Cabana Ratings and Reviews
The food was really good and so were the drinks. It was all very reasonably prices and good portions. However, they were out of mint for drinks and chicken pot pie on a Saturday night. The waitress said it was due to a mess up when ordering, so hopefully they fix that issue. Other than that, the cabanas are awesome for a group with the privacy and picking your own music. Would definitely recommend because we had a good experience.
We ordered multiple excellent appetizers for the table that were all delicious, and the service was outstanding. A little disappointed that the filet that was ordered was unevenly cooked and not medium rare. Other than that, everyone's entree was fantastic.
Wrote previous review. Simple fare but good price. Better experience this time (had waited too long for our food on the first occasion; they were much faster this time). Waiter was friendly and attentive. A definite place to go when one decides not to cook at home but needs a fast simple dinner
My experience at Cabana would have been good had not been the fact they are now ground zero for bachelorette parties. During my visit on a Saturday night, I counted more than 10 different parties during the couple of hours I was there. The noise level was ridiculously high when dueling parties tried to out cackle each other. The high ceilings and hard surfaces made the noise even more egregious. While the service was excellent, the mediocre food along with the insufferable cackling made for an evening I rather not repeat. Ever.
Our server was exceptional. We weren't impressed with the sangria, tasted liked like Hawaiian punch. And one of the dishes came out luke warm. But our server was great, took care of the luke warm dinner and brought us new drinks immediately. She handled everything and we above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We will be back because of her service.
Routine simple fare, fair quality, decent value, in a neighborhood casual ambience. Service was friendly but incredibly slow (20 minutes for our salads on an early evening when the restaurant was still empty). This is not a place for sybarites looking for a special experience. It is a place to go when one does not have the chance to prepare dinner at home. We will reserve it and recommend it only for those circumstances.
This is near where our condo is and it is withing walking distance, so I wanted to try it. The food was very good. Nothing fancy. I got the Chicken pot pie and it was delicious. My daughter go the meatloaf. She liked it, although it was a little different flavor from what you usually get from meatloaf. Waiter was nice and we didnt have to wait long. THe restaurant was not very crowded, since it was around 5 when we went.
Friend and I were meeting to catch up and we picked Cabana. Had not been in a very long time. To our surprise it was restaurant week, along with ladies night and just another regular delightful menu. Our waiter was beyond excellent. He was knowledgeable, helpful and stopped by the exact perfect amount of time. We decided on the 3-course dinner for restaurant week. Figure support the locally owned always. My friend and I shared each of the two appetizers, she had the mussels that that were in a broth, of shallots and chives, it was described as creamy, it was more brothy, but super tasty and she received alot more mussels then expected, perfect to share, then I had the truffle risotto bites, they were delicious, again perfect to share. I could eat those every day. For the main course she had the Crab stuffed sole, she said it had great flavor, I enjoyed the Braised Short Rib Wellington. To put it simply it was texture of bbq in a puffed pastry , that just doesn't do it justice, the flavor was amazing, it had cooked for a long time and soaked up the mushroom, thyme, onion flavors. Again, I could dine on that daily. Then the third course the desserts, perfect as long as it was chocolate. Enjoyed the desert with an additional glass of wine, because really what's better then chocolate and wine. All this to say, we are going to put Cabana on our regular rotation. I wish I knew our servers name, he definitely deserves a shoot out. He was great!!
It took us over an hour and a half to get our entrees once we ordered. Then they brought my sister the wrong entree - ironic, it was restaurant week in Nashville - she ordered one of the featured meals. Then the server told my sister it was the entree she ordered - she ordered beef short ribs - they brought a pork chop. What if she had a religious objection to pork or an allergy. When they finally admitted it was the wrong meal, they did offer to bring the right meal - right away. By then, we we were too frustrated to wait any longer.
