Nice business dinner. Was a little chilly on the atrium and a little loud. However, the service and food was excellent.
Horrible experience- was really excited to come here celebrating a bachelorette and the service was poor from the start. Table wasn’t ready when we arrived so we went to the bar. Bartender didn’t come over for 10 minutes and then had such an attitude when he did.
Food was terrible I’d say a 1 out of 10. Our group is from Boston where the food is amazing and we were excited for a great meal. Not the case.
Pork dumplings were not anything like described on the menu. The cornbread was described as bacon wrapped, there was no bacon flavor at all nor was it wrapped.
The roast chicken dish was extremely dry and flavorless.
The cabana was described as having a blue tooth connection. This was broken and they brought over a portable blue speaker to sit in the middle of the table after about 20 minutes of sitting there waiting for someone to come over and greet us.
The service was awful. We didn’t have a waitress for 20 minutes after sitting down.
Wouldn’t recommend at all.
We love Cabana and have been multiple times. Their atmosphere is wonderful and their food awesome. HOWEVER, this experience was terrible. We went Friday, April 13th. We sat at the bar for dinner and our bartender was awful. He was rude and condescending. He mocked us the entire dinner. He didn’t give us a drink menu so we had no idea what we were ordering. When it came to ordering food he told us we were being difficult because we asked about side options. He then did not attend to us after our first drink and we were there a total of two hours. He made us feel like we were a huge inconvenience. He was rude not only to us, but every other customer that came up to the bar to order a drink while waiting for a table. Some customers waited 10-20 minutes for him to even come over to ask their drink order. We even heard him call customers bit. When we asked for the check it took over 20 minutes to get . We used an open table gift card and he told us we were being difficult and making his job hard. He ruined our entire night out. We were really disappointed because our experience has always been great and we highly recommend the place. However, if we returned and he was there, we would walk right out.
Wonderful service and amazing food! The new chef has some excellent new choices and I look forward to seeing even more new menu items!
Loved the atmosphere, the Cabana, and our waitress was great!
This was our first visit but will not be our last. Staff was friendly and courteous. Service was very good; good wine list and food was excellent. The seared ahi tuna was perfectly prepared and the shrimp and salmon pasta will make you come back. The environment was quiet and relaxing.
I came across Cabana by chance. My GF and I were frequenting Hillsboro Village while in Nashville, and when looking for dinner, I found Cabana in a Nashville Guide. When we first arrived, it looked as if no one was there... place didn't even look open! However, once inside, there were plenty of other guests. The appetizers were out of this world (bison sliders and lobster mac n cheese). My smoked sweet tea half chicken was succulent! My GF has a pasta dish, which I nibbled on as well. A very quiet spot with a relatively small menu; I would probably return if I was in the area.
I hadn’t visited Cabana in months (maybe years), but the food was just as great as I remember. What wasn’t great was the number of loud bachelorette parties happening inside the restaurant at once while we were there. Guess how many. No, seriously, guess! Three sounds too loud, right? Four would be ridiculous!
THERE WERE SEVEN PARTIES BEING HELD INSIDE BY THE TIME WE LEFT!!! And don’t take this as a slight against the hostess or whoever is in charge of seating people; by the time you hit close to double digits in large parties in a restaurant at once, there is no choice but to have some spill over into the “regular” dining area.
Again, the food was GREAT! But I sure wish Cabana hadn’t made whatever list it is that has them as a pre-wedding dinner destination!
Wow! We were there for Mother’s Day, which we celebrate it March 21st in Lebanon. It was wonderful experience. Great food, service & prices. We will definitely recommend it & also be back.
Great girls night or date night
I asked for a high top cabana, I was put in the last one by the kitchen door staring at a garbage can. Not overly romantic as described online. Food was very flavorful and our server was great. Would maybe consider going back if sat at a different table.
In our neighborhood, Cabana is our go-to for "I Don't Want to Cook Tonight" meals and boy, does it never disappoint. Good food. Good staff. Good prices. It can be a bit loud from time to time, but that's the nature of the place and we wouldn't change a thing.
Excellent service and excellent food
My group went while we were in Nashville for a bachelorette weekend! Different than other restaurants and well worth it! Food and atmosphere were great!
Bad burger, stale bun. Louder than bars on Broadway.
Food was amazing! Service was impeccable! Great atmosphere! No complaints!
Dining area was cold and drafty. My date needed to wear a coat the entire time. This kept is from relaxing to potential.
My girlfriend and I went here for our date and we both agreed that it was a great place to go. We loved our food, our server was well accommodating, nice, and always asked us if we needed anything. The food came out quick, had quality and was delicious. As for the pricing, I’d say it was decent for what we paid for. We’d definitely return for more.
See my picture for a great view.
Restaurant is overdue for a refresh. Food and Service were subpar. Not sure how restaurant managed to get a recommendation as romantic restaurant in Tennessee - be careful of the articles you read online- lesson learned.
