   Very good experience and will go back. Our waitress was spectacular. Her name was Tabby W. and she was friendly, attentive paid attention to detail. Shrimp & Grits is delish but only 3 shrimp. Good drinks!!

   My waiter, James, was wonderful. Attentive. Professional and Funny! The food was great. I had the cornbread muffins to start, the filet with spinach and asparagus sides, and I finished with creme Brule. Everything was cooked perfectly right to the crispy snap of the burnt sugar. It was quiet enough to hold a conversation with someone at the next table if desired.

    This restaurant is BEAUTIFUL however the food does not align with the setting. We tried a variety of entrees which were visibly appealing but lacked flavor. Everything was very bland!

    We’ve never been to By George, and I made this reservation for my birthday. The host, nor our waitress never said a word about my birthday. I ordered my salmon well done, meaning I didn’t want it pink and slimy in the middle. We waited forever for our food and when it appeared, my salmon was charred. There were actually black burnt crumbs all over my plate from it. I didn’t want to make a scene since it was my birthday. Plus, if they didn’t care about my birthday, why would they care about the cook on my salmon? Anyone could clearly see it was burnt and they still chose to serve it to me. We won’t be back. There are way too many excellent restaurants in Atlanta to spend our time and money there again.

    There was a built-in gratuity of 18% which was a surprise given that we were a party of four. Also, the server did not tell us that gratuity was included when the bill was presented. The service was terrible and I would guess the wait staff knows they are guaranteed the 18% plus whatever unsuspecting people add to that.

    Since our server still had on a mask we couldn’t understand her. Can’t believe the kitchen refused split our food. The server brought the smallest plates ever for us to split for ourselves.

    We were in town for some special events, and before we checked out of the Candler, we had breakfast. We sat at the bar and it was a good experience. The gentleman playing the guitar did a great job, and was not overpowering and enjoyable. We had mimosas, which were good. my partner had the oatmeal, which she said was very good and I had the omelette which was equally as good. The weak link were the four pastries. Nothing wrong with them, but they certainly didn’t appear to be made in house unlike the corn muffins we had for lunch there the other day. Nevertheless, good experience and we would recommend.

    Although the restaurant was not particularly busy, the service was quite poor. We actually had to get up and find napkins and a pitcher of water because no one came by the table for at least 20 minutes. Bar was not crowded, but staff was unmotivated to serve. Drinks and food were very slow to be served. Our waiter was very friendly. but disappeared for great lengths of time. The manager stayed up front and never circulated around the dining room to see how he could assist. Great ambience and we really enjoyed the sax player.

    The most disappointing dining experience I’ve ever had. Ordered a bone in ribeye that was served charred & dry in the outside while simultaneously raw & chewy on the inside. The “crispy” Brussels sprouts came out wet & soft with no flavor to save them. The romaine salad was served with raw crouton. I brought up the issues with the manager David and the only comment he had for me was “I’ll pass along your comments to the chef.” Dinner for my wife & I was $170 and I paid full price since the manager did not care to offer a single concession. This experience was all the more disappointing because the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Dine elsewhere until they figure out the kitchen & management issues

    Brunch was exceptional! Every dish we ordered was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The French Toast was among the best we’ve ever had, and breakfast standards like eggs and sides were cooked to perfection and served hot. Coffee was great as well! Our server was really great; however, the restaurant didn’t seem to have enough servers for the number of tables. The hostess seemed overwhelmed and really busy but didn’t have enough help and is charged not only with seating guests but also with pouring them water at brunch. That seems like not a big deal until there are a lot of tables to seat. Unfortunately, the hostess forgot to come back to pour our water after we were finally seated (we had a Rez and several tables were available but servers seemed overwhelmed and understaffed so they were pacing seating). This meant that, after waiting past our Rez time, we sat for a long time without seeing any server or even having water to sip on. We were on the verge of going over to get the water pitcher for ourselves when one of the servers noticed and came to our table. She then provided amazing service from that point on but I don’t think we were technically in her section. But, she salvaged our experience there, along with the incredible food. We realize the service industries are short-staffed these days but, when a very busy brunch weekend is planned, the restaurant should consider limiting reservation numbers to what it can manage or staffing up to handle the reservations that have been accepted. But, again, the food was great. Our first time there and we will try it again sometime at a less busy time to see if things have improved. Lots of potential to be an extraordinary ATL brunch spot with some better staffing and customer service.

