CACi Wood Fired Sicilian Grill
Yummy food and really nice people! We had appetizers, split 2 main dishes and a dessert - washed down with a great Nero d'Avola wine.
My two dining companions and I enjoyed Caci. Open high ceilings with great lighting. The servers were friendly and helpful. We started with the Mediterranean Board which was special because of the Freshly made Mozz and excellent Pecorino. The entre's were imaginative and tasty. The Arancini would make a better Starter dish than entre. My friend chose the Squid Ink Linguini with Seafood in Saffron Broth. My other friend had the Chef's Choice (Potato Gnocchi in Pancetta Cream Sauce) was also good. I'll have a difficult trime deciding which of these two to have on my next visit. Oh! And the Desserts were very nice! We tried them all. Homemade Cannoli was a favorite. I'd recommend Caci. And I will return.
Great food. WAY to loud. Need something on their walls to cut down on the echos.
Wonderful staff, good food. Noisy like we are finding with most places these days.
Great prices for beer and wine at happy hour (3-5) but otherwise, a bit expensive. We split a fabulous kale, barley chicken salad then 2 different pizzas (4 of us split the pizzas). We also had a delicious flourless chocolate cake.
I would say-we'll definitely go back for happy hour. Not sure if we'll go back for a full meal.
Great service and food! I'll be going again soon.
A bit pricey but overall good food...my friends and i enjoyed it
We were disappointed in the serving size if our entrees. Three small pieces of fish, about 2 bites each, 3 little pieces of potato, one piece of broccoli and a few roasted cherry tomatoes. Of the 3 entrees only the pasta one was substantial.
Wine by glass us a very small portion too, barely 4 oz.. overall not a good value here.
Even though it was a busy Saturday night, Sara our server was attentive and did a great job timing our food and answering all our questions. We can’t wait to go back. Food was really tasty and well priced. Thanks for bringing more dining options to Eagle.
Our new “go-to” place! Everyone enjoyed their dinners, great wine and beer selections, and fabulous service.
Incredible!! The service was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere is wonderful! We will definitely be back!
Amazing food and such good vibes! We will be back.
Service was great! Was greeted w/ the door being opened for us by hostess!
I am looking forward to seeing how CACi progresses. The "mix and match" options within the menu weren't totally obvious, but we are assuming the menu will evolve. The space is uncomfortably noisy even on a relatively quiet night. But, perhaps we are just the outliers there. I would definitely recommend it, and look forward to trying the pizza next time.
Pizza arrived cold. We sent it back for re-warming but that did nothing. The pasta dish was overpowered but the truffle oil poured all over the top of the dish. Tables were very crowded. The row of two tops along the wall were very close together making conversation uncomfortable. Noise level was high. Very cold environment. We will not be back. Sorry.
Was okay, probably wouldn’t return again. Food was mediocre and overpriced for what it was. Service not bad but not outstanding.
Over price for Sports bar atmosphere..very load.
Worst meal ever, from start to finish, no exaggeration. The Bruschetta appetizer had no flavor. My NY Steak(medium) was rare and all gristle & No seasoning(see photo) The Rapini was served in a ramekin and looked like hospital food? Super Salty.
My mother-in-laws spaghetti & meatball dinner....LOL. RAW meatballs and the "Nonna Sauce" UGH!!!!
My mom(Sicilian Italian)100% ordered Game Hen. mediocre and way overly salted. My wife ordered Scallops, OK but also overly salted. The presentation was just OK. Great wine list if you like Italian wines.
They did take two dinners off check and we did not asked them to.
There are plenty of great restaurants in Eagle/Boise area. This is not one of them. If you decide not to believe my post...good luck!
Very good food and great service. Can't wait for summer and they can open the doors and let the evening in,
Dinner service was excellent, very good food, and nice ambience. The scallops were good, but could have been cooked a little more, and were on the small side. Presentation was great. Very good wine selection as well. We will certainly be returning!
