Birthday celebration. Oysters burgers and salmon all really delicious. Friendly attentive server. Fun atmosphere. Will definitely be back
Celebrating a special birthday and the Sat us in the bar next to servers station. Not a great atmosphere. Over priced for the experience.
Charlton was an amazing server! The food was amazing and we will be returning soon!
It was a goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood dinner.
Server was excellent. Food was cooked perfectly! Atmosphere lovely.
Our first time here, although we are huge fans of H&F Burger and cannot wait for Holeman and Finch Public house at Colony Square to open. We elected to go on a Saturday brunch after all the World Series madness had settled. C. Ellet's is Chef Linton Hopkins' top-end steak house in the Battery at Truist Park. Chef Hopkins, in addition to being a great cook is a master of sourcing products. What they don't make themselves at C. Ellet's they get the very best from local GA purveyors. Oysters were sparkling fresh and served with house-made cocktail sauce and warm (hooray!) double buttered baked saltines. The crackers were worth the freight on their own. We had two each of four different varieties of oysters. There were twelve varieties on the menu in total, so you can really explore. Our server, Kareena knew every one of them and described them perfectly and simply as to brineyness, salinity, texture and size. We also had a Po Boy with perfectly plump and crisp GA shrimp, remoulade and house-made bread and butter pickles. We also shared an Eggs Benedict "Oscar" with crabmeat to compliment eggs, ham and perfect textured, lemony Hollandaise. A slice of feathery light cheesecake and a couple of Cappucino topped us off for the afternoon. I would recommend reservations for the Jazz Brunch as the place was full and then some by the time we finished our 12:30 reso.
Thanks C. Ellet's for an excellent start to our Holiday Season!
We had a great evening. Service was top notch and the food was outstanding. Would highly recommend.
Our first time dining at C. Ellet's Steakhouse was definitely memorable. We arrived early for our reservation but since there was space available, we were seated immediately. Mattie was very knowledgeable about the menu and took very good care of us throughout the evening. Other than the sound level, which is quite loud, the only negative part of our experience was the surf part of my wife's surf & turf dinner. Her filet was cooked perfectly but the lobster was way over done and tough. Definitely not worth the $24 up-charge. Everything else, from the cheese board appetizer through the key lime pie was excellent.
We will absolutely return for another visit.
We dined here for my birthday dinner, which I indicated on OpenTable. We were seated in a back room clearly meant for private parties. We asked if we could move and were told no, but were told the room would be full within 15 minutes…only 1 other couple was seated while we were there. It was beyond awkward, everything about it was off. It was dead silent with only 1 other table in there for the majority of our time. There was a TV behind us with a game on which was distracting. The food itself was fine, I wouldn’t say it was remarkable. Broccolini was not good, fingerling potatoes were great, steak was fine. Our server was excellent, which was the only redeeming part of the meal. Disappointed by the experience for sure, especially considering how much money we spent.
The hostess Ashlyn and the servers are all wonderful but the atmosphere is just not the same without the former GM Andrew. We would always see Andrew stopping by tables, greeting guests, laughing. We did see the new manager in passing but he did not appear to be greeting guests, at least he certainly didn’t come by our table. We are regulars who come a few times per month for about 4+ years now. I realize it’s off season, but the restaurant seemed so quiet and somewhat empty. Additionally, the food seemed not up to its usual quality. The mac and cheese was runny, oysters weren’t shucked properly with bits of shell in the oyster, etc. Not sure if we’ll continue to patronize C Ellet’s so regularly based on the latest experience.
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing jazz music, overall amazing!
This is my second or third time coming and was the worst experience yet. When we walked in no one was at the front desk to greet us; we stood there for about 5 mins and waited while the bartenders looked at us and a few servers passed by and looked as well. Eventually the hostess came up and didn’t apologize for having us waiting and took us to our table. Sat for another maybe 10 mins before a waiter came to us and he did apologize for the wait and then his service was pretty good. It seemed like he had a bunch of tables or was just doing a lot because we would disappear for some time and then pop back up drenched in sweat. So again it wasn’t a horrible experience just the worst that I’ve had in the times I’ve been.
Our table was cleaned and ready on-time. Our Server, Keith was knowledgeable, personable, and efficient and his recommendations for entrees, sides, and desserts were all thoughful and delicious! We’ve dined here previously and the staff and management consistently create and deliver a wonderful experience. We lie out of state but visit C. Ellet’s whenever we are in Atlanta and plan to try the Jazz Brunch during our next visit.
In the past I’d been very impressed with this restaurant. Last night the were out of salmon, and the food was underwhelming.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm disappointed to hear that your time with us did not live up to your past visits. We understand consistency is important, so I have shared your review with our team so we can improve our culinary processes. I hope that the next time you dine with us we exceed your expectations.
Go to Hal’s or Rathbuns for that price. Food was not prepared as stated and for the price was no better than an Outback Steakhouse. Guess they are charging for their rent in The Battery but it is not worth it at all!
As always the food and service at C.Ellets is top notch. The weekend brunch is the best in Atlanta. All you can eat fried chicken is the best in town and the cheeseburger and lobster rolls are to die for. Frose, cocktails, ice cold beer. Hands down my favorite restaurant in ATL. Thank you Linton Hopkins!!!!
Thank you for such a lovely review! I'm so happy to hear that you love our Jazz Brunch– we love the live music along with the delicious brunch options. I will make sure to share your thoughts with our team and Chef Hopkins– cheers, and we'll see you again soon.
Our dining experience was fantastic from the drinks to the food to the service. We. can't wait to go back again.
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your drinks and dining experience. Thank you, and we can't wait to see you back again!
While pre-Covid we LOVED C. Ellets, recently our visits just haven’t been the same. I get staff shortage, etc but food quality shouldn’t suffer because of that. We had reservations so they knew the number of patrons expected. I ordered a lobster roll because the previous visit there my steak wasn’t great so I decided to order safely with a roll. I was wrong again. This lobster roll had very little lobster and the (basically) hot dog bun was so crunchy I didn’t eat half of it. At a $30 price point I was very disappointed. I want so badly for it to be as good as it once was but after 4-5 visits, I just don’t think it can be. We live 15 minutes from it and visit the Battery a lot. I have no more tries in me for this restaurant.
Our server was amazing but the kitchen messed up our order several times and sent out two different dishes with hair on them! We spoke to the Manager but he seem disinterested. Probably will not dine there again.
it was just ok. steak came out overcooked. Medium Rare shouldn't be hard. kind of bland all around. Servers are great. Atmosphere is nice.
just expected a LOT better

