As always, the food and service were excellent. The value you receive for your money is fantastic.
Everything was spectacular and we will definitely return soon. Sarah took great care of us!
Always reliable menu and helpful service. Bistro atmosphere.
Enjoyed our evening in this local gem. The menu is varied and the dishes well prepared. Our server was excellent-knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and attentive. A return visit soon, I hope...
Excellent food, friendly staff, wonderful ambiance and very well priced. My only wish is for more Cabernet wine selections. Love this place.
Day after Valentine’s Day. Uncomfortable seating. Great waitress. Food good. Atmosphere need work.
This was our first time to Cafe 1912 and we are so glad we checked it out. Service and food were great.
My husband and I and another couple went to Cafe 1912 for Valentine’s Day, and it was fantastic! Their scallops are probably the best in town. We will definitely be back.
Incredible neighborhood gem! Kicking myself that this was my first time here but I assure you, it won't be my last!
My wife and I had an amazing experience at Cafe 1912. The restaurant is a little on the smaller side and does not necessarily have the high end eye appeal of some other places. However the quiet and relaxed dining experience more than made up for it. The food by far better than most places I’ve eaten in Memphis. The Filet was cooked perfectly and ultra tender. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Had a delightful evening! Power went out and the staff handled it beautifully!! Staff were very attentative throughout our meal. Highly recommend!
Later reservation. Initially seated at a table at the kitchen pick up window. Interesting to watch the kitchen in action, but too noisy. It was a temporary place while we waited for our reservation table to turn. Moved to table when it cleared. The food never disappoints. The service just so so this time. He was friendly but was also visiting with customers at the bar. Waiter was also the bartender? Enjoyed our dinner and the ambiance of the place. Like being in a lively bistro in provincial France. One of my favorite places in Memphis. You can spend a lot of money but you don’t have to to have an interesting meal. The salad nicoise was excellent as was the crab cake appetizer. They have a very good wine list as well.
I use to go here for the Chicken Breast stuffed with Ham and cheese. Even though the waiter admitted it was there most popular dish the management refuses to put it back on the menu. My wife usually got the fish of the day. Saturdays fish of the day was 4 scallops for $40 - it wasn't shellfish of the day. The staff did not seem to like what they were doing, they seemed unhappy about something. I finally ended up with the Seafood crepe, there was too much of the overly thickened sauce which completely drowned out the crepe. I write this review not because I am angry with the restaurant but because I loved the 1912 I use to go to and something, I don't know what, has changed (typically with this kind of fall it is the new management, but I don't know if the management has changed). I'm not sure how I will know it is worth it to go back.
Mundane food and service.
Good values on wine list.
Overall, a bit disappointing.
Good food, well served.
Food was excellent Nice menu with good variety and a nice wine list. Service was very attentive
Always a great meal at Cafe 1912. Lovely small bistro.
Everything was outstanding! Reminiscent of dining in a Paris bistro!
Food was great as usual! Haven’t been in a couple of years. Better than I remember actually!
Sarah was very attentive and a pleasure. The food was outstanding. First time but certainly not the last!
Onion soup very good. Service very slow. Salmon is better at Amerigo’s. Veal loin too tough and overcooked.
This is one of our favorite places to eat. Great food, great bar, friendly staff in a nice quiet and friendly environment. High quality food at middle price pint. Would recommend to everyone
Great service and food.
We dine early as a family and it feels like dining at home with a personal chef. If done later it’s perfect for a romantic dinner and if catch a show it’s perfect for drinks and dessert. We recently discussed and now that we’ve tried almost every restaurant in area for three years we’ve decided Cafe 1912 will be our main go to.
Every bit of food was delicious...soup, steak, fish, veggies! And the wine was great too.
Great food and service
It was a celebration for my birthday and as for previous visits the food and service was exemplary. For a cold evening the ambience was perfectly warm and inviting.
The ravioli was much too sweet. The mussels and chicken were great!
Always a great meal.
Food amazing, service lacking substantially; felt waiter had too many customers rendering him unavailable for our small table of two. Had to ask three times for bread. It’s all
Always our favorite go to for a fun evening out or a quiet dinner for two. Great menu, wine list, and bar- never fails to make us happy
Our service was great thank you Sara without an H.
The kitchen is within the restaurant, which can be nice when the aeration is good. Here, the restaurant room smelled fried oil. What we saw from the kitchen, the walls, curtains, and floor were not very clean. The food was ok, but not great for the price. Vegetarian pasta and veal were very greasy, and the pasta were too cooked. The pork and its sauce were good. The desserts are ok for the price. Service was so so. I was done with my entree and the server brought me the dessert menu although all other people at my table were still eating. Nobody asked us if the food was good: I will have say no.
The hostess was excellent. The wait staff was not attentive, despite the slow night. Be warned, the main room had a bad draft from the front door and a lot of noise from the kitchen. The food was excellent. Ambient music would help elevate the atmosphere.
We had a table in the bar. We like that. The service can be a little slower because the bar tender is doing double duty, be we are ok with that. Food is always good.
Open kitchen revealed less than sanitary methods being used by cook staff. Eating their meal while cooking. Picking up food with involved hands. (To plate).
Wonderful food and lovely ambiance
Great food, great service. We spent a lovely evening celebrating our friend’s birthday. Thank you Cafe 1912 for a memorable evening.
The restaurant was not busy at all, yet our server was slow. We sat next to the kitchen and other staff persons were sitting/standing just 2 tables away and talking loudly with each other and with the kitchen staff without regard for us.
