BV's Grill at Time Hotel
We have been to BV several times and always enjoy it. Jean Marie was our server on this visit...she was amazing. Warm, informative, anticipated our needs. However, for the first time we had a food issue. We ordered the porterhouse for three. It came as a porterhouse for two with a second thin steak. The second steak had no filet and was not porterhouse quality. As soon as I pointed it out to Jean Marie, she got us a petite filet, comped us coffee and a shared dessert. I will still return, but now armed with the knowledge that the porterhouse comes only in multiples of two!
Loved the bartenders. So warm and we welcoming! The bar food was EXCELLENT too.
For whatever reason, our waiter was in a rush. He managed to get almost every order wrong and it felt like we were kinda an inconvenience for the rest of his shift...
The food was good, and we were there to celebrate but we didn’t feel like it ended up being special or worth it...
Great service. Good food
Awesome spot- we will be going back at some point. Recommend having beef short ribs.
Waitstaff was so friendly and accommodating!
Great special occasion or business choice. Pricy for Rockland County but the porterhouse for two for $110 was excellent. Service was sporadic at best, maybe because it was Christmas Day?
No wonder the place is in bankruptcy. Basic food, poor service and stone cold coffee. Unbelievable!
The place was beautifully decorated and the food was good. Ended the night with a chocolate cappuccino which was made to perfection. The manager came around to check on our table which made us feel like he cared and that made the service even better
Not so good. Waiter was not helpful and food was just ehh. High prices and not a big selection.
Great night. Thank YOU! Best Manhattan EVER and the food and service were great.
Never brought out a candle for my fiancé’s birthday desert and I’ve requested it for my dinner reservation, server wasn’t friendly
Horrendous experience. Food was absolutely awful. Came out cold ... but more importantly the food preparation/presentation was downright embarrassing. Spent $660 for an experience I could’ve gotten at Outback for $125.
Didn’t get my 100 points and will need them posted to my account
Great food, and drinks will visit again!
Sitting outside on the patio on a beautiful summer evening can’t be beat. The hostess Cara is genuinely so warm and friendly. She makes you feel welcome right away. We also were welcomed by Yasir, the manager who could not do enough for our party.
There is both a large bar inside which Connects to another large bar and seating area outdoors. There is a special bar menu which overs a large selection of appetizers and casual food. The bartenders are all outstanding. Kenny, Joe, Peter and Sean all get to know their parents customers and will create any drink you’d like. The best part is when you come back they are quick to remember your name and drink of choice.
If you want fine dining that is offered both inside and outdoors. Some of my favorites are the tomahawk steak, pork chop and the lamb chops. All outstanding. JeanMarie and Fahim served us on our last 2 visits. Both were knowledgeable and on top of their game.
I highly recommend trying BV Grill at the Time Hotel. You will not regret it.
High expectations fell extremely flat. Food was good but the service was slow and inattentive. Took nearly 30 minutes for 2 coffees at end of meal with only 1 other table in restaurant! The prices warrant not only good food but good service and attention especially when the dining room had only 3 tables the entire time we were there (8-10 pm). Server made an error with our salad order which he didn't offer to correct, left his wine key and cork on table next to us, and as I already mentioned, took a half hour to get us coffees after dinner. Curious as to management awareness as there appeared to be no presence. Extremely let down.
The worst experience in a restaurant I have ever had in my life. They were out of stock of 2 appetizers only to be found out after ordering them. The third appetizer was bad and had to be returned. The waiter was nowhere to be found when I wanted a check. The check was wrong. Everything that could be wrong with this restaurant can be found. No wonder the hotel in which it's located within is filing for bankruptcy. STAY AWAY.........
Place can be very good for a business meet but I find for everyday the menu is expensive.
For location menu is too NYC priced.
Never disappointed when dining here; with helpful staff and most accommodating service it’s a great option in Rockland food scene.
First tine there, food was amazing. Only thing that I found odd was the guests had to walk through dining area to get to pool. Nonetheless, I will be back.
My mom was happy with the quality of food and ambiance on her special day! She was smiling from ear to ear! Thanks Guys!!!
