Ca' Dario Cucina Italiana
Great food and service! Never disappoints.
Fun dinner with another couple. Seated promptly even though we'd decided to switch from an outside seat per it being chilly. Food choices ranged from halibut to my (temporarily) restricted salad and veggie choices. All were good; the waiter offered the veggies beyond the menu and also secured a friend's special requests (no butter, no onions). We eat here fairly often, and are fans.
Quite nice if overpriced. Service on the brusque, hurried side. Food decent. Wine quite good.
This location brings another good option to Goleta. We ate out on the back patio and you could almost forget you are right on a busy intersection. When Target comes, this will make a great shopping lunch spot, right across the parking lot. I had a really good capellini.
This is going to be our “go-to” restaurant in Goleta. Everything about it was above average- food, service, vibes. So pleased.
Ordered: Salmon Carpacio - salmon not identified as smoked so not really carpacio
Linguine Bolognese - hardly any sauce & not a good combo w/spinach pasta
Spagetti w/clams - believe clams were not fresh
We have always enjoyed our dinners at Ca'Dario on Victoria so recommended it to our Goleta friends.
They ordered the Bolognese Pasta & left 3/4 on their plates & did not ask to take it home - guess it was
The food here is absolutely delicious!
This was our first time here and we could not have had a better experience. Everyone at the restaurant was so friendly and accommodating. We were a party of 7 celebrating 2 birthdays. We were offered seating inside, outside or in a small private room. So lovely to be given a choice. Francesca, Marco, Debora and all of the staff made sure we were well taken care of.. The food and the service were excellent. We will be back again. Thank you!
I treated a friend to dinner for her birthday. My friend said she should have been given a free dessert for her birthday. The fact that we were celebrating her birthday was known, my friend even mentioned this to the waiter and was told "no".
A wonderful meal. Extremely enjoyable.
Food was great as expected. Service was superb. Marco runs a good operation.
My new favorite Italian in Goleta, I had the best gnocchi and service that I’ve ever had. All of the wait staff and kitchen were incredibly friendly. The environment itself was fancy without being pretentious, and the open kitchen was a cool feature. I’m very much looking forward to my next visit!
Excellent food and service. So happy to have a gourmet restaurant in Goleta.
Delish food. Lamb chops to die for and great pasta. Waitress was fantastic and helped us navigate the menu and wine list. She’s Italian and really knows the food. Wonderful place for a special occasion or to enjoy authentic Italian food. Highly recommend!
Loved the restaurant and both our food and our server was amazing! The individualized service is wonderful.
Overall good. Service was great!! Food was a bit pricey and just ok.
This is a satellite location (one of three) for the main restaurant. The food is fantastic! I was sad that it wasn't more crowded. Service was slow because they are being mindful about overstaffing (I would guess).
We were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel in Goleta and found this sister restaurant to the Ca'Dario in Santa Barbara proper. We had a wonderful evening. The service and food were excellent.
Loved our server Francesca! She was attentive and personable.
Lovely service. Consistently delicious food in generous portions. Nice ambiance.
Very good service and food better than average. Only complaint is that it was a little pricey for what we ordered.
Really needs help with the service . It does not equal the meal, which was excellent.
I understand they are on a list to get a liquor license soon, which we will enjoy.
We live in Goleta and eat here often, probably every other weekend. We travel to Italy occasionally and this food is authentic! and just as delicious, always served at the right temperature and attractively presented. I have a couple of food idiosyncrasies (no spicy, no pepper) and they always comply and never accidentally spice up my food. We used to go downtown Santa Barbara to eat at their other restaurant, but now we could, if we wanted to, walk to this one.
The brown butter sage ravioli was delicious! 4 of us ordered it!!
I have come to expect much better at this restaurant. Things were "off" this night: the waitress was stressed by an on-going disagreement with another staffer and the entrees were just O.K. My pappardelle was too sticky and lacked any flavor, subtle or otherwise.
The original Ca’Dario is great, we go there often...perhaps this location just needs some time to get their act together but the service was awful and staff was very unorganized. Food was also not as good as their original location.
Great place to host a pre-grad dinner for out of towners. Excellent food (even my wife who is hard to please with Italian food loved her risotto) and service especially considering the place was packed due to graduation weekend and Father's Day Sunday.
the special was amazing. marco, the server, was great. felt like a real family owned restuarant of real italians
So great to have this level of quality and value in Goleta!
I used to go to the downtown restaurant but it was so noisy so decided to try this site. Dubra, our waitress from Serbia, was excellent. We decided to try the rack of lamb. I’ve gotten it downtown before and usually good but the last time was so so. I decided to try anyway and it was unbelievably tender, tasty, well seasoned, the best I have ever had. Even had dessert, surprisingly, and everything from the moment we walked in from wine to dessert, was beyond my expectations and I do not say that lightly.
Love the place and the food but especially the wait staff. They do an exceptional job and make each visit special.
It was my daughters birthday and she wanted lamb. Ca Dario did not disappoint. In fact, everyone was very happy with their meal. I had the chicken in a clay pot and it was excellent. Service was great as well. They did not give her a free dessert like a lot of restaurants. Which was fine because I had cake for her at home.
We love Marco and Alex!
They are great waiters, professional and always know what we will like.:>
Dario's cuisine is one of our favorites. We have been regulars at the main restaurant in Santa Barbara for 21 yrs. Now we have one even closer to home, even better... So good!!
Great food. Hope to be back often and even try the additional locations.
Overall we had a lovely dinner at Ca'dario in Goleta. The pappardelle with mushrooms and pancetta was a beautiful thing. The sauce was rich and had layers of flavor. The only thing that would have made this better would be if their pasta was fresh. This is a major complaint from me about most of the Italian restaurants in Santa Barbara and Goleta . Their food is consistently very good . Pizza is often creative and always well done with a nice wood fired crust. The chocolate mousse was delicious, but it was a mousse cake or pie, not a traditional mousse. Service is great, but they lost a star when I had to ask twice for butter and it finally arrived after our entrees had been delivered. This will continue to be one of the best restaurN69
Our server, a lovely woman from Eastern Europe made our meal more enjoyable as she was very familiar with the menu. We tried the wine of the day, a delicious Hahn SGM. The atmosphere was very nice. This seems like a place that would be a favorite if we lived closer!
Very good Italian restaurant. The food and service were excellent!
The food and service at Ca' Dario is excellent. We have eaten there numerous times at both locations in Santa Barbara and Goleta. The Goleta restaurant is a bit quieter, but the food is great at both.