Our waitress was slammed but she did an amazing job of keeping her cool, her sense of humor and friendliness. My niece and I had a great dinner, everything was very tasty. My only complaint was there was only a chunk of monkfish in my seafood dish the size of a scallop. I wish there had been more. My niece’s short rib bolognese was incredible.
Food was fabulous, service awesome. Noise level is loud but fun!
Boise, in general, does not have a good food scene. Caci has set the bar higher than any restaurant I’ve been to in the state of Idaho. Incredibly well done.
Great wood fired veggies with my gnocchi and beef. Lime custard dessert was the best.
While Caci is an OK Italian restaurant with good price points, it's quite loud, and there are better choices for Italian food nearby. While service was friendly and knowledgable about the menu and the wine list, we noticed that everyone around us had been served bread and butter, and we had not. When we actually realized that, we were already well into our entrees and didn't really want it at that point, but would have liked it to go with our soup and salad. The soup, by the way, was actually quite good, with a hearty broth containing sausage, spinach and some chunks of potato. Roast game hen was tiny, maybe three or four bites worth, and not seasoned to my liking. A meat ball appetizer, which my wife ordered as her entree, was generous, with four medium-sized meat balls, they seemed to have an abundance of bread crumbs, and the sauce was a bit bland. We didn't try the pizza, which might be fine.
Great energy, including the friendly staff. The food surpassed expectation, I can't wait to try other items on the menu.
The pizza was very bland without much substance. I doubt I will be going back. The service was good.
Nice atmosphere. I had the Idahome pizza and it was very bland. The crust was good but definitely needs work on flavor profile.
Amazing service and food!! The short ribs are a family favorite as well as the spaghetti and meatballs. Great restaurant and glad to add it to the Eagle area. Excellent service with Tina, very knowledgeable and kind.
Although the food was very good, as well as the service, we were disappointed in the ambiance.
The noise level was quite distracting, due to the absence of even one piece of sound absorbing
material, except for the napkins. For me, trying to enjoy a nice dining experience out should not
include having a flat screen TV in my line of vision with opponents beating the heck out of each
other. If trying to appeal to several markets, both in entertainment and food fares, maybe keeping sports bar area and dining room area more separated would help justify spending $40 to $50 a person for
a nice dinner out.
Tina was AMAZING!! Incredible service. She brought the most perfect wines and the food was divine!
We were hoping this would have been a good restaurant. Unfortunately the meals were mediocre. Also surprised to hear the head chef already quit. Hopefully they’ll make it.
We were in from out of town and gave it a try. Food was good not great and it was pretty loud. Not bad might go again.
Everyone who works here obviously feel part of a family. They are friendly, welcoming and genuinely excited about the food! The food....beautiful and SO delicious!
Average at best food
Good but not exceptional food for us, but only open 3 weeks so still time to tweak and improve the menu.
Service and wine were both excellent.
Ambience is casual which is nice, but does get loud when full and seating is close together.
-Disappointed that we never received complimentary bread for our dining experience! Then to find out from our waitress at the end we she brought me check that apparently we have to ask...really?!
-Hostess sat us very quickly but I had to get up & track down our waitress.
-Decent food & good portion size but kinda pricey.
-They have a lighting issue (constant flickering) in the dining area that they are aware of and have not addressed for quite sometime.
We loved everything about the restaurant. Wine was amazing. Food was prepared very well.
We really enjoyed our dinner and it was a first time for us! LOVED the salad with fruit and cheese, and we had amazing dessert of doughnuts that were warm with chocolate sauce and great short ribs! Love having a new place in town to go to!
We're always thrilled when a new restaurant opens up and I was glad to be able to try it on Sunday night. However, we were very disappointed. Overall the service was ok, if not a bit hovering. But we were never brought menus (we joined friends who were seated so we used theirs). They were very quick to clear dishes from our table, even if we weren't through with the item. As for the food, it was very bland. The meatballs were undercooked and had no flavor. I ordered the squash ravioli. It wasn't hot when it was delivered (although other dishes were) and again, very flavorless. There aren't a lot of dining options in Eagle and we were looking forward to a new one. However, we'll just have to wait until another restaurant opens up in town.
