christmas brunch every year.
Really nice place for a quick breakfast. Friendly personnel and good quality food.
Cafe at the Pfister is one of my favorite places to enjoy Sunday brunch. When you check in, the hostess makes you feel so welcome. The food is always delicious and the service is fantastic. I'd definitely recommend this place!
Great place to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Food is excellent
Great service as always.
Amazing place and the best staff.
Our server, Carrie, was the best! She is very knowledgeable about the menu and makes great recommendations. She anticipated our needs on everything. The food is great too with a good selection of items to choose from.
Our server was lovely. Our breakfasts were obviously comprised of quality ingredients; however, they were lukewarm as was the decaf. Consequently, I rate the experience a disappointment.
The go to restaurant for the local political community. Plus, great food and many tasty gluten free options.
Fantastic dining experience every time!
Wonderful food! Awesome fresh coffee and truly enjoyed the service.
The food was outstanding and the waitress that we had was exceptional. It was our first time at The Pfister and would definitely recommend it to others. Thanks for an excellent meal and a wonderful time.
We enjoyed brunch at Cafe at The Pfister on Sunday as we have in the past. At this visit, a small child a couple of tables away on the "veranda" was having a melt down, and the child's high-pitched screams made conversation challenging. Unfortunate--all the way around!
Our server was Carrie, and she was a gem. She was attentive and made us feel very welcome. The food was outstanding. My only gripe was it was so unbearably hot by the windows, even with the air on. The fans needed to be on to help with that.
This is not your new hipster breakfast place. And, to be honest, sometimes I don't want that. Sometimes I want a quiet breakfast with tea and toast and a bit of stuffiness. This is a 45+ crowd that has probably never played Minecraft or Fortnite. But, the food wasn't too bland and the service was excellent. Stop in for a coffee and a scone on a Sunday morning.
Love this place with old world vibes and excellent food!
My favorite is smoked salmon!!!!
Food, atmosphere and service were very poor. A very disappointing experience for Downtown Dining Week 2019.
Downtown Milwaukee dining week lunch. First of all, the Pfister is a gorgeous place to be. Ours server was excellent, our food was excellent, the value of course is outstanding. All in all we had a great time. Thank you Pfister
The food was delicious. It was a little pricey, but it's a fancy hotel, so that's to be expected. Our server was very polite, but not good. She did not check back on us for over a half an hour after delivering our food. We also arrived at a time when both breakfast and brunch was being served. I inquired about soup on the menu, which was listed, and she told me no and that they wouldn't have any at this time. I pointed it out on the menu and she seemed annoyed with me.
Kind of like a higher end Denney. Dry fish with bones on some random pasta sauce with no pasta? Some over deep fried penuts and a few greens. I think they found the cook at the retirement home. Not impressed!!
Part of the downtown dining week experience. I was never at this restaurant so it was nice having the opportunity to try it. Overall the food was good but the sandwich was not hot and only mildly warm but had a good taste. Sat by the window which was very nice.
Nice, comfortable atmosphere and attentive, professional level of service you find at higher-end establishments, which is awesome to have with a moderately-priced lunch. Good tasting, familiar lunch options with interesting twists. Such as ketchup plus two additional dipping sauces with the French fries, homemade pickles and a BBQ sauce with peach.
Excellent breakfast and Marisha, our server, was truly fun, caring and extremely competent!!
We had an excellent Mother’s Day breakfast. Always fun to look at the artwork afterwards. We hope to come back.
I have a calling to the cafe many times and I've always enjoyed it you will not be disappointed food and service and atmosphere is one of a kind
our table for 9 was waiting for us the food and server were exceptional
I WAS RECOMMEND BY A FRIEND AND IT WAS GREAT. WILL BE COMING BACK VERY SOON
