Super creative tasting menu! We sat at the bar, which I’d highly recommend so you can watch them assembling the dishes. All of the staff were excited about the food and generous with their time. I got the additional grilled lobster course with lardo and lavender, and it was my favorite dish of the evening. Everything was made with craft, and it was truly an experience to savor over a few hours. The sommelier had a perfect selection for each course which complemented the food but brought its own nuances. Plus, she was able to make a summery mocktail that wasn’t on the bar menu. A must try if you’re in Montreal!

The food was amazing. The busboys offered a great service. The wine selection wasn’t to the level of the food. We waited a long time for our drinks and the service overall was inconsistent.

Serious chef, great experience, exciting wine pairing program of ‘great finds’. You can see the love and patio in every dish and every team member that we met . From the expertly crafted charcuterie board, to the final dessert! Will be back very soon.

I am visiting from out of town. I ate here two summers ago with my daughter and it was an inspired and memorable experience that I have talked a lot about since then. Last night I went with my wife. I had been greatly looking forward to it. The food was still good but not great. The service was sloppy and disappointing. Our wine pairings were late to the counter as our food sat in front of us. One of our courses came out of order with the wrong wine pairing. For the calibre of restaurant Cabaret L'enfer aspires to be the experience was lacklustre. When we were walking home afterward my wife asked me, "Did they not like us?" I really wish it had been better.

Awesome experience. Service was great as all were attentive but not overbearing. I have food allergies & they were great at accommodating. Good vibe for dates or small groups. I had the small off menu prefix late meal, but I was able to add certain courses. I sat at the chef's bar, and it was entertaining to watch them plate each dish.

I did the after hours tasting menu and it was amazing. The food was plated beautifully and tasted even better. My favourite food and wine pairing with the tiramisu-ish with a port, which I wouldn’t have done on my own, so I was so happy they picked it for me. Would absolutely go back!

Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Every bite of food was immaculate and complex in flavour but not showy or over-designed. Local product makes the menu very special, and the sommelier’s wine pairings were daring and out of this world. The chefs were very kind and took time to explain each dish and their thought process. This is not your average weekend meal, this is a special occasion dining experience but it was really spectacular.

Great food, great chef, great ambiance, great table. Classical and minimalist food that still delivers and speak volumes. The identity of not only the chef, but the whole team is on the plate and there is something magical about that.
