The food was fine, but we waited 20 minutes before anyone even came for a drink order, and then we’re brought a wine glass with lipstick on it. Several flies around the bar area as well.
Food was pretty good overall but the service was abysmal. A friend asked the server if they had any drink recommendations and she asked “did you read the menu?” They literally put in the absolute minimum effort possible.
Waiter was bad. Menu was much smaller than online.
Several problems with our visit. We made reservations, and we were seated all the way in the back where they had a benefit or something with live music going on in a separate room. The music was so loud that we could not hear each other talking. We asked the staff to close the door and they were very hesitant and reluctant.
We were a party of 5 and half of our group got glass cups and the other half got plastic cups which they REUSE for every refill. You would think with how expensive the menu is that they would be able to afford real glassware especially since they automatically add a 25% gratuity….
My poor sister also got a super BURNT flatbread and the flatbread was so sad for the price. The waitress AVOIDED the burnt flatbread. In front of the waitress we asked her if there was anything else we could buy her and the waitress Anna ignored and steamrolled over the topic. She also charged her for the flatbread that was barely touched. What kitchen thinks that it’s okay to serve a flatbread that is that burnt? We also ordered a charcuterie board that had almost no food on it and was $28… poor costumer service… okay food… overpriced.
Our server was so sweet and knew we were on a date night out so she made sure to take good care of us to have a nice time.
Unique vibe and I would come back again just to have a drink in the back bar/dining area and listen to the live music. The booths up front, while intimate, are kind of awkward because they are situated off the hallway where everyone coming in and out of the restaurant walks by. You do have access to your own personal speaker system, but you are also side-by-side with similar booths so you can imagine that it is a little like stereo wars. the food was just okay which is surprising given the recommendation. The filet was excellent but the consensus was the flatbreads are the flattest breads we’d ever seen. Again the place is unique and cool but not your place if you are strictly a foodie.
the Salmon was great and just enough to not get stuffed. My husband said the Pork Chop rocked!
This is the worst experience I have had at a Nashville restaurant in a very ling time. The flatbread was awful…the food & drink menu and wine list are 1/5 of what they used to be. This used to be one of my “go to” places. Has been a few years and it is CLEARLY not the same place it once was. So sad as this place held special memories.
Have been here several times when my daughter plays music for them. It's a very nice off broadway venue, food and drinks are usually very good. This time they were out of half the things we ordered due to shortages. My only complaint is it would be nice if they paid something to the musicians who play for free, even a drink would be nice. We had 13 people there eating and drinking
Nashville native here - and this is the first negative review I’ve ever done. Classic case of a restaurant in a good location not caring about customer experience. I had to get up twice to get drinks. We saw our server twice and the person that brought our food gave serious attitude when we simply asked for water. This same person passively aggressively brought us a cup full of olives when we asked for a few to accompany our martini (one with gin, one with vodka and they didn’t know which was which when they set them down, this also annoyed the person who brought our drinks) he was a tall dark man. I only say that in case this business wants to know who it was that acted immature and rude. Took 20 mins for drinks. Our apps took 20 mins and came out cold - the flat bread tasted like a party pizza. There was 5 of us and they included a 25% gratuity for doing nothing. Do not support this restaurant. Or do. I can’t tell you what to do, but you will absolutely be let down. DO NOT go here if you are celebrating and want to have a guaranteed good night. Absolutely dissatisfied. Will never go back, and strongly advice you don’t go in the first place.
Chicken was undercooked and had to be sent back. Tuna was supermarket grade and lacked flavor. Service was polite but slow. Prices do not match the quality.
I’ll be honest. I was nervous about dining here because of the reviews I had read. Everything was perfect. Sarah was incredibly attentive. The food came out so quickly. The music was enjoyable but not too loud. The whole experience was just flat out fun. So glad we went.
The food tasted great. However very overpriced based on the gross and seemingly unclean atmosphere. Very hard to get past that. Chef needs to close that place down and give place a very deep clean/rehab.
Weird. Just weird
Please share with us your feelings. Cabanatapsnashville@gmail.
Overpriced for some of the worst food any of us have eaten in a while. 25% gratuity added but you have to pour your own water into plastic cups.
You absolutely don't have to, however when its a large party of 5 or more which is stated on the menu which is why you had the 25%, we do OFFER water to those that wish to have some. A big problem is pouring and wasting water. So we try to conserve, we apologize it wasn't to your liking.
