Good spot to have lunch and take a break from the Bush Museum. We had the grilled chicken sandwich which was very good. Nice atmosphere.

My husband and I love the food and the staff here. Always a great lunch date. Mrs. Bush’s sandwich on the menu is the my favorite sandwich in town. :)

Great service! Hamburger looked great, but tasteless. The grilled cheese brisket sandwich was spectacular! The crawfish pot pie was not good at all.

A great experience for my out of town guests with our adventure to the President George Bush Museum! All of us had an enjoyable time with dining at Cafe 43 and the tour of the museum with the special exhibit entitled "First Ladies." An awesome adventure with the tasty food from the cafe and a time to relax in such a pleasant environment! Thanks so much!!

We took my mother in law here before we went to the Bush Library. We really liked it. People were dressed a bit fancy, maybe the after church crowd and certainly draws in an older crowd. The service was very good and the food was very good too. I had a hard time deciding but got the Hot chicken and corn pancake from the brunch menu. It was very good, I ate too much!

I have visited cafe 43 about four times. All my visits have offered great service, ambience and food. This last visit was just average. I ordered the grilled avocado sandwich. The chicken was dry almost cardboard.
Dessert was great.

We ate lunch before touring the museum. Very enjoyable, service was friendly, food was nicely prepared with fresh ingredients. Panni was average but salad and the chicken/pancakes were yum. This is definitely NOT your typical museum restaurant.

Outstanding. We went in conjunction with our visit to the presidential library, but the café took us by surprise at how good it was and how good the food was. My wife still talking about the BLT she had being one of the best she’s ever had ....

I take my 97 year old mother to Cafe 43 at least twice a year, for her birthday and Mother's Day. I have also gone with friends for lunch. Only once did I have a less than good meal. It's a light, fun, easy place to go. The tables aren't too close together, there is no loud, background music, the service is good and there is usually something interesting going on in the museum. Food is good! I love the Brunch French Toast.

The menu changes every season, so don't expect to find the same items on the menu from spring to fall. The fare ranges from lighter dishes to a few Texas mainstays but there's typically something for everyone.
The food is always impeccable and the staff is prompt. I think I had my iced tea refilled at least three times without noticing.
I went with the zucchini pesto salad, which was delicious, but I tried a bite of my friend's grilled salmon salad and I would order it next time (and I don't care for salmon typically).
