Buttons Food and Music-Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
The good was delicious but I was disappointed with the service.we were seated promptly because we had a reservation, but once seated no one came to take our orders, after about thirty minutes we grabbed a server and she attented to us.we were on the opposite side of band and the music could've been a little bit louder it would've been a perfect night. The band from Africa was awesome.
Went there for Thanks giving hoping for a special experience. We got one but a bad one. Food was missing and what was there was mediocre at best. Plates were gone and surly staff was not interested in keeping anything stocked. We had to ask for silverware, plates, drinks, and even food. Dessert was not from scratch for sure. Our waitress sat with another table and ignored our needs right across from us. We paid almost $200 for something that would have been better at Golden Corral at half the cost. So disappointed and feeling foolish and ripped off. Never again. Maybe partly because we were there at 6 but we paid the same as those there at noon so we should get the same service.
My husband and I went for Thanksgiving 2017. Didn't know what to expect because it was buffet style however the food was great; the servers were great; very enjoyable; If I had 1 complaint, I would say that the serving line was too long bc it wasn't on both sides. Because of the long line, areas were blocked (with people), but other than that, it was great.
Totally let down. I was expecting live music and there was none. Since it’s Thanksgiving, I was expecting a more elegant setup. The place was so crammed with tables that the entire time I had someone hitting my chair trying to pass through. The buffet was more diner food. I won’t be coming back. I was so disappointed.
I've been to Buttons for lunch and dinner several times, but this time it was a disappointment. I think they lowered the quality of the food for the Thanksgiving buffet due to the sheer amount of people they were trying to feed. I will be back--not for a holiday meal--but for their Sunday brunch. Their chicken and waffles are the best!
Visited for Thanksgiving brunch. Cream corn was beyond excellent and our waitress Noka? provided the most attentive service we have ever experienced. We were greeted by a very welcoming hostess. Unfortunately, the turkey was not a carving off a whole turkey. Instead it was sliced turkey loaf in a pan and overcooked prime rib was the carving option. Drink prices were very reasonable and atmosphere was upbeat. Manager did stop by our table to make sure we were ok. Our let down was our own fault because we did not make our annual reservation at the Gaylord Texan brunch early enough.
Had thanksgiving lunch at Buttons and cannot say enough good things about them. As usual, the food was excellent. The wait staff was cheery and attentive to our needs. The restaurant was full, but did not have crowded feel and the Xmas music streaming in background added to the ambiance!
Love love Buttons! My sister and niece were in town and I wanted to take them to a special place for brunch. Wow did Buttons fit the bill!! The buffet was fabulous with items ranging from breakfast to dinner. Catfish, jambalaya, French toast, roasted chicken, yummy desserts. Our server was so friendly and attentive but the favorite part?? Wanda the hostess with the mostest. You get the best hug of your life, a beautiful smile and full attention. She just makes your day. Go here as quickly as possible!
Dang tasty food. Server kind of disappeared near the end but such a minor thing. She was really busy - don't know if they were short-staffed that morning but she was definitely working hard. She was there when it mattered but don't plan on a quick meal here. For real, though, why would you? Stay. The brunch is worth it. Delicious and I'll definitely be back.
I previously read bad experiences, but Buttons used to be my go to. I haven't been in years, because I moved away. I didn't expect it to be the same, & it wasn't. Luckily we were seated right away. For their to be empty seats; I was surprised at how overwhelmed the staff appeared. Our waiter, Dominique, was super cool. His personality and interaction made the night. If it weren't for him; I would've been more disappointed. It was my fiancé's birthday. Buttons is known for their live music, & they were live. Of course, they are not the Chilites. I found them entertaining, & I was grateful there sets weren't too long. That might've been over kill. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was luke warm, at best. I sent it back & nothing was different. The consistency of the grits was soupy. There was one jumbo, if you want to call it that, shrimp. The popcorn shrimp were few and far between. The meal lacked seasoning and the richness that the Buttons' I used to know had. My fiancé's chicken and waffles had some sweet and savory flair. Overall, I'm in no hurry to visit soon, but I'll try & see (as the country folks would say) "if we can get that old thang back"
I live in Washington DC and stumbled across buttons visiting Dallas last year, I have come back to Dallas 4 times since then and have visited buttons EVERY time. Buttons is about a 50 minute drive from where I stay in Dallas, and I make that trip every single time because the food and atmosphere is unparalleled ! Live bands on Friday and Saturday nights are the icing on the cake
Always loved Buttons and the night scene, but now I'm in love with the brunch. Great tasting food and variety for the cost. I came in because, I received an email with a coupon to join Buttons for brunch. Make no mistake my husband and I will be back to indulge.
