The Bygone’s warm and welcoming atmosphere is reminiscent of an old-school social club, while our open rotisserie grill, signature whiskey bar and craft cocktails add a flair that is undoubtedly contemporary. Experience the vibes and the views.
While service was very good, food choice was very limited, all alcoholic drinks are extra and self parking is not validated. Overpriced!
It was a great Easter Sunday Brunch! It was a Buffett so true table service wasn’t tested. Friendly staff who seemed to appreciate us being there. Can’t beat the view in Baltimore.
Easter Brunch - great food, service, and view!
The food and service was fantastic. Unfortunately we were seated at a table right by the kitchen. So the noise level was particularly loud. And we were unable to appreciate the beautiful view.
I agree with what I have heard many others say about the Bygone- go for the ambience (that view is unreal), and expect to pay for it. The food was okay. (Try the baked Alaska for dessert). The service was good, but I heard our waiter say the same thing to two other couples in our section. "You make a great couple." It felt inauthentic by the time he said it to my boyfriend and I. I had "The Dove" drink with vodka, and it was scrumptious. I will definitely go back for a drink or two, but I'm not so sure the food is worth the $$$.
Amazing view, ambiance, food, wine and overall evening!
The food is overrated, need more flavor. Scallop ceviche was great, oyesters was great as well. Cauliflower needs more flavor, it was just fried. Lamb chop did not have no taste, but the sauces and the presentation was great. Over all our 4 entree’s was not the best for the ambiance and the service. Bread, wine, cream brûlée’s was very good.
We were looking forward to a relaxing dinner, instead we were rushed thru cocktails to dessert in 45 minutes. Food was very mediocre and not what is described in menu. My husband ordered Amish rotisserie chicken half and was served a boneless skinless very dry chicken breast. I ordered the lobster with potatoes Anna and received a very small (3) bite over cooked lobster tail on a piece of puff pastry, no potatoes at all. We will not be returning despite the lovely views of the city.
37th wedding anniversary
Walking into the restaurant is like going back in time ! The decore was charming and the city view was breathtaking. I had the delicious Dover sole. We were all happy with the dinner service, the drinks and the food. The gentleman in the elevator with the cool hat was pleasant and informative as well as our waiter and waitress. I went back later to try the whiskey bar but it was closed :( So I decided to go for dessert at the outdoor area and sat next to the fire pit. It was great. The breakfast next day was also great, especially since I sat next to the window overseeing the water. I highly recommend this gem!
Went for my husband’s birthday the cocktails were good, appetizers were fine. The Amish chicken was not so great, overpriced for the offer. Otherwise all good. Ambience was wonderful. My favorite part of the night. Least favorite was the bill lol 😂
Amazing view. Overpriced food. Would recommend for special occasion or tourists looking for the best view in the city. Overall a good experience. Great service by Paul!
Everything was fabulous except the volume. It was so loud we could barely hear each other without practically screaming. Made dinner a bit stressful.
The setting is stunning, the staff friendly and helpful and our meal was great . Will go back!
From the moment we stepped onto the elevator it became an experience we will never forget! The view, appetizers, the entrees and then Dessert! Perfection!
Very romantic, amazing view. The service was impeccable and the food/cocktails were outstanding. Definitely will go back to treat ourselves.
Very classy, upscale restaurant!! Breathtaking views and the wait staff was nothing less than top notch!!! Dinner for two ran me $200 with no alcohol at all but I would definitely say it is something that I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning again and again!!
We had this chef selection and it was perfect everything was to your liking
The food was outstanding, the view awesome, the service the best!
Celebrated an anniversary here, also celebrated our first time at the Bygone and it was an amazing choice. Will be back again.
Such a great time at Bygone. Be sure to check out the nightclub after dinner. Nothin but adults having adult fun. Music will keep you on the dance floor all night.
The only three negatives I can say about Bygone is, 1. It’s pretty difficult to find, they should really put a sign outdoors. 2. I honestly just got the worst table in the entire restaurant, it had no view, into a corner, with a fake plant in our face the whole time. They should really just get rid of that table all together, 3. The noise level was so loud, I honestly couldn’t even hear my date. Other then that. The bygone was pretty nice.
BYGONE is a wonderful addition to Baltimore's culinary scene. I always enjoy an excellent dining experience here.
