Lovely as always.
Great service and a nice variety on the menu. The menu changes so need to go back in a few months to try something else.
Favorite restaurant for 20 years. If you've not been I recommend you check it out.
My wife and I both loved it. I am a vegetarian and had no issues.
Cafe Alma is a welcoming, intelligently managed restaurant that serves up marvellous food with graceful service.
We have always loved Cafe Alma. It’s a little more value-priced than their restaurant. The food is always excellent. Their week night specials, especially the ribs, are really great.
It was excellent service and food. Highly recommend it.
Lovely New Year’s Day brunch. Server was quiet and not very attentive. Didn’t refill coffee or water, and long breaks between visiting the table although it wasn’t crazy busy at 1-2:30pm. Food was delicious. I had a carrot-apple juice mimosa that was a fun and different option. Overall would visit again.
Cafe Alma and restaurant Alma are both In my top 5 places to eat in the Twin Cities!
Creative, beautiful menu. Modestly priced, casual yet tasteful atmosphere; welcoming and not attempting to be anything it isn’t. Friendly staff, very enjoyable dining experience. Will definitely go back!
Emily, our server, was outstanding, and accommodated our every request. The timing of the food courses was perfect and not rushed. Everything was excellent. We'll be back!
We had a lovely breakfast here recently with friends, the most recent of several visits in the last few years. The food and coffee were delicious - I loved the salmon tartine and the Cafe Leche. The only downside was that we had ordered a chocolate croissant (pain au chocolat) and they were out and we went for an almond croissant substitute but it was VERY crunchy! I think it was a bit overbaked and ended up a bit disappointing, from a place where we expect the very best.
Great food, great place
Unique menu items well prepared. Efficient, business friendly staff. Valet parking a must unless you're very lucky and intrepid.
Cozy, comfortable spot with evolved but approachable food options to please a wide range of palates. Great spot for relaxed conversation and cocktails.
Everyone at the table was pleased with the food. We had an especially good waiter. I can recommend the olives, cauliflower and lamb burger.
The room/building is very comfortable, location is great being near downtown but without the traffic hassle. Parking has always been plentiful.
Sort of a rocky start to this restaurant experience. I could have sworn I made the reservation for Restaurant Alma. Apparently, I didn’t...so after hyping our friends about the extraordinary restaurant experience they were about to have at Restaurant Alma, we were told that our table was in the Cafe, Alma’s poorer younger sister. Told by the hostess, this is an ongoing problem with many diners...an Open Table issue?? She recommended that we contact the restaurant directly in the future.
In any case, the Cafe menu is more directed toward lighter more casual meals at very slightly lower prices than Restaurant. Limited options. Food was good but not memorable. The salmon I ordered was served in a soup bowl with a dollop of a side. Appetizers were uninspired. Our friends ordered steaks which must have been a bit tough to cut. As they tried to cut their meat, their plates would spin on the hard surface of the table. No place mats. Flatware and paper napkins stacked in a basket at the end of the table.
Service was good; ambience was nice...nothing special.
No reason to return here, quite frankly.
The evening at Café Alma was excellent, with interesting cocktails and truly satisfying food in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Service was wonderful and good was great. Portions were enough to leave you satisfied without stuffing you and the price point was perfect. Our party of five was very happy with everything. Wonderful experience and looking forward to returning soon!
its the best restaurant in the twin cities. the food is balanced and clean and thoughtfully prepared and presented. the service is top notch, the atmosphere is lovely.
Our server was AWESOME and was super receptive to pointing out items on the menu that would accommodate my food sensitivities. The food was AMAZING.
We always have fabulous food there but the other night we had ribs which were quite dry. They did however take them off our bill and were very gracious about our being honest that they were over done.
always great here!
We were a party of two for brunch. Everything was very tasty! Portions are adequate but on the smaller side. Prices aren't crazy so order a side with your entree. Well worth it! Seating is a little tight but the service is great. Order something from the bakery to take home with you. Croissants were fresh and delicious! The only reason I did not give them 5 stars...my toast was a little charred. :( Otherwise a great dining experience. Will surely be back.
Food was amazing, service was timely. Love this restaurant! We highly recommend.
We had a great evening of food, drinks, friends and fun! They were able to get us off to our show on time too! Great place for any event!
Amazing food, wine and service! Loved it!
Service was exceptional. Loved the savory French toast and duck.
I love coming here again and again! Great brunch spot!
Great dinner experience
Server was great! We split two meals and were torn between one of the options. The server provided great insight on each and pointed us in the direction of the best choice. She also took the time to explain some of the beautiful art that struck my curiosity. The Brioche Custard French Toast and Baked Egg Strata were DELICIOUS. The service and food made for a fantastic experience.
Excellent! Wonderful food, wonderful service, and especially awesome when you have a gift card to cover the costs!
Everything about our experience exceeded expectations!
Really great food and cocktails. Had the duck confit French toast. Excellent.
It’s always good. One of my favorite restaurants in the city
Another home run from my favorite eatery. We enjoyed the whitefish and crackers as a snack and loved the cocktails, too. I had the lamb burger, and it was divine. Thanks for the great service and stellar food, Alma!
Wow. First time to Cafe Alma and I'll be back. Food and service excellent, terrific variety, fun cocktails. More casual and price friendly than Restaurant Alma, with a more accessible menu. HIGHLY recommend.
The food was great, the service was a bit slow though very friendly.
9pm reservation. Finally sat at 9:45.
We had one foody in the group order for everyone and shared. It was all delicious.
