Si buscas comida italiana la pasta y pan focaccia es muy bueno pero el lugar es demasido ruidoso
Really good food, I was there with some friends from Sicily and they enjoyed so much that the day after they booked it again.. Unfortunately we could not speak much as the local is very noisy. The wine list is nice, a lot of Sicilian choices but most of them overpriced. I would certainly return.
Never disappoints. Order anything that appeals -- it will be delicious. The skillful servers and runners manage to navigate the very cramped room with skill, and water glasses are kept full. A solid, well-priced wine list, heavy with Sicilian varietals. Waitstaff will happily offer advice on the wine choices -- let them know your price point and preferences and they will steer you right.
Born and raised Italian, I just dined here with my Sicilian friend. Both picky eaters, we liked the starters and the wine, but were not impressed by the mains - my busiati were okay, not very flavorful, his cacio e pepe was disappointing.
Tried cassata for dessert: ricotta filling was good (imported from Palermo), but the mouthful with all layers was not great - we left it.
Service was good, price tag high for what we had.
I don’t think we’ll be back, but it was not a bad meal.
The Cacio e Pepe was amazing, one of the best dishes of pasta I've had. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves pasta. Atmosphere was also great, you sit very closely together, but overall still spacey.
Had such a nice time reuniting with college friends while visiting NYC with my bf. The food/ atmosphere was great and just what we were looking for. We all loved what we ordered. Pizzas were bigger than expected so would have ordered less but no complaints! Some of the pasta dishes we ordered were the cacio e Pepe, rigatoni al Norma, pesto shrimp dish etc. Totally fair prices! And loved how we were able to bring our own bottle of wine for a $25 corkage fee which worked out perfectly for our big group. Would 100% come back on my next trip out to NY!
Food, service and even the other patrons were amazing! This is our new go to for great Sicilian cuisine!
food was good. place was busy which is what every establishment would want. Disappointed with our server, wrong amount of drinks and items, did not pay attention to orders, she was very nice tho. will return.
Too loud. Cacio e pepe was okay. Tables are too close to each other.
I Am a regular at Cacio e Pepe. Very disappointing experience. Loud, tight, service not at all the same friendly faces at the other restaurant and worst of all, the Cacio e Pepe was not good. Pasta was cold and congealed, eggplant parm was just ok. Service lacked for sure. Extremely disappointing evening, I will not be returning. I strongly urge heading to Cacio e Pepe.
I love Cacio e Vino! this was my second time going for their apertivo night - on the first Tuesday of every month they have a delicious spread of bites and pizzas that you can access with purchase of a drinks. The pizzas are amazing and arancina was great too. The christmas lights give this place a cozy vibe.
table ready right away. not most friendly staff. just pointed to table across room. very tight space. understand it is Manhattan but hard to squeeze between other tables/seats to get to the table. server requested order several times in 10 minutes. then took 30 minutes after to get appetizers. food was prepared well and very tasty.
The food was really good but go early because the place is tiny and the tables are on top of each other so you won't want to be there when it's packed
Cacio e Vino has become a sentimental favorite. We love bringing friends and family that never tried it, so they understand why my husband and I love it so much. The food and wine list are fantastic. The staff is wonderful. Owner Giusto has a real gem of a restaurant.
As always, delicious food, good service, and fantastic value. There were several large parties the evening we dined, so lots of shouting and quite noisy overall. A risk pretty much anywhere, though. Highly recommended.
Amazing place, amazing food, amazing service.....everything was soooo delicious would recommend to anyone!
Delicious authentic Italian in a warm environment. Would definitely go back
The food was really good but one thing I cherish about a good, local, Italian restaurant is the tradition of taking the time to enjoy a good meal. Unfortunately, we were not afforded the time to do this. Minutes after being seated we were told that the manager was insisting we place our food order quickly as they had big parties coming in. This was clearly not to avoid us having to wait for our food, but was so they could rush us out and seat another party. The table next to us was similarly rushed and pushed to leave. We felt rushed throughout the whole meal to the point of it being farcical.
