Brunch: Sunday: 11:00am - 3:00pm;
This restaurant is amazing! Not your typical museum food at all! Have dined here 3 times and we are never disappointed!!! Go here even if you’re not going to the museum! Food is top notch, service is great and the atmosphere is great! Going back in warmer months and sit outside.
Only downside is the parking.
We had reservations at 1:00 for December 7, 2018. We arrived to see a long line waiting to get a seat for the restaurant. To my pleasant surprise we were taken right to our seats. The food was delicious and they have a good Children's Menu. We all enjoyed the food and the attentive service. Great way to celebrate with the family after touring the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
Clean. Excellent servers. Bright lighted. Varied menu.
We went through the library and then had lunch after it was so amazing and I can't wait to go back
Pre museum luncheon with friends and our first visit. Corn chowder with lump crab was creamy and flavorful. Entrée salads were fresh, well dressed and appealing. Crab and shrimp served over spaghetti squash was exceptional, light and nicely composed. Mrs. Bush's house sandwich was very good and accompanied by a generous serving of sweet potato fries. Dessert menu was tempting but our holiday resolve prevailed.
Service was low key and unhurried. Several holiday lunches were underway but handled well by the staff.
Overall, a lovely experience.
The food was wonderful, we had the fried avacado, (who knew you could fry avacado), and the corn soup was outstanding as well.
Incredible food. We had both soups. Butternut carrot and corn both incredible! My husband had the corn beef and it was a lot of meat perfectly done. I had Mrs Presidents favorite and it was very good too with yummy sweet potato fries. We loved it. It was our Anniversary lunch.
Excellent service/menu! Convenient for before/after visiting Presidential Center exhibits. Noisy.
Parking and handicap access are NOT good. Need better signage for parking in general. Handicap parking is too far from entry. I would also recommend offering parking vouchers. Because of the parking situation, I would not visit Cafe 43 again unless attending an exhibit or other function.
Awesome lunch, , food, service & ambiance were top notch and we look forward to going back soon.
Cafe 43 never disappoints! The clever and tasty food and the warm service is such a treat!
We were a party of six and drove into Dallas to visit the Meadows. #43 was a perfect place for lunch before we visited the Meadows Museum. Beautiful day with beautiful people.
This is a lovely place to sit. The food is quite good, the service professional and non-intrusive, and it is quiet enough that you can have a good conversation with your friends at the table.
Great service from Raphael. Food was very good. Nice environment. Not rushed.
The waiter and management staff were over-the-top. A great experience!
My first time at Café 43 and found it to be a great place for lunch. A broad menu to suit almost any appetite and I'll certainly go back
This is my 2nd trip to the Bush Library in three years. I purposely made a reservation to come back to Cafe 43. Excellent work by the chefs again. Reasonable pricing and a lovely atmosphere.
Don't miss the fried avacado appetizer! It's heavenly!!! The atmosphere is wonderful and our server was fantastic. Entrees were all very good (the Salmon and quinoa dish was our favorite).
We've eaten lunch here before and been pretty good, nothing special. This time 2 of us had to send our lunch back for something else. Don't order the brisket sandwich!! With so much delicious brisket in Dallas, you would think they could get it right!! It looked like it had been frozen, thawed, reheated and covered over by cheese on a soft bun. The brisket was so tough and dry that it was uneatable. Exchanged for a cup of chicken salad and it was good. Others stuck to salads and they were okay but nothing special. Two of our group didn't get what they ordered but kept quiet and eat it anyway. Our waiter got huffy when he had to take back our brisket sandwich and looked puzzled when he was told two orders were wrong. Our group of 8 probably won't be returning!
This is one of my favorite places to take out of town guests. The atmosphere is quiet and great for conversation. The setting is in the Bush Museum which is a special site in Dallas. The menu and food are always good. I’ve never had a disappointing meal. Finally, the service staff are friendly and always pleasant to serve! I’d highly recommend !
Great place for lunch or luncheon meeting with fabulous service. A real gem
We were visiting the Bush Library. We found Cafe 43 to have delicious food with great service and lots of smiles!
Wonderful restaurant - service is impeccable and food is amazing.
I got the avocado toast and my sunny side eggs on top were not hot which meant the yoke was kind of congealed and I found no real seasoning on the avocado toast portion of the meal which made it taste very bland. My partner got the gravy and pulled beef breakfast and the sweet BBQ sauce was very overpowering for a breakfast. I found service and atmosphere to be excellent. This was my 2nd trip, my 1st visit was a home run, my 2nd was very disappointing.
The service was exceptional. Thank you for a nice afternoon at a Texas treasure.
Food was good but not memorable. For the money I expected better. Smoked chicken salad with berries and pecans was very good but the zucchini noodle salad and the corn and crab chowder was just so-so. Soup was served lukewarm. Would probably not cool me back.
The food was good, service was good, but not intrusive, atmosphere was pleasant. I would recommend it, but limited hours may be a problem for some.
Wonderful Sunday brunch. Excellent services with fabulous menu.
excellent, fresh, different takes on typical dishes. nice ambiance
Cafe 43 was very accommodating especially when we arrived early and some of our party joined later. They were terrific, and it's a great space and good food.
Had a lovely lunch with friends! Food was very delicious and beautifully plated. Cost is reasonable.
Overall, this restaurant is consistently very good in all areas.
Nice. Good service!!!
I ordered the Brisket Sandwich with fries. It was a good, typical type Reuben type Sandwich. My friend ordered a salad and said it was good, nothing special. We did treat ourselves to the banana ice cream for dessert and it was delicious! A nice, quiet lunch after our tour of the Bush library.
Happy that Gluten Free bread and desserts available...we had both and they were very good!
Read about the Smoked Chicken Salad, so ordered that, while my friend had Avacado Toast.
Setting was elegantly casual, but could use more sound proofing. Service very attentive, esp. with gluten free options...gluten free dessert fabulous! (Recommend: gluten free info on menu.)
Every other meal here has been excellent. Saturday I chose the corned beef Reuben sandwich. It was virtually inedible because the sauerkraut was placed directly on the bottom piece of bread. it was completely soaked i and gooey in brine. Awful. And the wooden toothpick left a little splinter in the top piece of bread as well. I was extremely disappointed.
The room is beautiful. Food extremely good. Service impeccable.
Cafe 43 has good food, excellent service and is quieter and less frenetic than many area restaurants are at lunch. The menu is diverse enough to satisfy a group and in a nutshell is American classics with a spin (either Texas twist, in season fruits or veggies or healthier than the classic). My mother-in-law uses a walker and is hard of hearing. The staff at Cafe 43 found us a quiet corner where she could hear me and stash her walker. Although she has been a die-hard Democrat for a number of years, had no interest in touring the museum, and wasn't "sold" on my idea of eating lunch there, by the end of our meal she was an enthusiastic fan. Dropping her off was easy and our entire lunch was smooth and enjoyable.
Cafe 43 was the perfect ending to a visit at the Bush library. Service was excellent, food was delicious, atmosphere was pleasant. We enjoyed our time there.
We regularly dine at Cafe 43 after church on a Sunday. The hospitality, service, ambiance and wonderful food make this a favorite restaurant for the two of us.
We drove all the way from Fort Worth in traffic to eat lunch at 43. It was amazing! From the corn chowder to the peach dessert. Everything was excellent. Thank you!
