Great service and reasonably priced happy hour. Meal was a bit expensive, but very good.
I've been to Ca'Momi several times and generally enjoy the food. The pizza's are wonderful, the small dishes and pasta also prepared well. My issue with this restaurant is mainly (2) Two Fold; # 1 its over the inflexibility or rigidity in accommodating their customers. They have a push back attitude when asked if some items can be prepared or presented in a different way. Its widely known they do not cut or slice their pizza's and you must request a knife or cutter to allow you to do that task. However when I requested our 90 second baked pizza be bake just a little longer and a tad extra crispy so the toppings would not slide into our laps from a mushy crust - I was look at as if that was blasphemous request. # 2 - their prices - and portions which are WAY to High given the conservative portion size and the fact many of the entrees are pasta. Hope they will have a few more affordable offering or perhaps half orders, etc.
If the chef’s philosophy is not to cut the pizza in the kitchen that’s fine....but A pizza cutter or a something other than a butter knife would be nice!
Very good. Pricey but worth it. Perfect for a small get together or date night.
Food was great. Service was average. Waitress went MIA for 15+ minutes multiple times.
Great authentic Italian food with excellent flatbread! Nice wine selection and lively atmosphere.
Outstanding restaurant with a varied and authentic menu, interesting decor set in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our visit here very much! So will you!
Brick Oven Pizza was good. They do not pre-slice the Pizza. When you cut it, the cheese slides off, leaving just the crust. Waiter was inattentive. Ordered second bottle of wine that never showed up and waiter never checked in again, so could do nothing about it. Eventually, enough time went by that it did not make sense to get the wine.
Really delicious appetizers— standouts were the beef tongue, sweetbreads.
Favorites entrees: lemon ricotta ravioli, ossobucco and duck with fig compote. I had the rigatoni with oxtail and it was too salty for my taste.
Beautiful environment— the lights were like stars everywhere.
Service was ok. Our waiter seemed a bit inexperienced and didn’t come around to refill water.
The food & service were great! I always bring out-of-town guests here since I know it will always be a fantastic experience. Our server was very sweet, and the manager Hillary was really fun to talk to when she checked in on us. Everyone made us feel like family despite it being a busy holiday weekend.
Thanks Especially liked the Chile oil instead of crushed red pepper.
The food is delicious! Love the roasted veggies and burrata, the greens and ricotta balls and the pizzas are always delicious.
This was quite disappointing. The service ranged from indifferent to bizarre. When I asked about two menu options, the waiter explained that one had no nutritional value, and I shouldn’t eat it because it was not healthy. That may have been true about the gnocchi, but it was hardly the question.
The food was unnecessarily fussy and not very good. With all the wonderful food in Napa Valley, I would steer clear of this place.
Fabulous food, fabulous service, their commitment to authentic Italian dishes is beyond compare!!! Bravissimo!!!
Excellent food, well worth the money spent. Excellent service very polite and kind and accommodating. Wonderful ambience with low lights nice tables, clean and comfortable. Later evening provides for a less concentrated crowd then during traditional dinner hours (we went at 8:45 and it was very pleasant). We will be back for sure!
Tortalini "soup" watery with no flavor. I am 73 and it is the only dish I have ever sent back at a restaurant.
Our first visit to this local favorite and definitely NOT our last. The menu was refreshingly innovative (being not at all innovative but rather traditional). I can't stop thinking about the wild mushroom lasagna. Next time we will order a bit differently to be able to share and try more items. Cocktails were very yummy, looking forward to the next seasons offerings.
Authentic Italian faire (this ain't Olive Garden). Whenever I have time for wine tasting in Napa or if I have friends in from out of town, I make it a point to finish off my wine tasting with Ca'Momi. My best friend from kindergarten flew out for a few days from St. Louis. We had a great meal of: pasta with braised organic bone-in oxtail, san marzano tomatoes, pine nuts, celery, organic raisins poached beef shin tendons and cartilage salad with organic carrot, celery, onion, parsley margherita pizza along with Ca'Momi's house wine. Absolutely delicious! The service was just as top notch as the food. You can see and feel the rhythm of the place and at the end of our meal, we couldn't stop talking about our experience we had there.
The food was great. However, it took forever to get waited on. We probably waited 15/20mins before anyone ever even noticed us. Honestly it took me finding someone to take our drink order to get a waitress to acknowledge us. Food was good though. Next time we will sit at the bar.
Excellent service from beginning to end. Friendly people from the hostess at the front door to the servers, chef and cooks to even the other patrons. Delicious dinner (different pizza options we are ate) to the the honey-lavender gelatos for dessert (yum).