The food was very good but our waiter was very rude. I have a very light appetite and typical do not eat a full meal, so I just ordered one of the appetizers for my meal, and he acted very snotty about it. His face gave away his superiority complex, and he did not deserve the tip I left. Maybe he was just having a bad night, but he really ruined my experience at this restaurant I was so excited to try.
Don’t bother. Food was mediocre at best. Very overpriced for what you got. Really disappointing, but my fault for overlooking all the other reviews that said the same.
We have gone to this place several times (see previous reviews). They were usually visits in the early evening. relatively pleasant and without incident. On this occasion it was late on a Saturday (10 pm). There were several parties with loud drunk patrons. I was insulted in Spanish (a language in which I am entirely fluent) on my way out by a group of drunken young women. When I confronted their rudeness they pushed and shoved. Management came to defuse the situation and qualified their behavior to me as "a group having a good time". It is obvious that this restaurant caters to people who overindulge in alcoholic beverage intake, probably breaching the obligation in their bartender's and restaurant's alcohol licensees to refuse alcohol sales to the obviously inebriated. I am 73 years old and never had an experience like this in my entire life. Take this into consideration if you ever plan to visit this place.
Loved the atmosphere and the food was good!
The food was pretty good and the service was good too. Just an average place - nothing special. I thought the Cabana concept was cool but definitely for a larger group. We just had 4 in our group.
We have reviewed the place before. Pretty good if you are not looking for an exceptional dining experience but need a quick dinner and have no time to cook. Service is very attentive and it was quick this time, as opposed to a previous opportunity
We met friends at Cabana for restaurant week. We all chose off of the restaurant week menu. Food took forever to arrive. Salad was below average. Entree somewhat good, but scallops needed more of a sear. Others liked their entrees. Desserts were average, nothing to write home about. They did however allow us to stay and enjoy our friends and didn't rush us at all. I've been to Cabana before and will go again. I think on this night they were just a bit off.
The food was fair in quality. The scallops were well prepared but the risotto was very poor. Our table mates liked the lamp chops. The mussels were less than average due to the sauce and cold when they came to the table. The waiter told us he was new but could not keep the order straight in spite of checking with us multiple times. Not sure why he did not write it down. That would not have been such a problem if he had not checked with us non-stop all night to the point of interrupting our conversation annoyingly. We all loved the atmosphere. Sitting in a cabana was outstanding; very private and we were able to hear one another which is rare in many restaurants. I would go back here and try different menu items because I liked the atmosphere so well.
The food was tasty but over-priced. Our server was too pushy and didn’t space out appetizers and entrees so they arrived at almost the same time.
My wife and I went with another couple for a double date night. We ordered off of the restaurant week menu. She got the scallops which were more like a bag of frozen peas thrown on a plate with scallops. I got the pork belly which was extremely over cooked. Also my root veggies were cold. The other couple got the same dishes and their views were the same as ours. Service was very slow. I believe they were under staffed. Drinks and desert were the best part and they were just ok. I probably won’t be back unfortunately.
Best restaurant week menu of all the restaurants! The food was fabulous – every dish an extremely generous.
Great food and service was good. They have great deals on Wednesday which is girls’ night out. I enjoyed a three course meal for $30, which was delicious. I think it was a deal for Restaurant Week in Nashville. Cabanas are super cool too.
This is the third year in a row to eat at Cabana during Restaurant Week and while the others have been extremely good, this one was only average. The main negative was one of the first course was a wedge salad that we sent back as the couple of pieces of lettuce was old, poorly executed with minimal to no blue cheese, black Eyed peas, etc. The scallops over risotto was very good but had way too many canned green peas. Will go back, but they need to be aware of the short comings during this visit.
The food was really good and so were the drinks. It was all very reasonably prices and good portions. However, they were out of mint for drinks and chicken pot pie on a Saturday night. The waitress said it was due to a mess up when ordering, so hopefully they fix that issue. Other than that, the cabanas are awesome for a group with the privacy and picking your own music. Would definitely recommend because we had a good experience.
Was there for NYE dinner. Was able to make a reservation day of (a few hours before). Service was attentive and spot on. Food was great!
I came to Nashville for New Years Eve. It was recommended my group to have dinner here. The dishes were unique and tasty! The restaurant itself was very unique. The drinks are also great!
We ordered multiple excellent appetizers for the table that were all delicious, and the service was outstanding. A little disappointed that the filet that was ordered was unevenly cooked and not medium rare. Other than that, everyone's entree was fantastic.
My friends and I went for a Nee Years Eve dinner! Food Was was amazing & drinks were great! My friends enjoyed it as well. We had our own cabana. It was very private & could only here our music which was great.
Overall the place was cool but some food items were overpriced as well as the drinks
Really great pasta!!!! Loved the privacy. Our server was excellent
