Everything was AMAZING. We ordered the roasted chicken, gumbo, salmon, veggie pasta, special pasta, and it was all perfection. Literally the best meal we had during our entire trip. Our only regret is hat we had no room left for dessert.
The food's good and the wait staff is good but the seating hostess, whatever the title, is rude and unhelpful. This is the second visit there in which we've been treated rudely or indifferently by the seating person, despite having made reservations on Open Table. Reservations are necessary but pointless. It's often a half hour wait EVEN if you have a reservation, and the staff gives you no clue about how long the wait might be and seems to be offended if you even ask.
Met up with a friend. Lovely garden space. Shrimp & grits delicious.
Love Cafe Amelie. Have been there many times. Great place and to dine when you can sit outside
The tables and chairs are a bit rustic and old but the food is great and the service was top notch
I had the duck breast and it was done perfectly. My dinner companion had the double cut pork chop
A great dinner at a great place
The place is magically beautiful especially if you are sitting in the courtyard. Make sure you note that request in your reservation, otherwise they will say you didn’t have a preference. Our server, Greg, was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. He even gave us a glimpse of the history of the place. We were there for brunch. We ordered the shrimps, Sunny side eggs with grits, frittata and the poutine. Everything was so delicious and tasted authentic. Would certainly go back anytime I am in New Orleans.
Great brunch place! Delicious food and cocktails. Arrived early for our reservation and hostesses were friendly and helpful. Our server was perfect... attentive but didn't hover. Very relaxing and fun meal.
Absolutely delightful outing, myself and 6 other fun ladies!
This was my second trip to Cafe Amelie! I visited three years ago at the recommendation of a friend, and I will now ensure it's on my agenda every time I visit New Orleans. If you enjoy brunching alfresco, this is the place for you. Their courtyard seating offers a quaint but energetic space for enjoying good food and seasonal cocktails. Perfect for small groups or dates! Get yourself a weekend reservation to Cafe Amelie, and enjoy all the charm and deliciousness that NOLA has to offer.
Relaxing intimate vibe
Brunch! Great courtyard charming best for brunch
We love Amelie! Come here every year to celebrate birthdays and it never disappoints. Great cocktails, fabulous gumbo and the blackened catfish is a favorite!
This is one of our favorite places when we visit the French Quarter. We especially enjoy the outdoor patio dining. Great service, very good food and very friendly staff...
LOVED the ambiance. Relaxing and sweet in a NOLA courtyard. Highly recommend!
Café Amelie was absolutely fantastic! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and an excellent location. I have a gluten allergy and our server gave me all the information to find the perfect meal for us. We started with the brussel sprouts, bacon, and dates which is an excellent combination. My partner had the double cut pork chop and I enjoyed the lamb special for the evening. Both meals were excellent, hearty and satisfying.
My chicken and waffles lacked taste and my partners lamb meatloaf was dry .
The table next to us had lno a salmon samdwiches and eggs which looked good .