Vastly undercooked steak, wasn’t fixed by waiter after mentioning to him, he was too busy to take all of our drink orders. Over priced. Go to Bones or Hals and have a better meal at a lower price

Went specifically for Sunday Brunch only to learn once seated that they were not offering Brunch due to World Series ! They should have notated that on their website !! Heard other diners complaining about no Brunch being offered !! Guess they figured they had a captive audience since it was game day and most places were packed . Not a good way to do business !
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry that you did not get to have the Jazz Brunch experience you were expecting to have. We strive for excellence in hospitality, and we missed the mark with you this time. We try and make sure to update our processes so our guests enjoy their time with us. Wonderful Saturday brunch/lunch. Excellent service from David. Such a great menu and we enjoyed everything from chilled shrimp to fried chicken and champagne of course!
Thank you for sharing your kind review! I'm so happy to hear you had a lovely Jazz Brunch. I will make sure David and our culinary team hear that you enjoyed your time. Come see us again soon– cheers!
One meal for my partner came out perfectly cooked. Grouper and mushrooms were delicious. Second meal, not so much. Pork chop looked amazing. It was huge but when you cut it to it the center was cold and raw. It was sent back only for it to take an additional 15 mins for the manager to return. My partner finished her meal when mine arrived. We went to dine together, not separate. The manager who brought the pork chop back to the table did not offer anything other then thank you for your patience. For the money spent and having to eat separately , it would have been nice to at least offer a comped dessert. We did take very good care of the server, knowing this was not her fault.
Thank you for your kind review! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us. We hope to see you back again soon!
Excellent as always

C. Ellet’s had a great atmosphere. The baseball leather on the chairs and benches was a special touch for being inside The Battery. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Cant wait to go back.
Thank you for sharing your kind review! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our ambiance and our food. We can't wait to see you back with us, cheers!
The service was very nice. It was very disappointing for me to find out they did not have the one reason I went. Nice champagne. And it happened to be loud from the World Series crowd… the food was good… I may give it a second chance.

The lighting was TOO BRIGHT.
It was as if the cleaning lights were on.
Pictures show elegant French modern bar but it was closed & used for private parties.
Food was good quality and prepared well but overpriced. Our server did an excellent job and was charming. The wine menu was not so great
Thank you for sharing your review. I will make sure our management team hears about your concerns with the lighting in the main dining room, as we want to make sure our guest experience is excellent for everyone. I will also share your thoughts with our culinary team, as we are constantly looking to expand our selection. I hope you choose to dine with us again soon so we can exceed your expectations.
TBH I chose this restaurant because they have a jazz brunch. My server David was really informative and nice. I wanted the all you can eat chicken but was told they were out of it. My wife ordered the baseball steak which is apparently a real tough piece of beef. We returned if for a fillet. Other reviews lead me to believe the Mac n cheese was wonderful but it was really average. The best part of our meal was the appetizer potato skins and the sticky bun. It was with out question wonderful. Our drinks were made really good. We spent almost 200.00 and i just don't believe it was really worth it. But we did get to hear great music and set under a tv in a mirror. Unfortunately the mirror was really dirty. I doubt we will be returning.

Not a good experience. Bread was stale, salad was bland and steak came out twice very rare.

Cheers and happy belated birthday to you! I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful celebration. We hope to see you back with us soon.
Food was excellent as always, but the service was somewhat lacking. It isn't the type of service I would expect from a restaurant like this considering the prices.