Food was excellent...waiter was attentive and informative.
My family dined at BV’s Grill to celebrate Father’s Day. The commute was quick from across the TZ which was a plus since we normally in NYC. I was pleasantly surprised with the ambience as was my father! From the appetizers to the main course, we were very content! The crispy salmon was divine! I’ll definitely be making a return visit this summer! I also liked the barn door entrance into the lobby of the hotel establishment. This was a very good look outside of NYC for a place to enjoy a decent meal and decor!
Bobby Van's newest restaurant in Nyack in the Time hotel makes you feel like you're on vacation. The outdoor bar/eating section has a more casual menu (burgers, sandwiches, etc). INside you can find delicious steaks, chicken and fish. Very nice décor and makes you feel comfortable yet elegant.
Had another great dinner sitting outside on the patio. Our server Jean Marie is the best there is. Efficient and friendly. There is a new menu which just rolled out with some exciting new choices. Yasir, JP and Cara all make you feel so at home. And don’t forget to stop by the bar to see Kenny, Peter, Sean and Joe. Best bartenders in Rockland!
Waiting staff needs to organize themselves. I was asked by three different waiters if we wanted tap water or sparkling over 20mins, w/o taking my drink order. Too much time is spent by the waiting staff bumping into each other. I ordered a steak and had to wait 10mins to flag a waiter for a steak knife...I mean really? I ordered it Medium-Rare...my sons baby bottle had more juice then this piece of meat. I would not go back there for the food or service. Let alone the DJ was blasting music already making my conversation with my wife sound like I was calling plays at a football game.
Was not expecting it to be as good as it was. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. One of the best Veal Chops I’ve had in a long time.
The mussel appetizer was to die for. Everything else was just OK-- you expect more for the price. But serving sizes were fair. A nice little spot with outdoor seating and a bar.
Overpriced. For these prices, I expect great food and impeccable service. Food was ok. Service was awful. Manager was rude.
Overall restaurant is a good dining experience. I was surprised that when they offered a "Brunch for Mother's Day" the menu would have reflected more of a brunch. They basically gave a pre fix of the regular everyday menu. So while that was a bit disappointing, I will say that the service was good and the food served was very good.
Mothers Day. Was nice and food is very good. Menus could have featured more lunch options in the brunch. Was also pretty pricey. Overall good experience. Thank you.
Had a nice time looking to go back
Venue has good vibes. Itimate and yet chic and shuttle lighting. Food was good as well as the service.
Restauraunt seems to be ironing out service issues. Wait staff was very friendly but had trouble answering basic questions about items on the menu. About 20mins after ordering I’m told they are out of my selection. My wife’s entree arrive 15 mins late ( as we were nearly finished with our meals),there was no sign of a manager overseeing the operation and it always took a while to get the attention of anyone on the wait staff. The good news, while a little pricey, the food was excellent.
First time dining here and cannot wait to go back. The food and service were both excellent. My husband is still raving about the food. Very nice atmosphere, different than anything else Rockland County offers. Service was flawless. Bar area large and inviting.
Very disappointed...have eaten in NYC which was a great BV...this was horrible...food was bad, overpriced and would never go back again. Have been there 4 times and this last time was it. They need a good chef if they are going to charge those prices.
Better for 40 and up. Felt like a date meeting area or a tinder meet up place. More of an older crowd of people. Not for 35 and younger. If you do come here and your younger than 35, stay in your room or sit back and watch the old dance with the modern music. Pretty much a laugh and giggle fest.
Birthday dinner. Very nice
I took my boyfriend for his birthday. The atmosphere, food, and service were all fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and I would definitely return. I was 95% satisfied. The only negative was that the waitress asked if we wanted dessert and we declined because we were stuffed. Knowing it was my boyfriend’s birthday, they surprised us we a nice martini glass filled with berries and whipped cream with candles in it and sang to him. Wonderful surprise being that I didn’t even ask for that, but a day later I realized they charged us $11 on the bill for berries and cream. I’ll chalk it up to an oversight and let it go since the rest of the visit was lovely.