The food was very good and the service was good, although the server’s presentation did not seem to align with the style of the restaurant.
My parents are both from Sicily. Eating at Cacio e Vino is like being back home. Authentic, fantastic, and delicious, Sicilian food.
Fabulous. The food was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was wonderful. Loved everything about it. Can't wait to go back!
Made a reservation on a cold cold night for my friends and I. We get in, sit down, and immediately order a bottle of wine. After sitting there for a few mins we realized it wasn’t warming up inside the restaurant - asked the server to turn up the heat and she notifies us that the heat is broken. She never mentioned it when we came in. Real crap move if you ask me. We finished the bottle and went to Cacio e Pepe. I highly recommend that place.
Loved it. Delicious food. We had the eggplant
Appetizer and the caponata. And the ragú Della nonna and the spaghetti sepia nero AMAZING!!!!! Will be back!!!!!
This was our second visit to Cacio e Vino; the first being about 2 years ago. The food was very good then and was also very good on Saturday, 12/16/17, but the service was not and the noise level was also a negative. We got there at 9;45 after a show and it was still rather crowded, which was fine, but a couple large parties 10 or 12 women in one - were loud and appeared to have been drinking too much. That would have been OK, but while my appetizer came out relatively quickly, the tow pasta dishes my wife and I ordered took over 45 minutes and our waitress ignored us entirely. In fact, a waitress working other tables actually tried to help and when we finally asked for the check, she brought it and gave us a complimentary Tiramisu and said sorry about the wait. We are normally patient people but this was beyond reasonable for 2 simple dishes to make.
The food was excellent. The variety in selections was great. There was an excellent vibe. It is tight for a party of 3 or 4 as the tables are small. All that could be overcome but the service staff was rude and rushed us to pay the bill so they could turn the table.
Small place, so ready to be on top of each other. The food is good and the wine list has only options from Sciliy.
Crowded but food and service great. Gnocchi with gorgonzola delicious.
Great little restaurant with fantastic food. The cacio e pepe pasta was delicious!
The ambience was brilliant. Food and wine choice was great. We all had pasta for our main course and it was delicious. Service was very good too. Will definitely go back here and would highly recommend.
The pasta and pizzas are great, wine list is pretty good too! The Cacio e Pepe is an amazing stand out dish with great serving presentation (they toss it in a wheel of cheese in front of your table). It get's a bit noisey at night when it's crowded so if you're going there to have a conversation with someone try to get in when it's not too busy.
Great pleasant dinner before Public Theater. Go early for less noise because crowd builds by 7:30.
This place is very authentic! Reminds you of being in Rome not only because of the food, but the cozy atmosphere and staff. Would recommend!!
First time visiting this lovely authentic Sicilian restaurant! We will definitely be back! Reminded me of my grandma's cooking.
We found Casio e Vino by a friend's recommendation. What a great choice! The place is small an very cozy. They have a good wine list, ingredients imported from Italy as well as local. The highlights were Cacio e Pepe (pasta with cheese and pepper that is served from inside a huge wheel of cheese , pasta with a bread on top that puffs up looking like a mushroom (don't recall the name). Their pizza is amazing too, as well as canoli. Highly recommended
Nice selection of Sicilian dishes. I lived in Italy for two years, I can attest the flavors were quite authentic (arancina and pasta/rags with short rib).
It was good but not what I expected- recommended by friends. Would choose something else next time🤣
Food is amazing!
I always love be this place. Authentic Sicilian and dishes are amazing. Highly recommend. Low key place and food won’t disappoint
Great restaurant with fantastic food. Nice ambiance and friendly personnel. Definitely recommend this!
Had the Cacio e Pepe and it was good! Wish it had a little less pepper but still tasty nonetheless. Pizza was delicious. Ambiance was perfect.
