Buttons is built around the idea that the ‘love of great food’ and ‘music’ are universal, the idea that diversity is beautiful and that all people have much in common. We strive to offer much more than a plate of great food…we create a great experience.View Private Dining Details
Great way to celebrate my birthday. A friend from out of town joined me and was very impressed with Buttons. Wow! the entertainer on Friday night was awesome, great voice, great music. I was happy that she sang songs that I could relate to and sing with! People enjoyed themselves and it was good to be in the crowd, fun evening. The food was great!. . . greens could have used a little less salt. God bless.
I'm from out of town. This was my 3rd time visiting this restaurant for brunch and the first two times was amazing... fabulous food, great service, good music. This third time, i came with other out of town friend which i recommended and the service was awful, the food was just Ok...I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed that i made the recommendation. I hope this was a one time situation.
Food was great! Our waitress disappeared, but others pitched in to make our day great! Loved it!
I booked a reservation for 845 and arrived about 5 minutes early. We were greeted by a crowd flowing out the door and the sounds of an r&b group blaring. We were told that there were 7 parties to be seated before us. We were finally seated at about 925. Honestly, if I make reservations, I expect to be seated promptly. The reservations were made early, not last minute. When we were finally seated, it was at a high top in the bar area right next to the restrooms. We were told that those were reserved tables, but during the middle of our meal we watched people sit right down next to us without reservations or being on the wait list. We informed our waitress and the assistant manager who had brought our food and then, they took those people’s order. Now to the food. Luckily, the band went on break when our food was arriving so at least we could eat without the blaring of poorly executed rhythm & blues. We had the fried green tomatoes to start. There were three of us eating and the waitress explained that the dish was small so we might want to order 2 so everyone could try it. I wanted everyone to try so we ordered 2. There were three slices of tomato on each plate so one would have been plenty. The tomato was under seasoned and the dish was overcomplicated. The tomatoes were covered with ham slices and an over easy egg and they laid on top of a gravy that was the highlight of the dish. It seemed upside down. The tomato should be the star. Entrees: I had the shrimp, fish, and grits. My friends had the oxtails and pot roast. There were two large shrimp on my dish accompanied with three fillets of fried fish that I’m pretty sure wasn’t farm raised. It was fried nicely, but fishy. There was also a creole style shrimp sauce that contained salad size shrimp. The grits were watery as opposed to creamy and the entire dish was topped with, you guessed it, an over easy egg. The oxtails needed more gravy and pot roast was average at best. I’m from Nola. I expect better. I say boo
My group had a wonderful time and enjoyed the delicious food and live music. The only downside was the woman who escorted us to our table was repeatedly rude to us. Still worth the experience!
The Server was very professional and serve us with a smile.
The seating was backed up even with a reservation but we where seated. The waitress Was new so that didn't go to well but my group and I aren't up tight people so we overall enjoyed ourselves the manager Brian was awesome.....
Loved the food and the band rocked. The hostess was a bit pushy. I understand the preferred 2 hour dining experience guidance, but we can only go as fast as the service.
Came down for my sisters wedding and to enjoy the New Year
Usually we come for dinner but decided to come for brunch. I must say everything was wonderful. Lots of food choices and our server was very good.
Great as always! Great music and even better food!
We made reservations for 2:00 pm for a Birthday Party of 6, and we did not get seated until 3:30 pm. It appears reservations aren't held as we and a few other parties that had reserved seating all had to wait to until other patrons were done eating. The hostess was rude, tacky, short and frustrated with us for asking when we would be seated. I did not see a manager in sight as other people were frustrated as well.
The food was cold and had been sitting for quite sometime. Our waitress on the other hand was great. This experience left us all extremely angry and frustrated, and sadly we will not be back.
Let's just say they were having a very bad day.
We had a very good time. Our visit was a "First Time Date". The food was excellent, service was good, the only downfall was we were seated in front row tables across from the band. Being it was a date we had a hard time hearing each other. After dinner we moved to the bar area and continued our night their and it was a good choice to move instead of leaving Buttons. :)
Our food was delicious -- several of us split meals, which was a good idea because the portions were large. They were busy and a little shorthanded but our waiter was very nice and attentive.
i really enjoy my myself at Buttons but felt like i was wayyyyy over charged for food and drinks. I had a emergency and had to leave early so i asked for my ticket and was charged over 240.00 for three entrees and five drinks. i love this place but kinda felt dupped on my birthday with friends and family.
Great place for food and music. Service needs some work.
Obviously a family business which lacked some of the details focusing on Customer Service.
