One of the best steaks in Atlanta and superb wine selections. Can't wait to go back. Best shrimp EVER! It does seem to be fresh! Enjoy everything about it!
Awesome steakhouse in the Battery. Perfectly done steaks with a host of delicious sides, and fresh seafood to boot. This is my go to restaurant.
This is definitely a steakhouse, but the seafood is amazing! Crab cakes and lobster are highly recommended. The service is okay. Seems like they are going through the motions and don’t genuinely care. If you do happen to have an issue with the experience do not expect the managers to do anything about it. They essentially tell their guests a poor experience is a lost cause. It is pricey. There are better options for similar quality food at a similar price with much better service and I would advise going there over here.
We loved our dinner at C. Ellet’s! My husband had the filet and I had the grouper ~ we chose Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts for sides....they did not disappoint! And that bread they brought out before our meal was unbelievable! So good! We will definitely go back. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our server, Alexandria, and her phenomenal service! She was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and was absolutely delightful!
Everything was great except they hassled me about validating the parking. Two waiters told me parking would be validated, but that I needed to see the hostess. The hostess gave me grief and said they only validate on “event” days. We were, in fact, going to an event at the Roxy. They eventually validated. This is too nice a restaurant to leave a negative last impression. None of the other restaurants ever quibble over validating parking.
The food is always amazing and love the atmosphere!
Very good overall experience. Good service and good ambience, only complaint is it was slightly over priced.
Very pleasant date night. Great filet and grouper dish (spicy).
Great server for a wonderful birthday celebration!
Great food, great location! I wish they would scale up the interior a bit more. However, it was a great over all experience!
Loved our waiter and food. The bus boys/girls were not very knowledgeable and our waiter was stretched thin. My steak was perfect. The oysters were magnificent. We could not order dessert because 2 hours was not enough for 4 courses and we ordered quickly. We will go back with more time.
It is pricey. The mixed drink prices were excessive. We liked the way the service staff and management worked together to support each other to provide a good experience for their patrons.
There are a lot of other places where we have had steak in Atlanta that have been far better!
The service was impeccable, the food is something we felt we could have made home better.
The crab cake had little flavor but had lots of crab meat.
The cowboy rib eye was pretty tough to be cooked medium but the color was great.
The steak tar tar was phenomenal and they also served two complimentary macaroons that had pimento cheese that were delightful.
The drinks were great as well.
If we revisited again we would just do drinks and appetizers the entrees were not the best
We made a reservation and upon our arrival we were told that someone had "bought out" the restaurant so it would be necessary for us to sit in the more casual dining area. We were disappointed but that did not last for very long. The manager came over to us and apologized and stated that we would receive the same menu and service that we would have if we were in the main area. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our evening very enjoyable. On top of the hospitality the food was fantastic; I would highly recommend the pimento cheese macaroons! I will definitely return to C. Ellet's on my next visit to Atlanta.
I have eaten here a couple of times and it’s a hit and miss, first time that I ate here was the best steak I have ever eaten in Atlanta, last weekend was the worst steak I have ever had, 3 people in my party had the same steak and all agree no better than a long horn steak, all steaks were the Japanese Wagyu strip, very disappointed, the quality was no better then a steak I could buy at a Kroger’s. This might have been my last trip to C. Ellets, will stick with his over places like Holeman and Finch.
It was awesome! The food was amazing and service was second to none.
My first experience with C Ellet's was very positive. We decided to go there again for my birthday. Service was lacking, bread service didn't arrive until after our meal. Not a special evening.
We arrived to C.Ellets for a 6:45 reservation. After waiting at the bar for over 40 minutes for our table we were seated. They were out of the bottle of wine we selected, which was fine. We were then told they were out of many of the side options we tried to order. After over 60 minutes of waiting for our food with no comments from staff, we asked the manager if he could check on our food, he apologized said he "knew the kitchen was slow tonight because there were large parties in the other room" and promised our food would be out soon. When we called him over a 2nd time 30 minutes later, he told us there was a table in front of us who's food was being cooked (they were seated well after us but must have complained first) and our food would be coming our very soon once their orders were complete. At 9:30PM after a 2 hour wait we informed our server we were leaving, we were charged for the bottle of wine we drank and we left the restaurant without having eaten. What we regret more than coming here was not leaving sooner. There should have been immediate communication that the kitchen was having issues and then it would have been our decision to wait it out, managements handle on the scenario was unacceptable. Not recommended
We celebrated our 5th anniversary at C. Ellet’s. We were greeted with celebratory drinks from the restaurant and the superior customer service just continued from there. The staff is friendly, funny and polished providing the service you expected from a steakhouse without feeling stuck up. The food was AMAZING, incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. This is an amazing restaurant tucked away at The Battery, you will not be disappointed!!!
