Enjoyed everything we tried which was a cross-section of the menu. Will definitely be back again.
Excellent experience ! Fabulous food and service in a beautiful space.
Great for wow experience
Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable! He checked on us often, which made is a wonderful experience:)
amazing great food and drinks. will be back
A pleasant, relaxed rooftop restaurant, we chose to eat outside where it was pleasant despite an 88-degree day. Our server was professional and knew the menu and wine list. Our choices ranged from the usual, sweet and sour whole grilled snapper, to the unusual -- duck ceviche, goat empanadas and a fish based gazpacho. We were very happy with our food and our entire experience.
I absolutely love Girl and the Goat and Duck Duck Goat and was very excited to try Cabra. We went for lunch. Food was good but very small portions. Menu was limited and hard to understand without help from wait staff. Did not like drinking out of plastic at all. I might go again if in area but would not make a special trip.
Excellent addition to the West Loop, with amazing food selection and enviable views. I submit the ranting as 4 stars to reserve a top rating for outstanding restaurants, but this eatery is well worth a diner's time and money to spend a great afternoon or evening in an inviting environment with delicious food. The duck app was excellent!!
We had a superb evening meal - adventurous tasty dishes all for sharing in an atmosphere which it was hard not to enjoy. Service was top notch and very personable. Only slight negative was that it was a bit darker than ideal but only where we were seated. Overall a great night!
It was an amazing experience.
Very nice rooftop Peruvian restaurant.
Food was excellent. View from the restaurant was beautiful.
The food, service and atmosphere were phenomenal! The waiter was very helpful when making the food selections. The food was very flavorful, and presented well. The city view was great. It was a very pleasant dining experience.
This is an exceptionally pretty restaurant with a really great vibe. The food was flavorful and our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed it. We had exceptional service and we would happily return and encourage others to do so.
The drinks are good but pricey. It is also dark (adds to the ambience, I know) but bring that phone flashlight so you can see!
We will definitely return.
LOVE the green paint!
The food was beautiful and great. Small portions to share with 4 people but everyone was able to get a taste or two of each plate. We ordered 11 plates and were feeling full at the end of dinner.
Great interpretation of Peruvian cuisine. The Hauncaina sauce could have been richer and abundant. The Salgado was delicious and the skirt steak entirely tender. The salchi Papa was spot on. I was concerned that it would be too spicy for my nine year old but she loved it. Pisco Sours were perfectly frothy. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to experience an exotic Peruvian culinary experience.
Unique brunch dishes- everything was delicious! Get the goat empanadas and “doughnut” dish. So good!
The food. Is. Incredible! My friends and I were in town visiting the city, so we tried a dish from almost each section to share. Dish after dish we were more and more amazed! Sebastian, our waiter, was very helpful and recommended some great dishes as well. Cocktails are exquisitely crafted and original. Definitely will recommend to all!
Excellent food and service, however, the music was too high. Impossible to keep a conversation. It was also very cold inside the restaurant.
Food and service was great! Would go again
Went here for an early dinner on a Saturday. We sat outside on the west patio, and it was absolutely lovely. The food is by and large incredibly good; a few dishes and drinks truly blew me away. Absolutely get the chicken skewers and swiss chard empanada. The service was also very good.
The service was extremely good as well, my only complaint is that there was a group at the table behind ours that was not shy at all about vaping around the other restaurant patrons and their table. I was pretty surprised that the restaurant staff had nothing to say to these people.
Food was great, ambiance was great. Service was a little lax, but not bad.
This was my second time in there. I made sure to order other stuff I missed the last time, like crab causa, drinks and dessert. I love alpaca my bag, the chorizo (skewered), and the classic ceviche. Tacu tacu, salchipapas, and the waffles were still good. Will definitely be a go-to for taking out of town guests to.
We had a bit of an issue with the hostess who didn’t want to give us a table by the window even though there were several open
Eventually she did but it wasn’t without resistance. Overall the food had great flavor- loved the carrots and the shrimp
Ceviche. Goat empanadas were just ok
Overall pricey, small portions but delicious
Exceptional as always. Flavors are amazing. Thank you Stephanie.
Cool atmosphere and good food and drinks, but definitely overpriced. They were out of the Peruvian beer that I ordered, and the server told me they were constantly out of stock because they get such a small quantity every month. If a Peruvian restaurant wants to have a Peruvian beer listed as one of the few options, they should be prepared...
Wonderful decor and views. Great place for a cocktail with a stunning view. The food was decent but nothing special, and overpriced.
Service was not that great. I always needed to waive our waiter down to get service.
While a beautiful restaurant, the service was quite poor and the team gave my table a lot of attitude. I have frequented Stephanie Izard's other restaurants and this is the first time I've had a poor experience when it comes to service. Even though the food was good, the service that accompanied it does not prove it's high price point.
The setting is absolutely beautiful! However, the menu is very limited and unfortunately the items are in Spanish? With no explanation. We were totally at a loss because of that, even though our waiter was helpful. My suggestion to Cabra would be to explain each item in English and offer more main entree choices.
The restaurant is lovely. Many of the plates are "very small plates" and takes awhile for drinks but we had a great time.
Cabra was unreal! The food was SO fresh and the flavors were so unique. They timed out all 10 of our plates so perfectly and we finished with the sweet potato donuts which were to die for! Will totally be back.
Excellent food here. Our server, Tricia? was very good and very informative about what to order. We enjoyed everything we had. The drinks however didn’t wow us as much. Would love to check out upcoming menus.
Cabra dinner is fantastic but the brunch is out of this world. Definitely the best brunch I've ever had. The dishes and flavors are extremely unique but not for the sake of being 'different'. Some of the must have dishes are the salchipapas, shrimp-y brunch-y tacu tacu and the sweet potato donut and chorizo dish (not sure of the name).
Fantastic time. Ran out of an empanada but was very nice about it. Gave us a couple drinks on the house for running out
We had the shrimp ceviche, pulpo, slow roasted pork shank and goat empanandas. This was the second time I've visited Cabra and the food did not disappoint. We loved the ambiance - it was vibrant and lively. The service however could use some work. Our server came by and didn't even bother introducing himself before quickly asking what we wanted to drink. We ordered a bottle of wine and he disappeared for 20 minutes before returning with the bottle.
The server was not very attentive as he did not check on us once the entire time during the meal and seemed bothered when one of us had to get his attention to ask for silverware. Not sure if they were just understaffed but the bus boys were more attentive than the server.
So the food was outstanding and imaginative. the service was horrible. Itt took 20 minutes to get someone to wait on us. Then another 20 minutes to get our drinks. That pattern followed all night. And the noise was so loud we couldn’t”t hear each other even tho we were sitting next to each other.
5 friends went out to celebrate 2 birthdays with brunch. The atmosphere was pleasant, our server was lovely and kind. She made great recommendations for the many plates. It was a dining wonderland - delicious and interesting food, fun drinks, and a good crowd that added to the "clubby", yet mellow ambience.
A very chic rooftop with delicious food. Chef Stephanie Izard was on point with her foods We’ve been to her other restaurants and love it and this one is a gem too!
Great food! The Octonomiyaki was amazing!
Been here before, food was great, service was not great compared to the 1st experience.