Food was Amazing. After checking in had to remind host that my party of 2 was still waiting to be seated. Table was not prepared; however the Server did go out of his to way to explain and accommodate. Seating was congested and not suitable for all parties to observe live entertainment or enjoy the meal with being bumped into when customers and staffed passed. Had to request silverware twice. There was not enough printed drink menus, which was passed around to several times without being wiped down, especially during this season. Cornbread arrived several minutes after the entrees. “I don’t get that I want my entire order at one time.” The House Rules of Business Casual dress code was not enforced and In this environment I had to witness “sagging” faded blue jeans with athletic shoes. I enjoyed what I could see of the live entertainment. It’s a 60% to 40% that I will return.
Very pleasant way to spend the evening with your love
The Sunday Brunch Buffet was so good, they killed the greens. The $2 happhour drinks wre the the bomb. The dessert was great to, feels good listemn the the Jazz Band during Brunch. I always took visitors from out of town here.
Poor reservation system. Poor service from Hostess. Good food but not that good. Came here years ago and thought it would be better by now. Still the same. So unfortunate!
The good was delicious but I was disappointed with the service.we were seated promptly because we had a reservation, but once seated no one came to take our orders, after about thirty minutes we grabbed a server and she attented to us.we were on the opposite side of band and the music could've been a little bit louder it would've been a perfect night. The band from Africa was awesome.
Went there for Thanks giving hoping for a special experience. We got one but a bad one. Food was missing and what was there was mediocre at best. Plates were gone and surly staff was not interested in keeping anything stocked. We had to ask for silverware, plates, drinks, and even food. Dessert was not from scratch for sure. Our waitress sat with another table and ignored our needs right across from us. We paid almost $200 for something that would have been better at Golden Corral at half the cost. So disappointed and feeling foolish and ripped off. Never again. Maybe partly because we were there at 6 but we paid the same as those there at noon so we should get the same service.
Delicious food for our family Thanksgiving meal. No live music during our visit but the gumbo was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their food. The girls loved the Mac & Cheese and the tasty desserts. Prime Rib and the black eyed peas were the husbands favorite.
My husband and I went for Thanksgiving 2017. Didn't know what to expect because it was buffet style however the food was great; the servers were great; very enjoyable; If I had 1 complaint, I would say that the serving line was too long bc it wasn't on both sides. Because of the long line, areas were blocked (with people), but other than that, it was great.
Totally let down. I was expecting live music and there was none. Since it’s Thanksgiving, I was expecting a more elegant setup. The place was so crammed with tables that the entire time I had someone hitting my chair trying to pass through. The buffet was more diner food. I won’t be coming back. I was so disappointed.
I've been to Buttons for lunch and dinner several times, but this time it was a disappointment. I think they lowered the quality of the food for the Thanksgiving buffet due to the sheer amount of people they were trying to feed. I will be back--not for a holiday meal--but for their Sunday brunch. Their chicken and waffles are the best!
Visited for Thanksgiving brunch. Cream corn was beyond excellent and our waitress Noka? provided the most attentive service we have ever experienced. We were greeted by a very welcoming hostess. Unfortunately, the turkey was not a carving off a whole turkey. Instead it was sliced turkey loaf in a pan and overcooked prime rib was the carving option. Drink prices were very reasonable and atmosphere was upbeat. Manager did stop by our table to make sure we were ok. Our let down was our own fault because we did not make our annual reservation at the Gaylord Texan brunch early enough.
Had thanksgiving lunch at Buttons and cannot say enough good things about them. As usual, the food was excellent. The wait staff was cheery and attentive to our needs. The restaurant was full, but did not have crowded feel and the Xmas music streaming in background added to the ambiance!
No music on Sunday night, and that is not cool. I have been their twice and never had heard a band yet. You get their to early and no band. You go on a Sunday night no band. I had people to come from Los Angela’s they want led to see something different
Simple amazing, good music, delicius food, grate service, if you love jazz, food and drinks this is your place
Date Night: going for dinner and live music, I think I made reservations to early, but I enjoyed playlist, no room for dancing...it just wasn't what I expected.
This was a really nice spot to have dinner and listen to music, that actually becomes live entertainment after 8pm.
I had the worst service ever from this restaurant. I did not get my food until 1 hour 39 minutes.
Great place for live music. Food was good, just a tad cold. OPP drink is the best. Wine selection is not to my palate taste. Waitress was very accommodating and helpful! Will be back next week :)
Was not up to it’s normal standards. I was disappointed.
Friendly service, great meal options and fantastic mixed drinks!
It was a nice experience great food great service. I just wish happy hour had a live band for the early birds to enjoy. My elders wanted to hear the band but they start to late
Good food, good music, good service, good atmosphere, great value
