Cafe Alfredo Ratings and Reviews
Very disappointed this time! Alfredo sauce was runny . Noodles on my husband ‘s noodles was not drained very good. When my sister asked about the charge for side of noodles he gave a price of 5 but was 10. Did not fix the bill! My husband said we will not be back to this place!
The place appeared to be a bit bleak, the waiter was not very refined , reluctant to offer any help or recommendations of food and drink choices, abrupt, and more on the "I am bored with you" side.
The menu was limited, stereotypical Italian offerings. The food was tasty, but the servings were small, and I felt them a bit over processed.
The desserts were supermarket quality.
The wine was OK, but expensive in this the context, just as the food was overpriced.
This was our 2nd time dining here and overall was disappointed. Just felt like everything was just average. Maybe post hurricane struggles? My food at first was lukewarm so had to send it back. They were very apologetic but still not as impressed as first visit.
We had a fabulous time. Our waiter saw to our every need and really, I think that is an impossible task -7 friends celebrating life, always talking about food and the next eating event. This one stayed on our list, we were there only about 6 weeks earlier. Half of us drove from Ft. Myers - through flood waters, hungry for the fish special and happy hour.
A poor experience. The food itself wasn't bad, but the portions were tiny. The restaurant was hot and overall uninviting. A group of older people showed up and refused to be seated next to us, presumably because we had four kids. We were the only people under 70 years old in the place. Not only were the portions abysmal, but we bought an adult entree for two kids to share and they charged us a $6 sharing fee. $24 for a tiny plate of fettuccine alfredo with chicken is bad enough, but $30 with the plate sharing fee is robbery. If you like overpaying for tiny portions in a hot restaurant, Cafe Alfredo might be your kind of place. Plus they tacked on 20% automatically for gratuity, which I would have left anyway even for the poor experience, but it is really crummy that they didn't give me a choice. There are too many places to eat in Naples for us to waste our time here.
Another great dinner at our go-to Italian restaurant in Shoppes at Vanderbilt. We enjoyed a wonderful cold Caesar salad, lightly fried calamari and veal marsala. Service was speedy and nice. The evening was very pleasant. I also love the inside-outside bar - so like an Italian restaurant.
My wife, mother and I enjoyed a very good meal at Café Alfredo, taking advantage of the Restaurant Week specials available. Our meals were delicious and the service was excellent. We asked to sit in the back of the restaurant where it is usually quieter but a couple of noisy folks at the nearby bar torpedoed that plan. Aside from the raucous noise from the bar it was a delicious and fun evening.
The fried calamari was nothing special. For entrees, we ordered the snapper Francese which was bland. The lobster ravioli was advertised as cooked in a pink sauce, but was rather smothered in marinara and they were kind enough to leave pieces of lobster shell in the dish. For dessert we ordered creme brûlée and the cannoli. The creme brûlée was clearly frozen, then microwaved and caramelized, and served as cold soup. I did not eat. The cannoli was the restaurant's only positive. For $100+ meal, there are many better restaurants in Naples.
I ordered the Thursday night special - it was cold ! I didn't want to make a fuss in front of a friend who was trying this restaurant for the first time. I'll go back, but I will speak up about the entree if it is not up to par -- because money doesn't grow on trees.
I made a reservation for outside dining if possible. When we got there the hostess told us a lot of people came in requesting outside - I'm assuming they didn't have a reservation. We were seated inside and when our friends arrived, we decided it was way too noisy so we asked to just wait until a table outside was available. There was one available quickly. We sat outside - much quieter. All of our dinners were delicious! Will definitely be back.