    Rodney was the best! He made our experience so pleasant. Food was delicious. We shared the croque madame and the blueberry lemon pancakes. Both were excellent. I highly recommend for food, service, and ambiance.

    Excited to try this restaurant based on other’s reviews however we were very disappointed. The service was slow, not knowledgeable about the beverage menu, and overall poor. We ordered the Tomahawk for 2 because we’ve had it at other restaurants but this was awful. Menu says it’s 30oz of meat but there is no way. Maybe 15oz and pure fat. If you chose to pick around the fat and actually get a taste of it, it had no flavor. The sides were also very bland. We started with the cornbread which was fine and pork belly which was overcooked and also not flavorful. We expected this meal to be expensive because of what we chose to order but the food was terrible and not worth the cost. The hostess was very nice but sadly that doesn’t make up for the food and service.

    I didn't go to school for a food critic, but I know what I like. The breakfast ambience was in need of some Ingredients along with the food. Nothing was bad and nothing was great. I notice too many people handling food plates and worried patrons of the 11'oclock shift change. My 1st visit. Solid C grade

    Waitress was very friendly / attentive for the most of the time we were there. Maybe things got too busy for continued rapore until the end of the meal. Appetizers arrived before our drinks...we like these items in reverse. Value score pertains to our sticker shock when converting pricing to Cdn. funds. Similar food is not that pricey here.

    Food was very good, service not so much. Table of 6, brought us a basket of 5 (very good) rolls. Never asked if we wanted more. Empty dirty plates from appetizers were left on our table well into the main course until we asked that they be taken away, even then, some were left. Our server came back and asked about dessert and left us a few dessert menus while we were still eating dinner. At the end of the meal, the plates were never cleared. We are a pretty forgiving group of folks who have all worked in restaurants and bars over the years. Seems like the servers need more training, at this level it should be more polished.

    Probably the best option for pre-Rialto dining, but that's not saying much. The other restaurants in the area are terrible. By George is OK but nothing to get excited about. Lots of large groups and extremely loud people at the bar. Service was 'distracted' and they kept making rookie mistakes.

    My group was looking forward to dining here after a long week of work. Initial reception was off. Had 11:15am reservation and wasn’t seated until after 11:45pm. Mind you the restaurant was 2/3 unoccupied. The host (possibly the manager) didn’t seem to care on any level. She gave no reason or even a sympathetic apology for the delayed service. Her response frankly was rude. However, our server was professional and very pleasant. The food was average. Typical over pricing for a restaurant in a a hotel. The ambiance is nice for a outing with friends. More than likely won’t dine here again, nor recommend to anyone. The first impression with the first line, the host, will be a lasting one. It colored the experience negative. Before we truly got started. When everything about the establishment is on par with any other restaurant, nothing stand out, customer service establishes the difference.

    James, was our server. Let him lead and you follow, he won't steer you wrong. Valet wasn't expensive and they handled us with care. We set a reservation and we were a few moments late, but they were ready for us. The food and drinks are amazing. MAKE SURE you get the cornbread muffins. You won't regret it. If I could give 10 stars I would.

    We were really looking forward to this restaurant. Service was good, ambiance really nice, but the food was only average. My husband is a foodie and didn’t like anything. He said it seemed they put too much sugar even in the breads. Sadly, I don’t think we would ever go back

    Worst service I've had in years. Food was average and overpriced. Two people at our table ordered cokes. They each wanted a refill. Waiter brought each a can to refill the glasses and left the cans with remaining contents. Got the bill and each coke cost $5! The first round only included half the can! Imagine paying $20 for cokes for two. Will never go the By George again. Huge disappointment!

    Anniversary The location is easy to get to. The drinks were very tasty. The arugula, cauliflower salad was great. We shared that salmon, filet mignon broccolini corn oh, and that cornbread is really good.
