This was quite a surprise! It was a very nice little place right on the main street, but you never heard any of the hubbub going on outside. Very well appointed, nice people, great meet at the door and We were ushered right in. There is very little downside on this, and I'm very happy that we ended up there on the second night of a 3 day weekend.
The restaurant is so beautiful and the wait staff is super friendly. Valentine's Day was obviously packing up the restaurant, but even so the atmosphere was nice.
Overall, very good.
It was a price fixe menu for Valentine’s Day.
The service was just “okay”. Meh.
But we’d return and I talked it up with some of my colleagues.
Excellent food - excellent service - excellent ambiance. Not much else to say.
Very appealing decor and nice menu featuring tapas and Spanish themed seafood. Good food, good service.
It was excellent
Very nice ambiance. Food decent and good service.
The tapas are out of this world! Warm and flavorful. We were visiting from out of town for Thanksgiving and decided to have the thanksgiving entree. It was not outstanding. I appreciate them catering to those that wanted a traditional dinner however I recommend they stick what they do best.
The rest of the dinner was outstanding including the cocktails.
Good food - roughly 1 hour to get main dish though. I think they had lost the order, sheer bad luck on our end probably dye to a special group event in the back, because they put the dessert on the house. All in all, a nice place with good food.
Maseena, we missed you. Everything was wonderful as usual.
Original combination of Italian and Spanish, leaning mostly to Spanish. Owner is Sicilian and "sharks" the room quietly to be sure every guest is happy and every detail is attended to. Staff works like a well oiled machine and are constantly helping everyone, even if you have a different waiter. Food choices are unique and different. Wine list limited but they had some European options off the list that made us happy. Only complaint is the affinity to Pecorino cheese as it's in everything. Even the Charcuterie was 3 or 4 different types of it and then again on our salads and mains! Definitely worth a visit.
The ambiance is very nice, great lighting with a hint of Moroccan, made it for a very comfortable evening. The food was excellent, and the service was great; we enjoyed our dinner.
We were eager to give Cadiz a try as we love Spanish and Italian cuisine. My husband and I both ordered paella. Food was lukewarm, the shellfish was tepid, the rice lacked any hint of saffron seasoning and was starchy. It appeared as if the paella was pre-prepared and then reheated. If food is freshly prepared it is steaming hot. Our dishes were not. We complained to our server and he supposedly spoke to the "chef." He assured us that the chef said it was freshly prepared, but we found it very hard to believe. The server said he would give us a dessert as "compensation." We refused as we were all ready turned off. In addition, no manager was around for us to speak to to complain. We shall never return to this very poor excuse of a restaurant. Our dining experience there was dismal. Next time we are in Santa Barbara, we shall go to our favorite Italian restaurant, which I am sorry we didn't this time around - Ca Dario, which is superb. Cadiz is a major fail!
Wonderful flavors from the Tapas, pot belly a must, to Paella.
For our first ever evening in Santa Barbara we selected Cadiz because the reviews were great and it is within walking distance of the condo we're renting. We loved everything! Fresh ingredients; perfectly prepared pasta dishes; terrific setting and ambience. Professional servers are a cut above.
Thanks for a great welcome to SB. Cadiz set a very high bar.
