Bygone

Can not express how pleased I was with the evening. Have never thanked a restaurant, but feel it is not enough in this case. Looking forward to the next visit and sharing it with those at my table and the staff!!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The food was amazing!

The waiter Anil was by far the best waiter I have had at a fine dining establishment in over 5 years he was very attentive professional had great recommendations and excellent insight into the different course selections and wine pairings and even offered some light and invited conversation. I will definitely be returning to this establishment at a later date.

The best part about Bygone is far and away the view. The service was great, but I was not blown away by the entrees that my fiancé and I had there. The appetizer, side, and desserts were pretty good though!

Great food, Great Views, Receptionist our waiter and management made us feel welcomed and helped us celebrate our anniversary! Kudos to you guys. We will be back.

The views are amazing, and the food was very good. However, we have dined at other fine dining restaurants in and around Baltimore, and we feel that the (over) pricing of the food does not correctly reflect the overall taste and preparation.

Best experience ever.

Our server Darcel was fantastic!! Outstanding service and recommendations from him. We loved our table which was tucked in a corner up against the glass. The view was amazing!

Went for a birthday dinner and everything was perfect!

The service and view was very nice but the food was not good at all, I would not recommend anyone here. Way to expensive for the food to be the way is it.

Enjoyed immensely...we celebrated our wedding anniversary in style and the best view of the city.

I went here three times while I was home and I have to say that I cannot decide what I enjoy better the view during the daytime or nighttime but the food is always amazing and the drinks are so memorable I love this place ! The atmosphere is so elegant its a place straight out of the great Gatsby. I will always go here when I am home in Baltimore.

Excellent views, service and food

The food was phenomenal. Best Halibut I’ve ever had. The city views were lovely. I was pleased with their Covid protocols. Everyone was spaced nicely. Masks were required and readily enforced for anyone walking around. Hand sanitizer was available at the entrance.

High quality drinks and food with a beautiful view of the city. It is pricey though so I recommend going for special occasions. Drinks are 17+ and I got an appetizer that was two scallops for $21. But the service is excellent!

My boyfriend and I came all the way from Miami, and chose to dine in at the Bygone for his birthday dinner. We were seated at a table close to the window, and then the hostess moved us elsewhere for a better view. He also received a handwritten birthday card from their front of the house team which was a special and unexpected touch!
Rachael took amazing care of us, and we had a lot in common! We started with the Gnocchi, and for our meal had a NY Strip, lamb and shared 2 sides (macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes) and they were all amazing!
Finished off the evening with creme brûlée and it didn’t disappoint. She provided us with complimentary champagne for a toast and we loved every minute of our experience!

First time visiting The Bygone and I absolutely love this place! Their oysters are extremely fresh. The ambiance is absolutely spectacular. The over view of the Baltimore Harbor sets the the tone for a very romantic dinner or a special night out with friends and family. The service here is on point.

Everything was excellent. Just remember the dress code is strictly enforced. We seen many try to come in sweat pants and sneakers.

I was really surprised at how close the tables were and that each of the tables and booths were occupied with no gaps. It made me nervous the entire time. The food was spectacular, though, and the view of the city was phenomenal.

It was our anniversary and it was so special. We were treated so well. All the extra touches were amazing! Thanks for a wonderful evening. We will definitely come back.

We had a bit of a trip and fall before arriving and staff were very accommodating bringing us a bag of ice to the table. We did desserts and drinks and everything was wonderful, food/drinks came out promptly, both were delicious, server was attentive but not overbearing, view was exceptional. All staff wore masks and tables were spaced apart or closed for social distancing.

Beyond expectations, the views are amazing. I love this place

I have been to the Bygone a few times. My most recent experience was underwhelming. I expected more of a fine dining experience. The music selection was a bit loud and didn’t fit with the ambiance.
The food was not nearly as good as it’s been in the past. This may be a result of covid and limited menus. But last time I had done (about 18 months ago) I thought the options were greater with better presentation. This time it was just an average selection and presentation for a nicer restaurant.
Our server was pretty good. But he seemed to disappear for a solid 30-40 min between dinner and asking us if we were done or wanted dessert.

I also felt that given covid they got a little too close for comfort. Reaching over patrons etc to give flatware, serve the food.

Social distancing seemingly was there. The restaurant wasn’t full by any means but we did go on a Wednesday. They also seemed to keep tables apart but again it wasn’t full so I don’t know how it would be on a higher volume night.

I don’t know that the price of food is worth the experience. Overall experience was ok but nothing to go out of my way to return.

Our server Alex was outstanding! He helped us with our menu choices and was on it with anticipating our needs. The food was tasty and the view was the icing on the cake.

It was great, but my husband got sick from the food. 🤮

My birthday celebration. I was a little disappointed the outside was closed off. Pictures would have been to die for. Overall, everything was amazing.