It is very difficult to be a “Traditional” steakhouse when you don’t act like one. All the parts are there just some of them are poorly represented. The staff just can’t pull it off and I lay that at the feet of management. Service itself Is fine and professional (for the most part). What I had food wise was good and priced accordingly. The failure was how the staff was dressed. A traditional steakhouse should have the staff in white jackets and management in well Tailored suits. The waiters are in I’ll fitted and suits and management in miss matched sports coats. If you are gonna be a traditional steakhouse then you must look and dress like one.
We made reservations but were seated in what seemed to be a bar area. Our waiter was bartender too. Big screen tv and $300 dinner don’t go together. My food came out cold and it was noisy. We had to request that wrestling be turned off on the big screen tv where we were dining. Not a good experience.
Food was good. Staff was excellent. Kitchen was very slow. Took almost an hour and a half for our food. Service staff did excellent taking care of us and comped a portion of the bill.
It’s a nice restaurant, but the food is a bit subpar for the price point.
Outstanding service and wonderful food. Helped make my husband's birthday very special!
Ordered the pork chop. I should have sent it back as it was cold after eating a few bites found that it was raw near the bone. Also became deathly ill. My husband was told that they use Sou Vide cooking but apparently they do not have the experience.
Fantastic as always, great atmosphere, the best food, and outstanding service led by Brian with his team!!!
We highly recommend them!!!
Go and enjoy!
Served wrong drinks and oysters. Then my $19 chicken Caesar salad was so dry and chicken was severely over cooked. I asked for a new one because I was choking on the chicken. The new one was almost just poor. I ate it because it was later in the evening but was embarrassed during my business dinner with clients. Will not be returning after spending over $150 for the worst food I’ve had in Atlanta.
Shrimp Cocktail! Nice!
Bone in Filet ! Perfect!
Potato Gratin! Cheesy!
Overall very good. Service was dressed up but average! Food was Excellent!
The waiter appeared to believe that my wife and I were illiterate and had never ordered a steak. Just because we have not “dined with you before” does not mean we need the menu read to us.
The cocktails were tasty but the wine pours were a bit short for the $18-$19 I was charged per glass. The beef tartar was good but not nearly as tasty as what I ate at Holeman & Finch Public House - I expected them to be the same or very similar.
Food was very disappointing, bland ,not good at all. Our waiter did not pay attention to our table at all and tables that arrived 25 minutes after us got their food long before we did. I had to actually go find the manager and she didn’t care. Not worth the expensive bill. Disappointing
Took nearly 2 hours for entree to arrive / and then was warm and not hot / room was incredibly noisy and was difficult to converse with my Clients. There are a lot of great Steak Houses in Atlanta - for C. Ellets to compete for this Customer - especially for repeat visits - they have to step up.
We came here mainly because we had a very good experience last year. Back then we had the hen of the forest mushrooms as a side, which tasted phantastic. So this time I ordered these Matsutake mushrooms which is the other name for these and a steak as a side. I shared the rib eye with a friend and also this was excellent: good quality of the meat, enough fat as a taste carrier and grilled to perfection. We were sitting outside in front of the stadium. Service was friendly and the check moderate given the fact that we were 6 and did not order any wine. If we have the opportunity we will come back next year.
The french fries were great! The service was very slow from time to order to actually getting our meals (1hr 15min). Overall we were there for 3hr and it was a very long feeling 3hrs. They did offer free dessert which was appreciated but something must have been fundamentally wrong that day because we weren’t the only table having issues.
Salty salty salty
We like this restaurant, great location and waiter service
The steak was excellent with the perfect amount of char.
We don’t normally think fine steakhouse in shorts and Braves T-shirts, but the staff made us feel totally comfortable.
We ate in the dining room so the noise level was low. Good was wonderful and plenty of selections. They have a very nice wine list and interesting cocktails. Our server was friendly and attentive without interrupting our meal and conversation.
