Ca' Dario Cucina Italiana
The original Ca’Dario is great, we go there often...perhaps this location just needs some time to get their act together but the service was awful and staff was very unorganized. Food was also not as good as their original location.
Great place to host a pre-grad dinner for out of towners. Excellent food (even my wife who is hard to please with Italian food loved her risotto) and service especially considering the place was packed due to graduation weekend and Father's Day Sunday.
the special was amazing. marco, the server, was great. felt like a real family owned restuarant of real italians
So great to have this level of quality and value in Goleta!
I used to go to the downtown restaurant but it was so noisy so decided to try this site. Dubra, our waitress from Serbia, was excellent. We decided to try the rack of lamb. I’ve gotten it downtown before and usually good but the last time was so so. I decided to try anyway and it was unbelievably tender, tasty, well seasoned, the best I have ever had. Even had dessert, surprisingly, and everything from the moment we walked in from wine to dessert, was beyond my expectations and I do not say that lightly.
Love the place and the food but especially the wait staff. They do an exceptional job and make each visit special.
It was my daughters birthday and she wanted lamb. Ca Dario did not disappoint. In fact, everyone was very happy with their meal. I had the chicken in a clay pot and it was excellent. Service was great as well. They did not give her a free dessert like a lot of restaurants. Which was fine because I had cake for her at home.
We love Marco and Alex!
They are great waiters, professional and always know what we will like.:>
Dario's cuisine is one of our favorites. We have been regulars at the main restaurant in Santa Barbara for 21 yrs. Now we have one even closer to home, even better... So good!!
Great food. Hope to be back often and even try the additional locations.
Overall we had a lovely dinner at Ca'dario in Goleta. The pappardelle with mushrooms and pancetta was a beautiful thing. The sauce was rich and had layers of flavor. The only thing that would have made this better would be if their pasta was fresh. This is a major complaint from me about most of the Italian restaurants in Santa Barbara and Goleta . Their food is consistently very good . Pizza is often creative and always well done with a nice wood fired crust. The chocolate mousse was delicious, but it was a mousse cake or pie, not a traditional mousse. Service is great, but they lost a star when I had to ask twice for butter and it finally arrived after our entrees had been delivered. This will continue to be one of the best restaurN69
Our server, a lovely woman from Eastern Europe made our meal more enjoyable as she was very familiar with the menu. We tried the wine of the day, a delicious Hahn SGM. The atmosphere was very nice. This seems like a place that would be a favorite if we lived closer!
Very good Italian restaurant. The food and service were excellent!
The food and service at Ca' Dario is excellent. We have eaten there numerous times at both locations in Santa Barbara and Goleta. The Goleta restaurant is a bit quieter, but the food is great at both.
The food was great, but the waitress who served us was absolutely stellar.
Excellent food. Service was fantastic. Staff was very attentive.
Visiting for business and met a friend for dinner. We shared a few starters and had the lamb chops. Everything was delicious and very authentic. Our server Francesca was lovely and entire experience delightful.
Great place for meeting out-of-town family for a great meal.
Consiistanly great. Food is best trattoria meals we have had outside of Itsly
Very good service and food. Lots of local and Italian wines on the wine list.
Food very good. Raviolis came swimming in too much butter. Once removed Davis were yummy. Had shell fish in saffron tomatoe sauce delicious Had to ask for proper fork for shellfish and bowl for empty shells and more bread.
The restaurant needs more servers. Had to wait for everything....long wait
We had a bday party, the restaurant was kind and accommodated us in a nice private area in the bar. The food was good, but they did not dedicate a server to the groups and service and food delivery was convoluted. From first to last main maincourse delivery was 45 minutes! Most were done eating when the bday boy got his food. Overall attention to service - outside of the excellent service by the buss boy (he saved a worse rating), was horrible with somewhat of an attitude by our main server. They did comp the late dinner, not enough. If a large party, insist on main dining room.
Food and service excellent. It gets warm and a little noisy, but nice to have this little gem in Goleta
It was super yummy when it first opened. It hasn't been open that long and the quality of the food and the portions have gone down. I have eaten there many times but probably won't again. Such a shame.
very good Italian food, like downtown, not too expensive. noise level is significantly less than downtown, even on a Thursday night when the place was close to full.
Been going here since they opened. Love the place. So glad they decided to open a restaurant in Goleta. Service staff is the best.
Food was good, our waiter was pleasant. The experience was dampened when the hostess gave us attitude about the table. It was 5:30 PM and the restaurant was empty (only two other patrons were dining at that time). We had mentioned the table was cramped for 5 and that we'd prefer a different table but she said, "well this one is set for 5" and walked away with an eye roll. We almost walked out. You're probably better off making the drive to their other location in Santa Barbara.
A bit pricey for lunch, but the food, service and atmosphe were great
Excellent food & service, especially from Marco.
Exceptionally good, authentic Italian cooking. Reasonably priced, nice atmosphere, very attentive wait-staff. A delightful surprise in little Goleta.
Love Ca' Dario in Goleta--so wonderful that better restaurants are popping up there. The staff are (excuse the unprofessional term!) nothing short of adorable--attentive, friendly, competent, never intrusive, but always very kind. Thank God for the gluten-free option, I wish there were more. The salads could be dressed more generously. Had a beautiful mushroom soup there; my friends love the raviolis terrific bolognese. Small but good wine selection.
Food was yummy. Very busy for a Monday nite. Friendly and solicitous staff. Only negative comment is I mentioned to hostess that it was my brother’s Bday but I guess that message did not get to wait staff. Would have been nice if a small piece of cake with candle had been brought out. Thanks,
It was our first time to the Goleta location. The food was just as good as the downtown restaurant. The service was great, and there is much more room here. Will definitely be back soon.
We love Ca'Dario because of their great pasta and pizzas. We are vegetarian so we have a limited options only but still love what we get. Their service is great and we love one of their servers Marco who is jolly and friendly and courteous and warm. All of their staff is very nice and for weekends a reservation is recommended.
The wait was a bit even with our reservation but the food and service was great. Highly recommended
Great food , great guys as waiters! I love the pizza there and the pasta dishes , the fish and the desserts! Lovely for a date, business or casual. We go back all the time
Everything tasted great.
The back room is nice for a group, but air is stuffy (I’ve sat there twice, same issue)
Took awhile to get our drinks, but after that the service was pleasant.
