We had a a wonderful time celebrating my Birthday at this location. The food was great and the live entertainment was wonderful! The staff was very attentive as well. I would definitely be going again and will recommend this place to my family and friends.
The music was way too loud fir a dining restaurant... food was not that great my friend got sick from the shrimp n grits the wings were average.. really not impressed and not worth a long drive from Dallas .. maybe a neighborhood spot for people over 50 but not trendy at all
Very impressed with both the atmosphere and the food! Will be back for more! Service was just a little slow but the place was packed and the waitor was definitely taking on several customers. The atmosphere was so good that the wait wasn't that big of a deal! Can't believe I had never heard of this place.
Food, service and entertainment were great! We will be back!
My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary there. The food was delicious and Tasha was all smiles and accommodating. The live music was off the chain.
The food was good, but it took a long time and we never did get the ordered appetizer. The server was slow and very unorganized for the amount a people he was serving.
This place was good for the live music an food I was looking for
Food was excellent however my waitress bought over the tickets and attempted to keep everyone’s change for her tips instead of letting everyone tip
The quality of this place has gone down. From the food to the staff. I haven't been in years and want go back.
Hostess sat us promptly. We had our 7 yr old with us, and the hostess said the server will have the kids menu. Server came, we asked about said menu, and he exclaimed, I dont know nothin about no kid menu. We asked who does know. He went and got another person who said she was trying to go off of memory, and rattles off two selections. The whole thing was so awkward.
For this to be a nice place, our booth seats had black duct tape holding the ripped up parts together. From then on, service was spotty as hell, and we simply waNTED to leave.
I have been here in this places heyday. Those times are OVER!
Great food and loved the live music at Sunday brunch. Depending on where seated, it can be difficult to hear others talking, so I wouldn't chose this venue if conversation is critical to your dinner. Perfect for music lovers and groups who want to have a good time. There were lots of families with kids and groups celebrating birthdays. I suggest reservations for brunch or could have a bit of a wait. Defiantly going back!
I drove from Austin with some friends. We order the Roasted Chicken with dressing. We were very unhappy with our meal. The waiter was very nice! But, He kept telling us how long we can sit at the table.
We enjoyed our meal, and the service was outstanding. I accidentally left my new sunglasses there on a Sat night, and when I called the next day Miss Wanda said she had them waiting for me. She made my day! Buttons was a very good experience overall!
This place is very casual. Could use some updating on the furniture. Also, menus need to be updated if you no longer serve certain dishes or if they are prepared differently. The Mac n’ cheese was dry. The home potatoes were too greasy.
Went for Sunday brunch! It was amazing! Jazz was playing! Really enjoyed!
It was my boyfriend’s birthday, we were seated right when we got there for our reservation the only thing we had issue with was the server. She was a little forgetful and slow.
One of my favorites for soul food. The food is outstanding, drinks are great and the waitstaff is always fun & friendly!
Made my Anniversary Special!
Server was professional. Food was delicious but need to update their appetizer options.
I believe we came on the wrong day. Everything we ordered off the menu we were told they don't have. Selection was scarce. I have gone before and enjoyed myself. I will come back any way again.
Food was subpar. Service was slow.
The food and atmosphere was excellent. Great service. Our server was new but did a good job under the direction of the senior server. Heard a little music which was wonderful too!!!
Button's does not honor reservations. What's the point of using OpenTable to reserve a table, drive an hour in the rain, arrive early, wait 1 hour after arrival, and STILL NOT have a table. Ridiculous.
Amazing food & the music was incredible! That in itself is worth going again. But the two things that could be better were service (not enough servers for the crowd so it took too long to get something). Also, the band played short sets took too long of a break. They were fabulous though!
Our server was fast efficient and friendly. She made sure we had what we needed in enough time to not have to wait long. The silly Philly cheese steak was delicious and cooked just right! Being from Philly this was close...may suggest cheese whiz as an alternate. I normally get the pot roast, in which I did to take home for dinner was a bit tough to chew this time usually it is very tender and requires little effort to chew. Suggest cooking that pot roast a little longer and adding more gravy. Overall, good spot to enjoy even on a rainy day.
