Everything at Buya was amazing! I invited visiting business associates to a dinner here and it worked perfectly. The food was amazing. Most of the choices were small plates which allowed us to try many items and share them. Everything was delicious from the salad to the salmon sashimi to the yellowtail snapper to Japanese sweet potato. Nothing but rave reviews. The service was excellent also, they made great recommendations about what to order for a group of 6 and so we could try diverse dishes on the menu. The location is great in the heart of Wynwood with music and murals all around. Highly recommend.

The food was great and the staff so lovely. We went Saturday midday and it was more of a family vibe but we’re really looking forward to visiting again in the evening as I can see it being quite happening. What I especially appreciate is that the restaurant called me ahead of time to let me know that their selection of vegetarian dishes is on the smaller side and only like one vegan dish (I have these preferences on my OT profile). Then at the restaurant our server took the time to highlight the vegetarian dishes to me, it was such a thoughtful act. Add on their delicious $10 cocktails, which is quite inexpensive for this area, and they really have won my heart.

We went for the Miami Spice Chef’s Tasting menu but found this was not being offered so instead we opted to try a variety of menu items. The wagyu dishes, the Tokyo style corn, the short rib ramen, and the pork buns were all delicious. We had one of the sake cocktails and the ichiban beer, which were also good! The waiter was attentive and brought us some sake with our bill on the house. Overall, great quality food for a solid price.

While the food was very good, I was disappointed to see no one on the wait staff and no one in the kitchen wearing masks or gloves. Everyone looked young and reckless. This matches the vibe of the area but in a restaurant today, one looks for caution and cleanliness. They also have one bathroom only for the whole restaurant.

This is our second time, we went for the Miami Spice Lunch menu the first time and as we really liked it, we decided to try also the Miami Spice dinner menu which according to the website was designed as a chef tasting menu, unfortunately when we were there we found out that it had changed, so no more tasting menu, even though the Miami Spice website still has it as such, and it was a normal dinner menu which was very disappointing as we were looking forward to try it as described on the Miami Spice website.
We had the Karaage Chicken, the Pork Belly Buns, Wagyu, Yellowtail Snapper and Pork Belly, Short Rib Ramen and sesame ice-cream sandwiches to finish.
It was a lot of food and it was ok but, we were not in the mind set of having that so for us it was nothing special, at least they agreed to change from the sake pairing to a wine pairing which was with the original menu @buya.wynwood

It’s a really cute spot in the heart of Wynwood. We went during happy hour but no happy hour menu was offered. There isn’t any liquor but they do have a some cocktails and good wine and sake menu. The food was good though I thought slightly expensive for what we were getting. Also the prices online do not match the prices on their menu. The chicken karaage was good and so was the crispy hamachi, I’d recommend both.

Went on a day as Fridays were listed as having Miami spice lunch menu specifically for this option but upon arrival was advised it was not available.

The food was very good however did feel like it was a bait and switch of them offering Miami space lunch and then arriving to the restaurant and they are advising that it was not available.

I love this restaurant. My broccolini was excellent. I like the way they made it with the spices. The blistered shishito peppers and the charcoal Bok Choy were very tasty as well. The Short Ribs Bao Buns were excellent and finally, the Japanese ice cream sandwich was so nice! A really nice experience overall. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Generally when you go to restaurants especially for a promotion with Miami spice food is usually not that good and neither is the service the servers and the mangers. I will definitely be there again

The food was absolutely amazing. The average temperature in the restaurant was about 79 degrees here in the Miami summer heat. Beer, wine, and saki only. Would go again in the winter when the weather is cooler and hopefully the interior temperature is cooler. Great food and loved the Omakase menu.

Miami Spice should be a way for restaurants to showcase their food to diners, so they become regulars.
Portions were so small here it is hard to believe they sell this as a full meal. My main course was the beef skewer, for which you have to pay extra (misleadingly labeled as “skewers”, as if you were to get more than one). Literally 3 half inch cubes of steak with sauce on the side
For $30 for lunch plus drinks, tax and tip, I should not have been hungry for lunch…I mentioned something to the waiter who replied “people complained before it was too much food”. Really?!? That’s what you are going with?

The food was good, but the service and the time it took for the food to come was not right. Our reservation was at 8:00, we sat down and ordered Miami Spice. It is in the concept of tapas so there are several small plates. We ordered corn as one of our appetizers and we never got it. Had to ask several times, and even noticed the group on the table next to us got their corn earlier than us despite arriving much later than us. After asking about 3 times for the corn and being there for more than an hour we got it. We were there for a total of 3 hours, I spoke with our waitress Maria Fernanda and she explained the Miami Spice menu was supposed to be for a 1:30-2 meal. At this point we had already been there for more than 2 hours. I complained about the unfairness of the service and all I got were excuses. The group sitting next to us finished their Miami Spice meal and left before we did, despite arriving much later than us. Overall, the food was good but the service did not make it worth coming back to. We were forced to a 3 hour meal.

Buya Izakaya + Yakitori is a casual place where you can eat some comfort Japanese food, it is compared to an informal Japanese bar/pub but with great food. If you have not yet been you can try the Miami Spice lunch menu which is really good and definitely worth it.
First of all you don’t get just an appetizer, a main and dessert, we got 6 different dishes each, small size like a mini tasting menu but definitely enough food for us and the quality was great.
We had the Haru Tomato Salad, Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi, Short Rib Bao Ban, Broccolini and Charcoal Bok Choy, Yellowtail Snapper and to finish a Sesame ice cream sandwich, as I said, all really good and to go with it a bottle of Cinzano Prosecco 🥂
A lot of people complain about Miami Spice not having great options, well, let me tell you this is a great option, I will be going back to try the dinner menu too @buya.wynwood @cinzano.official

Buya shines big time with some dishes like the duck hot pot, tempura mushroom, kaarage chicken. I would have given it five stars but other dishes which I've had there before weren't five star this time ( rather, four star) like the bao buns (not much pork belly), seaweed salad and duck dumplings. With a little attention, they could do it so hope management is listening. In any case, it's worth a visit for sure.

Horrible service, took forever to get everything. They nerves tended to us other than taking our orders. We were there for two and half hours and the place was not that busy. When we did get our food the duck gyoza was gamy and salty, and the ramen was nothing special. I do not really recommend the place due to the overall service and food.

Rush don’t shout. Buya has by far the best value for money omakase in town. Yellowfin tuna, wagyu (A5), duck dumplings and much more. As a minimum, it deserves a Michelin Bib Gourmand right away. Hands down.

The food was good. It was a bit uncomfortable as the air conditioning didn’t seem to be working. Even the poor waitress was sweating. They had no rose left which is odd for Sunday brunch time and it was extremely quiet in the restaurant with only one other table.
