The chefs’ clean and contemporary cooking style is matched by the restaurant’s sleek aesthetic, set with industrial-era accents and design elements, and earthy color tones. The kitchen view and 8-seat chef’s counter are open, which create a level of transparency and shared experience with guests. The chefs are excited not only to cook for their guests, but to also step into the dining room to meet and serve them. Many personal touches, including art installations and ceramic servingware made by friends and wooden tables made by the chefs are also incorporated throughout.

Warm welcoming and delicious. I will be dreaming about that duck. Thank you for the hospitality, we can’t wait to come back!
Phenomenal food in an elegant non-pretentious setting.
Cadence is an outstanding addition to the Philadelphia restaurant scene.
Two visits - the food was outstanding the first time, and even better on the second. They easily accommodated my gluten free mother. Love the ember roasted beets, and have enjoyed a wide variety of their first and second courses. Service is warm and accommodating, and it's a lively place for such a small space.
My wife and I went after we could not make it a previous reservation. Really outstanding dishes throughout the menu with a focus on what's fresh right now. Perfect portions for a four course meal.
Service was excellent and the food was innovative and delish. Not easy to get a Saturday reservation, but worth the wait.
Other than noise level, everything else about the experience was excellent.
The food at Cadence was absolutely spectacular. The taste and presentation were on point and the service was brilliantly executed. Nevertheless, the decor felt generic and the ambiance was nothing to write home about. If the restaurant were to up their game on the decor and overall feel of the experience, they would be unstoppable.
overall the experience was very good. Service was attentive and smooth. The dishes are well executed and flavorful. (being a chef for way too many years I ought to know)
The garlic scape dumplings were divine. High recommend the seasonal fare.
We had an amazing 4-course dinner at Cadence. Highly recommend!! The menu is carefully designed and there is something for everyone!! Dessert was also scrumptious.
Fantastic food and atmosphere! Was excited to try this neighborhood gem for with my husband and a friend visiting from London. Exceeded all of our high expectations. Loved the combination of the crab & sugar snap pea salad (with grilled squid, kohlrabi, corn custard), the maitake mushroom (with sweet corn succotash, chile) was bursting with flavor, the sword fish was the tenderest I have ever had, and they honey almond frozen nougat (with stone fruit, corn custard) was beyond delicious.
Excited to come back and try brunch!
Food was amazing!
The food and service are wonderful. The seating area for a group of 5 was ideal—very little noise from other guests could be heard. I loved the set menu and the price was great.
It’s been a long time since there’s been a great new BYO in Philly. cadence delivers! Highly recommended. Original and delicious without being overly fussy.
Fit for foodies - everything was unique and delicious - and I don't say this often! Lots of subtle flavors. Wonderful scallops, pork, soft shell crabs, swordfish, bread, tuna carpaccio. It's a smaller restaurant, but feels spacious. Appealing modern decor. No smells or smoke is emitted from the open kitchen. Great air conditioning on a hot summer day. Not too loud. Comfortable seating. The waitstaff members were relaxed efficient, and attentive. Will definitely return - I highly recommend Cadence!
We dined on 7-26.The front of the room was very accommodating to our party. We did the fixed price. Our apps.were one of a kind.2nd course was a soft shell cooked to perfection.Bavette, pork, and a new appreciation for sword fish, were the mains.Fabulous service, well executed. An adventure in dining.
The food is great and the service excellent. A little pricy but since it is BYO it evens out.
Cadence was an awesome meal. We sat at the chefs counter and interacted with the two cooks prepping apps and desserts. Overall, the meal was delicious and service was excellent. We had 5 dishes, and only 1 was average, the other 4 were dishes to go back for. Which we will.
Go here, you won’t be disappointed
Creative but still approachable. Outstanding meal.
Always good. We were well taken care, as usual. Andrew is exceptional!
Amazing and creative, locally sourced, quite ample dishes served in a simple and chic setting by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The prix fixe menu is a bargain at $60!
Just an amazing meal. So happy we chanced upon this wonderful Cadence.
Starters were flavorful - an interesting mix of ingredients. The heirloom tomato bowl was refreshing with a crunchy crumb crouton and the crab and pea shoot bowl reminiscent of deconstructed sushi. The smoked hen of the woods mushroom plate was delicious and creatively constructed. The mains, swordfish and pork were served warm rather than hot which was disappointing. Additionally the components did not achieve the flavor balance found in the preceding courses. The plum and nougat bowl dessert lacked sweetness and contained a bitter element that was not part of the menu description. One of the best components of the meal was the rye bread.....two slices, heavily charred, crispy crust with a soft crumb. It was well worth the required additional charge
Some outstanding dishes
Some good dishes
Some missed the mark
Our table tried everything on the menu
The shared duck entree was SO GOOD. Appetizers were also good, but not outstanding like the duck. Shaved rice milk ice dessert was somewhat tasteless except for the berries, which is why I'm going for 4 rather than 5 stars.
Perfect meal. Monkfish on the dish was a little bland but the rest of the dish popped and made up for it. Little pricey for the 60, 4 course when the dessert is passable. Great food, great service, great ambiance.
We loved it! Lovely interior with nice natural light. Convivial but not noisy. Amazing dinner, with particularly nice treats sent out by the kitchen. Dehydrated sunchoke cannoli does not sound as amazing as it tasted! Highly recommend.
Spectacular from start to finish. Food was creatively presented and incredibly flavorful. Do not miss the bison tartare and chicken dumplings. 4 course tasting menu for $60 is a great way to try a little of everything. Outstanding service from Nicholas. Highly recommend!
My husband and I both had the four course fixed price meal. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The Kampachi crudo and Beef Bavette were excellent. My husband had the monkfish which he said was very good. Desserts were also excellent. We will be back. I felt the four course meal was a bit much for me as the servings were fairly generous so I would probably not do that again. We had an early reservation at 6:15 and the room was not booked to capacity so the noise level was reasonable. By the time we left though the noise level was quite high and we had difficulty talking. The interior was simple but fresh and the seats at the counter were quite comfortable.
Enjoyed the meal and the wait staff was pleasant and engaging.
Would definitely recommend.
The noise level needs to be addressed.
Absolutely outstanding food and service. The Chef's Table was a real treat. World class meal.
Terrific, creative, delicious food. The big surprise for me was the bavette - it was meaty and full of flavor, while also being almost tender. The light buttermilk ranch sauce was also delicious.
Very warm and welcoming with excellent service and delicious food - start to finish! A sleek modern elegant yet understated space in an up and coming neighborhood of Philly. All servers were very charming and helpful. Truly special celebration of friendship and warmth on our friend’s birthday.
Without question some of the worst food I have ever had in Philly -- or anywhere.
If this place is just getting off the ground it should have been in development for another five years. No ideas, no execution -- simply awful.
Excellent, creative use of seasonal, thoughtfully sourced ingredients! Wait staff was welcoming and appropriately attentive, even in the midst of a brutally hot evening.
Great food and service. Well worth it.
I love, love, love Cadence. It is one of the most personable, inviting places to dine, and has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Philly. I would highly recommend the set meal on Monday’s, where you get three courses for $45. You’re able to enjoy yourself without getting overly full! The chefs are also right up front, with their sleeves rolled up and ready to go.
Loved the food and the excellent service.
