Buttons Food and Music-Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
Food was great and no substitute for Southern / Soul Food. Had the Meatloaf, 10 different side brought to the table, hush puppies and corn bread for sure, fried cat fish and ox tails and lived large for about and hour or so.
Button's hit the spot and drove home the great taste of good down home cooking - "southern Style" - Cabbage was best ever had and took home 2 additional sides for a late night snack.
Ft Worth location Will be back and live large once again for sure.
I had a 9pm reservation in which I confirmed several times but was told I would need to wait to be seated. This was a very special occasion for my birthday and several times was pusged aside when I asked about why I was waiting. We weren't seated until 10:40 and by then were were very exhausted. Our waiter made our dining experience worth it. With finding us a table to fit us all. They first seated us in a both with 9 people.
Overall I wouldn't return.
Live music was INSANELY LOUD. Impossible to talk with others. Wings were good. Calamari horrible, not sure what it was but it was not calamari. Chicken and waffles serving plentiful but bland. No busboys so the poor waiter does everything which really slows down service. I will not return. I called to add one more to our group of 6 and was told that they could not accommodate but there were plenty of empty tables when we arrived. Never a good idea to turn away business.
I took my daughter to Buttons for the first time to see her Daddy play in the Band Legacy 4. She really enjoyed it and said that she would recommend it to her friends. I have gone several times with my girlfriends and we always enjoy it with or without a band.
We went specfically for fried green tomatoes, so were disappointed to learn that we could not order what we wanted. We just had the breakfast buffet (also not what we wanted). What we had was okay, just not what we really wanted. I did not see any of that mentioned when I made reservations. Service was outstanding though.
My husband and I dined at Buttons for his birthday. It was a very soulful and laid back atmosphere. The crowd was mixed and there was a lovely bad playing throughout our meal. The food portions were large and the food was delicious. I recommend this restaurant.
Had a special occassion and found this gem through Open Table; Great food! There was jazz band Wednesday evening that completely complemented my romantic dining experience. However it looked like a place to come later in the evening for drinks and great music. Highly recommend this place.
I've been hearing about Button's for quite some time now, and my wife has been dying to go. Well it was her birthday this past weekend, so we went on the night prior to her actual birthday. She loved it. I let them know that it was her birthday and that I just wanted her to feel special. There were pink roses on our table and the service was awesome. The manager even came over to tell her Happy Birthday. We had a great time.
The atmosphere is very warm and whimsical at the same time. We'll definitely be going back.
We had dinner at Buttons on a Tuesday in August 2013. The service was boarder line bad, but I've had worse. The food was actually really good. What disappointed me more than than the service and fact there was no music on this particular night is we had to listen to an organized time share sales pitch for over an hour to a group who was probably there to claim their new car or large sum of money they were told they were eligible to receive by listening to a "short" presentation on vacation properties. I am of the opinion restaurants owe it to paying customers to let them know this type of activity is scheduled when they book reservations.
After a grueling few days of back to school meetings, my husband and I were delighted to reward ourselves with dinner at Buttons. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Being able to get 25% off our tab because we were teachers just made it a "great reward."
Wow! can't believe I have missed this scene in Fort Worth! Slow night (Wed.). Rachel Avonne a special treat. Enjoyed the dancing of the two Arthur Murray students! Spicy wings were killer. Gumbo appetizer ok, but too small a serving to experience all the ingredients. Fried mushrooms could have been from Dairy Queen or Sams Club. Very generic and bland.
Waiter was unattentive or not trained properly, but this happens on slow nights sometimes. They seen to do a better job when focused and don't have time to mess with other waiters and waitresses!
Overall a fun evening. I'll check it out again.
We were traveling from out of town and just happened into this great place to eat, listen to music and simply have a good time. The staff was friendly and accomodating, the music was a nice mix of jazz and blues and the food was excellent! Great homestyle meals. Thank you!
WE LOVED IT ! The Maitre' D was excellent, friendly and professional. The waiter was very friendly, gave great recommendations and was knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant "rules". He was very attentive to us and took great care that we were happy and comfortable with our food and experience. The bar tenders were friendly and very polite. The music was great and the LIVE MUSIC was the BEST !!! We will definitely be back again and will also try the Sunday brunch !!!
My reservation was for two Saturday at 5. I wanted to eat there for my birthday, but the only time available was five. We arrived at 4:55 and were politely and quickly seated, but then no one ever came by to take a drink order or anything. It was not crowded at that time probably 15 people in the whole place. At 5:15 I went to the front to inform the host that we had not been waited on. A waitress came to us within a couple of minutes and took our order it then took 10 minutes to get our drinks. The food came in a timely matter and was very good. I had asked for water but never received it. I have been there when it was very crowded and received better service. I guess they were not ready.
