Byblos - Downtown
Outstanding food. Loved the fried chicken, short rib kebab and the stuffed baklava was incredible. Such a fun spot for date night, friends dinner, any occasion!
The food here is absolutely amazing, I don't know if there is better in Toronto for high end Mediterranean food. It's definitely not cheap but worth every penny. I would highly recommend the Eggplant Kibbeh, it was the highlight of the night and we wanted more as soon as we finished. A friend and I split the Lamb Shoulder and that really was incredible. I can't wait to go back!
Always a great treat to go to Byblos. We loves the new additions to the menu
The food and wine was phenomenal, but the small space and vaulted brick ceilings really amplified the sound and made the experience louder than I'd expected.
Great food and location! My third time going! Let our server pick our dishes and it was fantastic!
I did recommend Byblos because we had such a wonderful experience and they went and thought it was excellent as well. The food is delicious, one of the best experiences I have had eating out in a very long time. Thank you.
Everything was simply fantastic, the lamb shoulder, steak tartare—tea service—loved it all! Would strongly recommend.
Wonderful service and food recommendations. Everything was delicious and outstanding presentation
Our server attentive and accommodating
The you lady that served us was quite good although I dropped my knife and never did get a new one. We enjoyed the food and the server was very helpful in fine tuning our selection. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out the dessert for the birthday girl with a candle and a happy birthday decoration which was nice. The original wine we had selected from the list was not available. It was not crazy busy but the noise level was quite high. A little expensive but a nice treat for a special occasion.
I wish I could give zero stars. 4.5 RANKING IS A DELUSION. VERY SMALL PORTIONs. I have had my special events guests there and everyone went out of the restaurant hungry and it is really a shame. I ordered Tahdig and i felt like its left over food as the portions was really small. Not only small portions but also very expensive and pricey. NEVER WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE.
The food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!
Great Middle Eastern food. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto.
The food was delicious and the cocktail of the day was wonderful.
Terrific meal for a group. Multiple choices for every preference - carnivore, vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan. Wonderful, fun bonding experience.
Excellent cuisine although a little bit on the pricey side. Service was outstanding. Our server took the time to explain the menu as it was our first visit. We will definitely dine here again. Be sure to make a reservation. It was full on a Tuesday night at 6pm and quite noisy.
Food was excellent! Service was kinda meh. Dude was flying all over the place and running away from our table as we were trying to initiate an order. Otherwise was a fantastic experience!
No I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless they were filthy rich OR didn't mind going to dinner at a restaurant and leaving hungry after paying a lot.
Beautiful food. Knowledgeable staff. A great place for a special dinner out!
The atmosphere and service were good but the food was very disappointing. Fish - brazini - was over cooked and quite small as a serving for two people. Coucous was bland. Lamb ribs were very fatty and the octupus was tender but lacking in taste. Overall, I thought this restaurant was overrated expecially as it was listed as one of Toronto's Top 100. We arrived early but were seated quickly. However, we were the only people in the dining room at that time and they wanted to seat us next to the door into the kitchen. They did seat us elsewhere when asked .
Excellent inventive food! Always a treat to dine here
Excellent food and overall experience! The service was impeccable.
Nice except too dark I had to pull out my phone flashlight to see the menus.
We absolutely loved Byblos. The food and service were outstanding. Our only issue was the price of wine per glass. We have been to many many top restaurants in Toronto and all over the world. And to charge 36.00 per glass of wine is unreasonable. It isn’t necessary and it put a damper on what was s perfect dinner.
It was ok- Lamb was great. Octopus was disappointing. Found the servings small especially the vegetables W had to ask them to speed it up because we barely made our theatre start time. Flavours were interesting and worth a try.
Overall,an excellent spot and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thought the wine list was overpriced. $36 for a glass of Cab Sauv was a bit over the top.
Our dining companions had experienced Byblos hospitality already so along with their suggestions and those of our waiter we were treated to some excellent menu choices. I certainly do recommend the lamb dish. It was fork tender and delicious.
The food was amazing and the selection was great. It was very noisy though as there was a larger group in the restaurant. It was difficult to chat with our table.
Wait time for food being served is quiet longer than expected.
Lovely ! Excellent dishes.
From the moment we walked in to when we left the experience was amazing. The staff were all smiles, helpful and exceeded our expectations. The food was very flavorful without being overpowering. Every bite was delicious! I can’t wait to return and try more dishes! The complementary parking was the icing on the cake.
Hostess and seating staff were wonderful, it was our server that wasn’t very hospitable and was more focused on the up sell. Upon sitting down there was a dead fly in our water and our server could not be more bothered with it. He just let it roll over as if it was nothing. Then when ordering he suggested that we order 6 to 8 items amongst two people. Then promptly tried to take alcoholic drink orders and when we said we won’t be drinking tonight he seemed super annoyed by that because he knew the bill would be significantly less.
When we ordered he duly noted the rice would take 30 minutes to come out, but then our meal came with NO rice... why mention the rice will take long and then act shocked when we thought our Kebob would come with rice? Over all, we felt that that we were not valued patrons, sorry we only spent $80 at your restaurant.
Amazing! I’m a foody and I love this place. Every dish is so good. I like the modern day twist to middle eastern food. It is pricey but really really good. One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto (and I have been to many).
Amazing food and great ambiance. Perfect venue to enjoy great cocktails and food while hosting.
Service was very slow, the restaurant was not busy only a few tables. Considering there were no reservations open for 7PM so I took earlier time.
Food was ok rather bland. Not worth the money.
Wonderful food. Incredible flavours and interesting unique dishes
Great atmosphere to spend a romantic dinner or gathering with friends
Reservation was held
A nice table.
Server was great
Food was delicious.
This is one of the better Toronto restaurants
Right from the start the staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
Our server had great knowledge of both the menu items as well as the wine list.
Make sure you leave enough room for desert! It is second to none!
Amazing. I’m still dreaming about the Turkish dumplings.
Outstanding food and service as always! one of my favourite spots
