It was a fantastic meal. The Reuben sandwich was very fresh and my friends felt the same. A nice relaxing atmosphere.
This was my first time to eat at Cafe 43 and it was so good! The food was fresh and delicious. The servers were very helpful and attentive. We will definitely go back.
Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, good selection of food options, and well priced. I had the chicken salad served with tasty wheat toast and extra tasty chicken mix. My fiance said his corned beef sandwich was the best Rueben style sandwich he has had in years. The caramel brownie with ice cream desert is rich rich rich-share worthy for sure! We would definately dine here again.
For a "library restaurant," this was a pleasant surprise. There is a varied menu, including starters, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. The corn soup with crab was delicious and a lovely start to our meal. Presentation was also quite nice. Service was okay, but our server seemed to be having a bad day, as he had very little interaction with us. Other servers seemed to be much more engaged with their guests. Would definitely go back, but hope for a friendlier server.
This was a three-generation lunch gathering: my 88-year-old mother and my younger daughter gathered for lunch prior to visiting the First Ladies exhibit. My older daughter joined us after lunch to visit the museum exhibits. The lunch experience was excellent!
Brunch on Saturday❗️
For there for brunch when it opened and it was empty, so service was fantastic. Not a typical museum restaurant - lovely venue.
Café 43 for our girlfriend outing to see the First Lady Exhibit then a leisurely lunch was a perfect setting. We each ordered a different sandwich and everyone's meal was exceptional. We were able to stay and visit for 1 1/2 hours and did not feel rushed. Our server was excellent with a great personality.
Really enjoyed the food and service was excellent. There was a large group and the room was very noisy
The food was out of this world. Excellent options for all. The BLT and the Laura's Favorite sandwich was outstanding. I highly recommend you save room for a scoop of homemade banana pecan ice cream!
Cafe 43 is a great place for lunch. They have a varied menu with great choices and the service is unbelievable
Excellent, Delicious, beautiful decor, understated Elegance with Southern gracious charm. Just what I would expect from President and Mrs. Bush.
We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation & were warmly & enthusiastically greeted & seated by charming receptionist. The waiter was cordial, very informative & accommodating. The food was fresh, VERY appetizing & visually appealing. Definitely, a FIVE-star presentation & execution.
Classy place with great food and view of gardens at moderate price. Food is fresh including fresh brewed iced tea. It's not a huge menu, but everything is well prepared. You don't have to pay admission to GW Bush Library to dine there. However, parking will be a hike - but worth it.
I initially received the incorrect order which took some time to correct. Once I received the correct food, it was good.
5 of us went to Cafe 43 for Easter brunch. Had a very nice dining experience. May brother loved the peach and banana French toast on pecan bread. Shrimp and grits were delicious. My husband got the southern Benedict and really enjoyed it. Mimosas made with grapefruit juice were a nice change to the traditional mimosa. Would definitely eat here again & go back for a tour of the Bush library. :)
Great service, food and wonderful to tour the Bush Library and Museum after lunch. Made Easter Sunday brunch peaceful and delicious!
The food is always excellent. The portions are perfect. This is the ideal spot for lunch when enjoying a visit to the Bush Library/Museum.
Enjoyed a fantastic lunch with friends visiting from South Africa. The service was perfect and the food outstanding.
The service has always been outstanding at Cafe 43. The quality of the food is very good. However, we have eaten at Cafe 43 several times and the menu never seems to change. I would like it to get a little more creative and have entirely different menus with the seasons.
We enjoyed lunch before our museum tour. We enjoyed that also.
food and service were excellent. The restaurant was a very nice addition to our visit to the presidential museum
The bread was ok but the food was excellent! Our server was very friendly and accommodating.
I had the Corn soup and spaghetti squash which i highly recommend. I will be back soon for sure!
The food was very good and the service outstanding. Very friendly and attentive wait staff.
I took my brother and friend from Chicago there after going through the museum. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. The food was delicious as always and the service friendly and attentive. It is a gem!
Very disappointed. Brisket was riddled with lumps of fat. Inedible.
It was good; the waiter needed more training.
Cafe 43 never disappoints and it's always a treat to eat and enjoy good food & service!
Unique location at the Bush Museum. The food is great, and the waiter was very friendly. I wish it were open in the evenings, as well.
It wasn’t busy which gave the staff a little more time on their hands. It became intrusive with them hovering around and taking plates before we were really finished. Food was very good.
Best Corned Beef (Reuben) sandwich ever! Laura's favorite sandwich was also excellent
one of our favorite restaurants in dallas for lunch or brunch. bright happy décor, excellent menu and everything on the menu tastes sensational. Service is always excellent.
Had Sunday brunch, servers kept our water glasses full and food served at once for large party as well as hot. My Dallas daughter said food was nothing special- but everyone left full and happy.
Very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Perfect conclusion to our tour of the Bush Library. Food was delicious. Wait staff attentive but not obtrusive. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Great seevice. Great food. Great views. Great place to visit.
Spent Valentine's Day lunch at Cafe 43 and thoroughly enjoyed the leisure and special menu for the occasion. 1st the crab mushroom spinach fondue was so delightfully light and scrumptious with the brioche toast points. We tried each of the entrees and shared. The blend of flavors were so delicate and all so fresh. Topping it off with pecan banana ice cream and rich hot coffee. Complimented with Llano wines and Dallas Blonde beer. Our waitress , Marsha was the best and fun. We never felt rushed. Would recommend it for any occasion. Bon Appétit!
Enjoyed our dishes esp the cheesecake dessert. Our waiter was terrific.
Café 43 is only open for lunch/brunch but worth fitting this into your schedule during the week or on the weekends even if not visiting the George Bush Presidential Library. Service was great and so was the food.
We enjoyed the food and service. We were not rushed as we had lots to talk about.
'43s' service was impeccable and the food was over the top good. I had the smoked chicken salad and my cousin had the chicken schnitzel. Presentation of both was beautiful, portions sizable and absolutely delicious. First visit but will return soon.