The food was amazing. Service was great. Wonderful experience. The duck was to die for!
Waiter claimed Bygones had the best old fashions in the United States. He said if I didn’t think so, I could send it back and he would pay for it. I didn’t send it back. If you’re a drinker, you have to try their old fashions.
Steak and lobster were fantastic! Great service!
Excellent service, delicious entrees & amazing & caring wait staff! Grateful for the amazing experience.
This was my second attempt to dine at this establishment and luckily we were successful to get in only because one person in our party opted not to “go up.” Our first attempt as with this one, both were for birthday dinners and unfortunately the first time we didn’t review the dress code, this time we did. Once we arrived to be rejected again for similar reasons shoes! These weren’t normal athletic track shoes, although they were high end Valentino casual shoes — no one runs/ exercises in this type of shoe, once my boyfriend was rejected, my daughter and I proceeded up to the restaurant to see that there were other dress infractions in the restaurant; not to mention that the ambiance of the restaurant is really dim and dark so no one is paying any attention to your shoes anyway! Outside of that, which dampen our celebration we enjoyed celebrating my daughters 18th Birthday. The meal was great our server was awesome and hopefully we can return again and maybe they’ll consider loosening the dress standards slightly — if Active Duty Military can get in with boots, which I also proudly serve; someone whose wearing 800$ shoes should also be considered!
My wife and I were celebrating our 11th year of marriage, and it went perfectly. We even spoke of returning next year. I’m hoping a few times in between.
Good food. Great scene. Service was lacking.
It was fabulous-the food was outstanding and the service spot on-and that view!!!!!!
We had a wonderful overall experience!!! We will be back to experience it after dark!!!
The service they provided from the front and thru out the evening was magnificent. Will be recommending to everyone I know, and will be going back myself .
I will definitely be there again I loved the view and the ambiance was amazing
It was OK. We went to brunch. The chicken and biscuits were hard. Most memorable item was the waffle. For $60 per person the selection could be wayyyyyy better. I wasnt impressed.
There was a long wait for many tables to be seated that had reservations including ours. We arrived an hour early to enjoy the bar scene with a drink but was sat 45-minutes past our reservation time. Table service was great but the previous wait did tarnish the overall experience.
The atmosphere is amazing! This place would do better as just a lounge/bar. They need a great head chef to steer the food in the right direction.
The wait staff and/or the kitchen turn a meal into an ordeal. No wonder we were seated 40 minutes late. It took so long to place our order and then, the normally appreciated gap between appetizers and entrees was soooooo long, we had to ask when we would be served. It is obvious that reservations cannot be honored when the meal service is so poor.
The food was good but not exceptional, and not worth the wait or subsequent level of service.
The sommelier was very helpful and recommended a bottle of wine that was exactly what we were looking for.
It was a horrible experience. We were seated right away but it took forever for us to get our drinks. The longer it took the more we wanted our waiter to come explain to us why it was taking so long and she barely came close to the table. When we finally beckoned her to come close to the table so that we can discuss what our concerns were it just seemed like she didn’t really understand that it was taking too long to get our drinks. It took a good 35 minutes. When we finally got our drinks it took what seemed like an eternity to get our appetizers and they were very straightforward appetizers. It took some 45 minutes or more. It’s funny, because I chuckled when we finally got the appetizers that I hope the meal is not coming soon after because it won’t be fair to us eating appetizers with the meal. I probably should not have said that because it took at least another hour for the meal to come. When it finally did make it to the table the presentation was horrible. And the food was tasteless. We ordered the rib eye with a Chilean sea bass and it was flat out terrible.
The worst part of everything was I let the waitress know and she asked me to be patient to talk to the manager. The manager did come by and apologize profusely and said you know ‘this is not who we are and we’re going to waive the cost of the meal’. I told him three times on three different occasions ‘I do not mind paying for the meal and he immediately after I said that told me ‘no no no this is not who we are if you didn’t like the food you don’t have to pay for the food’. Only for me to get up to leave with my wife and have somebody chase me down at the elevator instructing me that they took off some of the food From the bill and presented me with a less than complete but nevertheless still a bill which he promised me when I was sitting down(despite me asking him three times)he was not going to give me. It was very irritating and the incompetence of even the manager was very annoying
Very very bad
