Ca' Dario Cucina Italiana
I have eaten at CA Dario in Goleta and Santa Varanasi numerous times. The last two visits to the Goleta location were gastronomic disappointments. Bland food. Caesar salad, blah. Fried Calamari, surprisingly tasteless (and no, I don't have Covid). Pizza was good, though.
Salad & bread was fine. But each of our pasta dishes was just simply awful, like soup consistency for lasagna & pasta/meat bolonguase. Very disappointing Bc everything else fell in place. Nice waitress, good service, ambience & low noise level. Maybe if pasta was fresh & sauces were improved….
Food is always wonderful.
It was very good food and service! We are definitely coming back! Thank you so much 😊
We sat outside on the back
Patio. Very nice!
We enjoyed our dinner and time
I think I lost an earring
Overall I was disappointed. Every year when we traverse to Santa Barbara I always make a few reservations at this restaurant and have had a very good experience. Last night the food just seems to have slipped. Mozzarella and tomato salad was bland Dash the mozzarella is lacking in flavor and the tomatoes are not ripe enough to have any flavor either and we’re rather hard. The two fish specials we tried were only fair - The salt with lemon sauce being the better of the two, but the tuna steak was way over cooked and we were not ask how we wanted it for. So I certainly just thought everybody wanted it well done. When we come in it on a disappointment on a couple of things there was politeness but no action.
We love all the Ca’Dario branches, but this one is our favorite. The patio is lovely, the food is great, our waitperson (Milena) is the best ever, . . . Such a winner!
Nice outdoor seating. Good, solid Italian food. Large portions.
the restaurant smelled amazing. It was quite busy. The meatballs and spaghetti was OK, as was the Caesar Salad. The cannolli was amazing.
Delicious, traditional food from Lake Como area - highly recommend!
We had a great evening, service and food were excellent!
Ca’ Dario is one of our favorite dinner spots! The food is AMAZING and the service is incredible!! Francesca is the best server and always anticipates the guest needs, just amazing!!
Very friendly service and fantastic food!
This was our first time dining at this location. The busperson Tommy was wonderful and very attentive. The waitress was not close to as attentive as Tommy was. Took a very long time to place the order, a long time to get a dessert menu, and an even longer time to pass on the dessert and get the bill to pay. The food was a toss up. Salad was good, but the spaghetti with meatballs was subpar. A big glob of overly sauced spaghetti surrounded by a half dozen or so rubbery meatballs. Lots of tomato paste could be tasted. But really not very good at all.
ALWAYS a wonderful experience. Our waitperson, Milena, was a DELIGHT! Food was as good as it always is, but that special care exhibited by Milena will bring us back many, many times.
Great service. A little frazzled when we got there, we were a party of 7, and another party of 7 had a reservation at the same exact time, and the table seaters seemed perplexed with where to seat each party. It all worked out. Fabulous food, and wide variety menu. My rack of lamb was superb, as was my wife’s Branzino. Brought our own wine, so no feedback there. The ‘curbSide appeal’ from the parking lot may be a bit a lacking, but inside is very nice. Not the cheapest place, but certainly worth the prices.
All in all, a very good place.
Food was great.
Waitress was even better.
Friendly, good service. But food could be better.
Our dining experience was outstanding to excellent in every respect.I highly recommend it to one and all.
Excellent food. The only thing I could say is near a busy street for outside dining
Great service. Fettuccine Alfredo is just right, not too creamy. Drinks are a little expensive here. If you want a nice wine with dinner I recommend bringing your own and paying the corkage fee.
Fabulous food, I highly recommend the Ravioli. This is our favorite restaurant. Service this time was just fair, though. Server was not friendly, we had to ask for our bill and wait awhile for it.
Kind staff. beautiful patio, mushroom Pizza, Stuffed pillows with brown sage butter, grlato@ nuff said!
The porcini mushroom pappardelle, veal chop, spicy sausage pizza and seafood risotto were all outstanding. Definitely will be back!!!
Excellent Italian specialties. The Veal Chop is to die for.
The seafood was particularly good as was the salad special with arugula, candied walnuts, mandarin oranges and goat cheese.
They make delectable pasta dishes
The food was delicious!! We loved the pasta with regular snd the pizza was great. The service was very gracious. The atmosphere is a bit strip mall but the white linen table cloths took it up a notch. Post covid, the return of candles snd flowers would enhance the ambiance. A very satisfying experience.
First time here as we were traveling. Food was excellent. I had the lamb chops and my wife had the linguini with clams (but asked to substitute shrimp for the clams) which they did without issue and with a great attitude.
Service was great, a little slow, but hey we need to slow down as if we were in Italy, right? We will definitely dine there again when we are in the area.
Not worth the price, mediocre food and we waited forever for our server to give us the check.
Carbonara pizza was not made correctly. They placed way overcooked, pan-fried eggs on top... Thought this was a legit Italian place.
Good Italian food is difficult to find in California outside of a few pockets in large urban areas. Ca’ Dario is one of the better ones in greater Santa Barbara but don’t expect the food to be the equal of a good Italian restaurant in Philly or NYC.
Service was excellent. The wine selection reasonable with some good local selections. The outside patio is a nice addition.
Excellent service - great meal!
Under-staffed, otherwise, good Italian restaurant. We would go back again!
What a friendly waitstaff! All the Ca'Dario branches are fun and offer fabulous Italian food, but the staff at this Goleta location has to take the blue ribbon for friendliness and professionalism, which we value so much!
We love Ca' Dario and always love going there.......
This is one of our favorite places. Been there 20 times or so. Fantastic service and terrific food!
This is one of the best restaurants in Goleta. Although the inside is more of a bar environment the outside do I g is very nice. There are plenty of heaters for the chill air. The service and food were quite enjoyable.
