Ca' Dario Cucina Italiana
This is one of the best restaurants in Goleta. Although the inside is more of a bar environment the outside do I g is very nice. There are plenty of heaters for the chill air. The service and food were quite enjoyable.
One the biggest components of our “happiness scale” is the friendliness of the staff. Our waitress, Milena, was just lovely! Friendly but professional and knowledgeable. Wine selection wonderful, food as delicious as always.
The entire experience at Ca'Dario was very pleasant. The back patio is amazingly quiet and seems far away from the busy street that it abuts.
The wait staff was attentive, but not intrusive and the gas heaters made it comfortable on a cool evening.
The food was served nicely and the wine was a good value.
All in all, a delightful dinner.
We four ladies had a lovely triple birthday party on the outdoor patio. The food was as usual, delicious and our server, Melania was helpful and unobtrusive, allowing us to enjoy conversation after a long quarantine due to the pandemic.
Caught a late dinner at Ca Dario in Goleta after our flight into SBA on a Sunday night. We love the downtown Santa Barbara Ca Dario, so thought we'd give the Goleta location a try. I've had a couple of lunches at this location in the past, and they were good. First, let me say that our waitress, Martina, was exceptional. Very friendly, and accommodating. She was so nice that despite a pretty poor food experience, we never complained to her. On to the food. The calamari and shrimp appetizer was dry and leathery ... almost like it had been cooked previously and then re-heated in the fryer. It was reallly bad. My Caesar (Romana) salad was plain and pretty much tasteless. I wanted the Lombata for my main course, but they had just run out, so I ordered the rack of lamb. The lamb was cooked reasonably (medium rare), but whatever they had marinated it in gave it an extremely bitter taste. My wife's main course, baby sole picatta, was okay ... a little mushy, but not too bad. Overall we were reallly hoping that this would be a good dinner option for us going forward, as the location is pretty convenient, but I doubt that we'll return. Again, kudos to Martina, who made the experience pleasant ... even though the food was sub-par.
So good to be back. Indoor dining was a pleasure. LOTS of room and great air flow made us feel very comfortable. Food and service was awesome as always.
Consistent super quality food. Eating outdoors w/heater made it even better. The place is just so dependable.
The chef makes accommodations every time I eat there. They’re the best!
The sitting in the patio area was very charming and the appetizers as well as main dishes we tried we very good. Enjoy visiting this restaurant.
Excellent service and quiet corner table for 5 family members for about 2 hours.
Amazing food and great service. I especially appreciated that when I told the server I have celiac disease they were able to accommodate a gluten free meal for me without issue. And free (gluten-filled) tiramisu for my wife’s birthday!
Delicious food,, lovely to sit outside on the patio
The food was incredible. Makes me never want to attempt pasta at home. The waiters were attentive and I loved the mellow soundtrack they were playing. It did get busy so a reservation will make your life easier!
We had not dined at this restaurant in over a year because of Covid. We were pleasantly surprised with the outdoor patio they had created where there use to be a narrow driveway. It's entirely enclosed and private with good ambiance. The food tasted authentically Italian. I particularly enjoyed the grilled white asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with a balsamic glaze. Unfortunately, the special seafood of the day, billed as a sauteed baby sole in a caper, lemon and butter sauce a la meuniere was bit over-salted but still quite delicious. The molten chocolate dessert was not up to par, but that did not stop us from enjoying it.
Ca Dario outside dining in back patio was great, heaters and great food
We frequent this restaurant often, and they never disappoint!
Outstanding food. Sole and pasta was great. Chef prepared something off menu for us which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this restaurant. Suggest you sit in the back patio vs out front if possible. We'll definitely recommend this to friends and go back again.
We came here for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time, our first restaurant out in many months. We sat outside on the back patio and it had very nice ambience and good spacing between tables. The food was great and we liked the suggested wines.
Nice and private and quiet outdoor patio. Toasty heaters! Excellent service and food!
Very good service and food! Great dinner!!
Food was not very good
Food and service excellent as always. Patio seating, nice atmosphere.
Over the top service five stars!!
Food taste amazing
Food was fabulous as always and great friendly attentive staff
Food was not what we expected
A family favorite - my husband's pick to celebrate his birthday. We have been ordering takeout all through Covid - it was nice to sit on the back patio with lights and heaters for our first time back in person. Excellent Italian food - great service always.
Michael was an amazing server and gave great suggestions. If it’s not on the menu, just ask...they may be able to whip it up for you!!!
Delicious food :)
Enjoyed the great Risotto. Note wine license only.
Alex is great always makes us feel like the charter customers we have been since the opening at Storke. Live this place.
It is definitely a hidden little nook of a restaurant. Way nicer inside! Beautiful patio out back. Marco took incredible care of us, absolutely wonderful service and food!
Well I wish I could tell you how the food tasted but we never got any. We had a 7:00pm reservation and arrived a few minutes early. One waitress in particular kept walking by us in a hurry and never even acknowledged we were standing there. When the hostess did come over she seated us outside and the busboy brought us water.
After about 20-25 minutes we asked a person helping the table next to us if she could find our server because we haven’t even seen one or placed a drink order. She went inside and talked to someone because we could see her point at our table. After another 10 minutes still no one came by. We asked the same person if we had a server and she apologized but really couldn’t help us.
So after 35 minutes of drinking nothing but water and being ignored we got up and left.
I will give the Manager some credit to at least come out to the parking lot and apologize for what happened. He wanted us to come back and he would take care of us. But after the poor service up to that point we didn’t feel like giving them another chance.
I was really looking forward to some good Italian food and wine but I unfortunately I can’t tell you how the food taste because we never got any.
But the sparkling water we ordered was good...
a jewel of a restaurant. the food is consistently delicious. the staff is friendly and quick to respond to requests. i highly recommend.
Located in a strip mall but had a really nice patio out the back so don't be put off. The service was great and very friendly.
Consistently good food and service. The specials are usually great especially the seafood.
Authentic Tuscan food with so much to chose from. Consistent and excellent service!
What a great spot. Sat on the back patio (outside only d/t COVID) for our anniversary. Service was great, apps, entrees were great as well. 1st time @ this restaurant and it's definitely a 'highly recommend'
Always a treat to visit ca Dario. The food is outstanding as is the service. A great value and one of the best Italian restaurants you will ever find.