We had a great time at Cabana. The food was delicious, staff all really nice and music was wonderful.
We appreciate your review!!
Horrible wait over an hour for our meal. When we got up to leave they finally came with our food and it was cold. There’s also a huge communication issue within the staff and it left for a very bad impression & experience overall.
Food sucked. Drinks were okay. Service very slow.
Thank you very much for your time.
Good was great snd music good. The bill came and they charged us $3 more fir each entree!! When pointed out, the waitress said it was because they hit a new menu. BS. I told her to charge the price on their menus she gave us. She sent the manager out who said he took 40% off the entree, but the $10 he took off still was not adequate fir the $6 overcharge. Ruined what should have been a great evening. Will never go back.
Food and atmosphere was great. Service was poor. Waited at least 20 minutes before anyone came to table. Waited for drink refills too.
Service was horrible. Food was decent. We liked the beef pasty, shrimp and steak. Too many tables were seated for the few servers we saw. I felt bad for them being so overworked. Go across the street to E3, we had a much better time there!
Great place to listen to music, or sit outside and chat. They changed the menu a bit but everything we had was very good.
They served me a glass of wine with a bug in it. Took over an hour to get our food it was cold when we finally got it. Hostess was clueless and had no clue what she was doing.
The food and vibes of the restaurant were amazing. They were very accomodating, and we were seated in a beautiful cabana near the front of the restaurant. The only negative that I have is that the food did take about 2 hours from being seated to come out, just because they were super busy.
Love the new menu!
We made reservations and took an Uber to get here. We were looking for good food away from the touristy crowds. We were seated and never acknowledged by anyone for more than 20 minutes, in spite of servers walking past us repeatedly. I finally asked the hostess if we had a server. She sent someone over a few minutes later who took our drink order (he’d never heard of the drinks on their menu) and then he never returned. We sat nearly 40 minutes total and never even got a drink. They appeared to be well staffed and not terribly busy. Super frustrating but we left and spent another $30 to Uber elsewhere.
I decided to take my girlfriend out for date night. There was no host to seat us for our reservation. I had to ask the sound guy and guest bartender for assistance. Once we were seated by the hostess who claimed to be the assistant GM, we were astonished. Because, he was the guy we passed out front on the way in socializing and drinking. The hostess and so called assistant gm was very nasty when we inquired about service from the booth. His attitude and service was everything but white glove and hospitable. Definitely not what i am accustomed to when frequenting at Cabana. However management has changed since December so that could be it as well. Do better Cabana!
Went to our reservation Saturday morning at 11 to find the restaurant closed. Lights off, doors locked - tried calling multiple times with no answer. Pretty frustrating, especially since we had out of town guests and everywhere else was packed by that time.
I went to Cabana Taps this afternoon for brunch for the first time. The food was amazing. I was informed that they just hired a new kitchen staff, and have completely redone the menu. They've really done a great job with all of the changes that they have made. I had the pork pinchos and they were absolutely to die for. My wife had the 3 egg omelet, she said it was fantastic. We can't wait to come back and try more. The service was incredible. David and Kaili were so friendly!
Very impressed with dinner. Smoked wings were amazing. Excellent service. Loved being able to eat dinner and to go listen to quality live music. A++++++
I had amazing wings Nashville Hot and they tasted just like the official ones. Loved the amazing live music and private seating
First time in Nashville. It was great to do something different and go to a restaurant away from Broadway, but still have great live music of all genres! Service was good. Food was over priced but tasted good and the cocktails were amazing! It was fun to have our group of 7 in a private “cabana” near the stage-that was the best part since it’s so hard to find a place that takes reservations here.
Our service and food sucked. Never again! The menu is not descriptive at all.
Service is very sub-par. Over valued menu price for the subpar ambiance and service. Would not recommend. Too pretentious for what it is.
We were seated at our reservation time. We waited 25 minutes to place a drink order and no one ever came. We were given glasses of water and one had a fly floating in it.
Very nice atmosphere and menu. We had a very nice time with great service. Ana is a great waitress!
Terrible service averted food at best and that’s being nice. Had a confirmed reservation and when I checked in they said there was nothing available. Waitress was clueless…. I’ll never go back.
Thank you for your unfeigned review. We listen to all fans and detractors with equal weight. Our menu will be changing soon and we want to always wow our family with the best experience! I hope we won't let you down in the future.
I made a reservation and they had a music event going on. They did not let me know that we would be seated with the event at a communal table.
