Attentive waiter and delicious food. We shared a yummy hummus appetizer and each had a bowl of the lentil tortilla soup. Great flavor and generous portion size. This is a great spot for an elegant lunch!
The ambiance and food were wonderful as always. I love the seasonal menus and the view of the grounds.
Very nice setting for lunch while visiting the museum. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and prompt.
Friendly and prompt service, good selection on the menu, enjoyed the Tortilla/Lentil soup.
We were visiting Dallas for a wedding and decided to take in the Bush Library. We received a confirmation email from the Library which also suggested Cafe 43, so we decided to give it a try. We three had the smoked chicken salad, the avocado toast, and the steak and eggs for lunch. All three entrees were tasty and the service was excellent. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will return on our next visit to Dallas.
We had out of town guests visiting from Maryland. They loved touring the library and Cafe 43 was perfect for lunch. They nicely accommodated our large group of 9. Food was fresh and delicious with generous portions.
Best kept secret in Dallas...Great for a business lunch or brunch with the family!
I've never been disappointed by the food or service at Café 43, and I say this as no particular supporter of the president of whose library and museum it is a part. They seem never to miss a beat in terms of quality, attention to detail, etc. Highly recommended.
Cafe 43 is a perfect restaurant for an after church dinner or a great place to celebrate an event or just having a great meal. The menu is extensive and quite reasonably priced. The pan fried chicken is unbelievable. Servers are quick and personable without being intrusive. A real gem.
Very pleasant atmosphere, service was excellent and all out dishes were delicious.
Thank you. Lovely experience and great food and service.
Not only a nice treat before or after visiting the library, it's also a destination restaurant. Terrific cuisine and service. Too bad they are only open for lunch.
A perfect place for an elegant meal near SMU and the Park Cities. The lentil tortilla soup was delicious, as was the maple bacon sandwich.
I love this spot as it is quite and the service and food are delicious. Overall a great spot if you want to have a good meal and conversation at the same place.
Always the best experience in the city. Perfect for family brunch and special occasions.
Out of town friends
Great place, great food, great service. Although this restaurant is associated with the George W. Bush Library and Museum, it could well be a stand-alone restaurant and do very well
What a treasure and the food was excellent and good value. Will return many times
Very nice restaurant with good food and service.
I had the shrimp and crab with spaghetti squash, served with a lemony butter sauce that was amazing. My friends ordered two different salads that looked amazing. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent brunch spot at SMU/ George Bush Museum.
The food is always great - such a treat after visiting the museum
We have enjoyed lunch at Cafe 43 on several occasions when we bring visiting guests to President Bush's Library/Museum. The food and service are always exceptional! I enjoyed the wood grilled burger, cooked perfectly to my specifications. My wife ordered the shrimp & crab spaghetti squash, which was excellent. And our guests loved their delicious turkey panini sandwiches. You get 4 thumbs-up from this party.
Enjoyed lunch with close friends prior to visiting the George W. Bush Library. Being adjacent to the Library made it a "no brainer" and very please with the quality of food, however, the menu could have been a litter more extensive. The only drawback to Cafe 43 would be if, you're not going to visit the Library, finding close by parking and the parking fees, which while reasonably okay, could make it costly if meeting others who have to arrive separately in their own vehicles.
Outstanding salmon salad! That being said, the whole party of 5 plus baby enjoyed their meals. I had to change our reservation number twice and received such courteous service and call-backs each time. It's always a treat to eat at Cafe 43, and the price is reasonable with outstanding food.
Only one thing, we did wish we could have had a cookie that didn't have nuts; our 7-year old is allergic, and he wasn't able to have his favorite dessert--how good the cookies looked, but they weren't for him.
The food, service, and the atmosphere were all excellent. I am looking forward to returning to try the brunch.
Came for a grad lunch. Every I was great. Made reservations and confirmed the people. But last minute added one other person when we got there. I understand that was my mistake, but the hostess gave me a really hard time for adding another person. The food and their service other than. That was amazing.
Our food was average; none of it seemed exceptional, and the pie crust on my husband’s pecan pie was so hard he had to use a knife to cut it. The service was very poor. Our waiter never returned to check on us, and he wasn’t overly friendly. I had to stop someone and request more water, which is all I was drinking. The food arrived after a rather long wait. The waiter brought my husband someone else’s receipt rather than the print out of our own meal, and we watched him going through wadded up receipts to find ours. Overall, a disappointing experience based upon high expectations.
All was great, but the wine list does not correspond to the excellence of the rest of Café 43, it needs a real upgrade, Hugh McClung MD
A perfect luncheon at Cafe 43 to celebrate our anniversary! The service, food, and ambiance were unmatched. Thank you for your attention to detail and for making us feel special! Can’t wait to come back.
Wonderful food and service!!!
The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. The views were nice but could be improved with landscaping. Enjoyable place for lunch.
Cafe 43 is one of my favorite places to have lunch in Dallas. It is tied to the Presidential Museum and makes a lovely place to dine either before or after the tour.
The restaurant is lovely. The food is excellent. The service is outstanding.
Awesome meal, great environment. Nice to be able to have a meal after visiting the GWB Library
Service is quick. Clean. Friendly staff. You get a lot of food for the price. We had the Ruben sandwich and the grilled cheese/brisket sandwich. It was enough to have shared.
Very enjoyable! Wish we could get the parking complimentary if we dine in restaurant
This was a perfect lunch prior to the museum. We all loved our dishes.