Food was great! Service was a bit slow and ended up having a 2.5 hour dinner.
Hidden gem
Everything was exceptional!
Amazing food! The fried pizza was beyond awesome! Everything was just wonderful!
We had a great experience in this high energy restaurant. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. Great happy hour offerings and a very extensive main dining menu. Unfortunately the pizza was very underwhelming and watered down the overall experience. Highly recommend the oxtail rigatoni, fried beef tongue, and bianca salad.
A great place for dinner in Napa. Really enjoyed the food.
We came for a bachelorette party and was surprised to find out that we were placed in the private dining space. Too bad our waitress kinda forgot about us and left us unattended with no food or drinks for quite a while. Was really looking forward to trying this place out but the bad service totally killed the mood.
Family dining was poor service for 7. The service was slow considering we had children.
Great spot for a first date, on a cold night. Warm atmosphere and comfort food.
Thank you RedS! We hope that a warm and wonderful second date is coming soon. (And, we will so NOT be mad if you want to have a cocktail and cicchetti with us to kick off round two! ) With love in our eyes, Ca' Momi
This is a great place if you're looking for authentic yet classic and delicious Italian. The staff is friendly and helpful. The wine list is not extensive but quite to the point (and if you're looking for big name Napa Cab I suggest bring your own). The best way to experience the meal is to order a few things and share. Definitely a great option for downtown Napa!
Service was not great. Took a long tome to place order and receive drinks before meal. For the price not exceptional overall. My third tome to try the restaurant...do not think I will return.
Their pasta dishes are deliciously memorable. The rigatoni with oxtail is so flavorable and rich; the spaetzle with spec, gorgonzola and walnuts is in another stratosphere. And the fried pizza dough sticks with nutella and powdered sugar are a dessert lover's delight.
Thank you Kathyo for hanging out in the spaetzle stratosphere with us! We hope to see you again soon :)
“Obsessively” self-righteous. We had read the admonishment that because they are “obsessively authentic” and “out of respect for our traditions and grandmas” they decline substitutions or modifications. Well they take that to new lows. In the hundreds of amazing (and even not so amazing) restaurants in which I have had the privilege of eating, I’ve NEVER had a server flat out say “no, I can’t do that” to a request for some fresh Parmesan. And he LEANED into it by regurgitating the admonishment and the TRADEMARKED saying “heartcrafted...obsessively authentic” so ... nah. Who. Does. That? Even before that there were signs of trouble. We looked around and noticed other tables had brought their own wine! They’re so obsessively authentic, they have only two WEAK Italian reds because they want you to drink the wine THEY make. When in Rome right? So we tasted ... yuck. No soul in this wine program at all. But in all fairness, my husband’s sausage pasta with cream and sage was excellent. I ordered the veal osso buco with saffron risotto, which was very tasty; but so greasy, it needed some fresh parsley and Parmesan to cut that; but alas, despite the differences in all our palates - this place knows better. A supreme disappointment. I doubt grandma would have ever treated any guest so harshly.
Terrible service. The server took quite some time to address us, took even longer to take our drink order, and was not very engaged or kind. She didn’t check in with us throughout the meal. The food was mediocre. The bill took forever. 18% gratuity was added which was smart of the server as she deserved little but would have gotten 15%. This made us feel that we not only overpaid for the food, but overpaid for crappy service. 4 out of 6 of us were in hospitality for years and were trying to be fair - but it really was awful. We went last Christmas season and had a great experience. This year, not so much.
We’ve been here several times over the last couple of years. The people are friendly, efficient and professional and the food is always delicious. The pizza is awesome!
Authentic Italian restaurant. We were greeted and seated promptly upon arrival. Food, wine and service was great. For our main, we had veal shank with risotto and duck with fig purée. Both very tender and delicious; however, I think they could’ve put some veggie or potato on the side with the duck — my plate felt a little bare. My kids had cheese pizza and cheese ravioli— both very yummy. Their menu changes seasonally. I will definitely come back.
Great pizza! Better than some places in Italy. Gnocchi, spaetzle and rissoto osso buco were all excellent and the desserts were also great. Ca’Momi is the best Italian restaurant in the area. Lunch was much quieter than dinner. The waitress was equally outstanding. Was knowledgeable about the food and its origins and had definite preferences which she shared instead of the “everything is good” line. We are returning.
Food was phenomenal as were the bartender and staff
LOVE Ca Momi!!! Every dish is so fresh, flavorful and worth it!!
It was great, the staff was very attentive and the food was amazing.
