Great food, amazing service and a great top off to the presidential library visit
Outstanding menu and the food was gourmet level delicious!! I would highly recommend stopping here for lunch!!
We picked all of Mrs. Bush's favorite foods and we're not disappointed. Service and ambiance were sophisticated. We had a beautiful and memorable brunch.
We took our parents to the George Bush Library/Museum for my Dad's 80th birthday. We celebrated at Cafe 43 and the food and service was wonderful. We would definitely go back. He really enjoyed the food and the museum.
Really glad we tried Cafe 43. The food was great! The drinks were great! Staff was very attentive. Everything was very clean and definitely added to our day at the library. We look forward to going back soon!!
Our lunch at Cafe 43 was a chance for us to enjoy a very nice meal while discussing what we had just seen inside the library. The noise level was low enough that we could talk across the table using only a normal voice level. The wait-staff monitored us and made sure we were doing well. We will be back.
Best place to entertain and dine out of town visitors.
I ate with my childhood friend visiting from Oklahoma City.
Celebrated my moms 90th birthday at cafe 43 and the experience was great. Service was excellent and bread pudding (with a candle on it) was worth every calorie. Thank you for a great experience!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas...it is bright and comfortable and the food and service are wonderful. I had the chicken with wild rice and squash, excellent!
A gem. Impeccable service, creative entrees, local ingredients and local craft beer selections.
Attentive staff, lovely setting and most delicious food. A real treat to enjoy a meal with a friend and be able to talk and hear one another. I always bring friends and relatives to Café 43.
Excellent service, quiet atmosphere and decent food. A bit pricey for what you get and French toast appeared to not be made fresh - was still frozen in the middle. Mozzarella in panini sandwich was rubbery. Heuvos rancheros very good.
Food is amazing!! Great service and plenty of menu options.
variety on the menu with suggestions from the waiter, great customer service
Family in town❣️
Outstanding meal and wonderful service.
I had been wanting to try Cafe 43 after hearing good things about it and it lived up to expectations - food and service were very good!
We have already recommend Cafe 43 to several friends! We had such a wonderful time while there. Isidro was our waiter and he was attentive, well mannered and knowledgeable. The ambiance of the space was wonderful and we felt like we were comfortably dining outside in the prairie without the heat and the bugs!
If it had been busier, we felt like the noise level would have been much louder with the high ceilings and hard surfaces. Not sure how to overcome that, as it's the interior architecture. I recommend going at quiet times, like 11:00 am Sunday.
We chose this restaurant due to the great reviews and because of the double bonus of seeing the George W. Bush Library museum. We had the spinach omelet which was prepared to perfection with a side of fruit and small salad. Just enough food and not too much. We spoke with nearby patrons who ordered sandwiches and loved their meals as well. Quality ingredients, prepared with care and photo worthy. The St. Germaine mimosa topped it off. Lovely.
We were visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Library and planned to eat at Cafe 43 because we had had such lovely experiences previously. They did not disappoint. We each got a different menu item and all were fresh, creative, and tasty. The service was prompt and excellent. We loved the view from the floor to ceiling windows. Our guests were very impressed.
It was a very enjoyable way to begin our visit to the Museum and Library. Service was superb! Everything was delicious, but the homemade ice cream was especially impressive.
The food was great, sandwhich and a burger and very reasonble too. The service was excellent and a great view of the gardens. Perfect before visiting the Presidental library but it would be nice by itself too.
We were celebrating my friend's 80th birthday . The food was delicious. It was a bit too noisy but the service by Bernard was awesome. He made my friend feel important and even sang Happy Birthday in a soft crooner voice. He was excellent
A fantastic restaurant for lunch. The food is amazing. The waitstaff are very professional and nice.
Lovely place for lunch. We enjoyed Laura Bush’s favorite sandwich, and the corn soup. The artwork and setting make this a nice venue.
Great place for lunch! I love taking out-of-town guests there after visiting the library! And my friend‘s daughter is starting SMU this fall, so another perfect time to entertain at lunch! Food and service wonderful!
We loved the atmosphere and cold temperatures in this hot August heat! Service was above and beyond excellent and the food was delicious. My husband had corn chowder soup with crab that he said was amazing! I had a dinner salad with their fabulous homemade balsamic vinaigrette which was outstanding. We both chose chicken enchiladas for our entree. The portion was huge and did not disappoint. Their refried black beans were also very delicious. Iced tea glasses were kept full. Can’t wait to go back!
Lovely ambiance and dining experience.
Excellent attentive service! We were seated right away. There is original art on display and even one of President Bush’s! You don't have to pay to park and just take the walkway to the Cafe. The food was delicious. We visited the gift shop, too, but did not have time for the library.
Bloody Mary was tasty and the chicken
enchiladas were amazing.
What a delight to eat at Cafe 43 for lunch. The atmosphere is quiet and beautiful. The service is outstanding and the food was delicious. There were six in my party and all of us ordered different entrees and desserts. None were disappointed. It is a treat to eat at this restaurant. We will definitely be back.
We had a salad and grilled chicken sandwich with fries and both were good, iced tea and service were excellent.
Eating at Cafe 43 is a special treat! The ambiance is wonderful for many different occasions. I feel "presidential" when I eat there.
My husband and I were disappointed in the quality of the food at this restaurant. It was billed as farm to table, upscale food. My husband enjoyed his Reuben corned beef sandwich, but the corned beef was simply packaged lunch meat. My lump crab salad came with a scoop of mayonnaise crab salad on the side of a small pile of mixed greens. It was ok, but tasted a bit fishy. Certainly not fresh. The pecan pie was tasteless, partially frozen, and the crust was tough and chewy. It was set on top of a strong bourbon sauce.
For the price and the advertised quality, this was a mediocre experience at best. The service was good, and we had a nice table next to the window. For your money, you could snack at the snack bar next to the courtyard, and eat somewhere else later.
A little loud for lunch conversation.
Good gluten free options
I love this restaurant and always include it as part of the day when visiting the Bush Library. Food is always fresh and delicious!
This is the fourth time I have dined at Cafe 43 and it did not disappoint! The food here is always delicious and the service is always magnificent.
Food was subpar. Had the Snitzel. Boring breaded chicken with boiled potatoes. Corn soup was good but a little spicy. Wine disappointing.
