Great restaurant . The service, food and ambiance are great . Our server Enzo was outstanding . Recommend the restaurant to anyone who loves food .
As always it is wonderful experience. The food is amazing as well as the service.
Cafe Alaia is a neighborhood Gem, good food, ambiance, and value.
This is definitely the restaurant to go to! Food was AMAZING! The calamari was to die for with its special sauce! Pappardelle pasta with lamb ragú, yummy!! Excellent service! I’m going back with my guy soon!!
Incredible food, great service and good ambience. Love this place
Way too noisy
Table for 2 very small and glass of wine very small also. It would take a good few glasses to have one singing.
Won’t be back.
I have been once before. Rest of my group has not been there. We all loved our appetizers and entrees. Staff was excellent. Sat for 2.5 hours outside with the right amount of attentiveness from the waiter. Highly recommend.
Love this restaurant. Great Atmosphere if you like a busy place
The food was delicious... and service was slow but caring.
Ask for an ingredient list. This chef likes to get creative, like subtly adding oregano to the background of a livornese. Livorno is not supposed to have oregano. What the customer cannot tolerate oregano? It was a pleasant lunch hour by an unpleasant afternoon.
The service was excellent but we had to wait a bit for the food. It was totally worth it. Excellent quality and presentation with generous portions!
Server was knowledgeable, fun and not pushy
All in all a great experience!!
enjoyed our first visit. look forward to return at an hour later in the evening when the noise level is reduced. fine food and drink all around.
The restaurant has a Michelin Bib designation for good reason—the food is always freshly and perfectly prepared, and the service excellent without being stuffy. Spinach and ricotta ravioli, and the orata meals were wonderful (as was the ricotta cheesecake)
Food was good, bar area was a little loud.
Good service. Outstanding food Roomy Good Ambiance wine by the glass had good selection red and white
Great food. Great service. VERY loud. Table of 6 next to us more or less screaming the entire night.
I had heard mixed reviews but this place is always packed so I was curious. It was alright. It wasn’t bad, but I’m certainly not tempted to go back. I feel like the food wasn’t tasty enough for an Italian restaurant. The outdoor seating is super cute but I’d rather make the trip down to somewhere equally casual like Extra Virgin in the west village.
Great food Vincenzo is a great host and chef ! Food was so good can’t say enough about it .
Cafe Alaia has a great vibe, delicious food, great service and inventive cuisine. The specials are just that, interesting combinations of flavor and ingredients. You’ve got to check this place out. You’ll keep coming back for more.
Had high hopes but the place is noisy and the food disappointing. The cesar salad appetizer was ok, the zucchini parmesan appetizer was underwhelming; too cheesy and not enough zucchini. The branzino was nicely prepared but the ravioli, which was a pasta special, was lacking. The sauce is not good and pasta was soggy, not at all el dente. Overall underwhelming, disappointing and we will not be going back.
Absolutely enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience. Great food, great drinks and great service!
Outstanding restaurant and service. Really loved the NYC vibe inside for a Westchester restaurant. Buffalo Mozzarella, zucchini flowers, parpadelle….all incredible. Owner connected us with a rare Sardinia wine to complement meal. One of the top 5 restaurants in Westchester.
The food is excellent, the service is great and the owner Vincenzo is very friendly. I highly recommend the braised lamb ragu pasta dish.
WAY too noisy. Had to yell to have a conversation. No atmosphere. Food was good but wouldn’t go back.
Lovely to eat outside for a light lunch of appetizers. Food was prepared well and served hot and service was very prompt even though they were finishing up with a large noisy party. Since we just had a two appetizers it’s difficult to speak for the whole menu, but we will definitely go back.
Excellent, authentic and inventive Italian food, with an emphasis on seafood. Will definitely go back and make it our ‘go-to’ when in this area of Westchester. Reminded me of being in a hip ristorante along the Amalfi Coast. Highly recommended!
Great food. Menu is different and interesting but also lots of go-to items. Servers were friendly.
Delicious food and wine! Was perfect outdoor dining for lunch. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent. Attentive and charming staff. Will definitely be back soon
Great creative food offerings
Anniversary. The food was bland and not interesting at all.
Our dinner at cafe alaia felt very special. The ambiance is nice and the service is unobtrusive though at times it would have been nice to easily flag a waiter down.
The eggplant soufflé appetizer was one of the most incredible dishes I have ever tasted. It was light and airy but meaty at the same time. We ordered a second one. My husband got the rack of lamb and was in heaven. I ordered the shrimp and white bean appetizer but it was way too heavily seasoned with rosemary.
Overall it was a very special evening.
Amazing service and food was great! Love the new space
Incredible service and food
One of the finest restaurants in southern Westchester. The God's Honest Truth. lol Rev. Anthony D. Sorgie
Always a great meal and a wonderful wine selection of smaller (top notch) Italian producers. A neighborhood treasure. Vincenzo and his staff are wonderful.
The only hiccup was that I was seated in one room and my dining companion was seated in another room. I finally got up to see if they had arrived and found them seated in the bar room.
Everything started out lovely and the busier it got the less service we received. We were not able to get the attention of anyone to order dessert and coffee. We finally got someone and by that point we just got the check and left. I may be back to try and get the full experience.
Food is phenomenal. Everything is fresh and delicious.