Buttons is an excellent restaurant to enjoy dining and live music. The restaurant is clean and people generally are dressed well for dining out which adds to the overall experience. I would have given my dining experience a five star, but we had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seated at a table that had been reserved. Overall, my birthday party group had a great time. Thank you for helping to make my night special!
It'll be a long time before we return to this restaurant. When we first started dining here, and we've been here several times (one in which I fell ill from eating their over cooked cabbage greens), it was so much fun. Patrons were dressed appropriately for the venue and it was adult oriented. Now, people are coming in shorts, jeans, flip flops and socks, and other attire not fitting for this type of restaurant and bringing small children. If it was in the day light hours I probably wouldn't have such an issue, but this was after 7pm when the band was playing and the adult atmosphere was in full swing. They don't have as many menu choices as they used to have either so our dining experience alone was dissappointing. We were totally disappointed with everything but our server and the band. I hope they get it together and get back to what made them the "go to" spot for adult dining and entertainment. Word of mouth can kill your business and if someone asks me, I am definitely going to honestly tell them of our experience. If we ever go back, I will take photos.
Celebrated a birthday. They have a $5 entry fee/pp, they automatically add to the ticket, which is crazy!
My family and I really enjoyed Buttons. I did not give a five star because we were not aware we had a 2 hour limit at our table. We went on a Saaturday night. There were 4 in our party. A rude host came up to us stating we would have to leave the table because she needed to seat others. I was thrown off and my guest were too. They were here visiting from MS. Our waitress was extremely kind and found seats for us at the bar since we were told others needed to be seated at our table. There were others seated on the floor that were there before us, but she came to our table and told us we needed to leave. Any who we didn't let that disappoint our night. I recommend you make reservations in advance on a Friday or Saturday night! The band was awesome! The food was great! I had the salmotine dish. Keep in mind the 2 hour limit and you won't be disappointed. Also, $5 is added as an entertainment fee if you are there after 8. Hope this helps!
Always a good time for a date night with my fiancé. Food was delicious and service was great!
I had been hearing about the brunch, and was not able to attend when my church choir had sung there.
We were there celebrating my sister's birthday, and left with a smile on our face.
They have brunch menu, but you can also order a select few of their signature dishes.
We got there right at Noon, so we only got to hear a little of the band, which started asking 1:30.
I really enjoyed the Addison’s location better than Fort Worth. It had a much better ambiance and the music was sooooo much better. We sat at the bar and the service wasn’t good at all. We waited for drinks and food and our bartender kept going outside to smoke with other people. There was a live band that was ok but the bands in Addison were awesome!! I think the overall experience was not good. I really wished it was since we drove all the way from Dallas for it. It is definitely not worth the drive.
Good food and good atmosphere and band was good as well!!
I would recommend making a reservation for around 7 pm place fills up fast.
We are from Milwaukee,wi. I was in Texas on vacation for my birthday. My husband had chicken and waffles I had fried chicken wings. Our food was really good.
As always Buttons hit the spot! The Sunday Brunch was awesome and my husband had chicken and waffles which are always great! We made reservations and had less than 5 minutes wait! Great service! Will definitely be returning soon!
Loyal Full Attention Band featuring Paul Cannon fans who decided to come out and support the guys. Also the food and drinks was outstanding our server Sean was excellent he took care of us. We met the owner/ operator and had a pleasant conversation outside on the patio.
We enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. The band that was playing was really good, too. Looking forward to going back.
Worst experience! I have visited this restaurant several times over the years and it has been great! It has been a year or so since I’ve visited and I must say, it has gone down hill! We made a reservation for 9:15pm and there was chaos at the hostess stand. People who had made reservations had been waiting more than an hour to be seated, which made my husband and I nervous. Our wait was about 30min but there was some confusion when it came to our table. The hostess left us standing in the middle of the dining area without instruction. My husband and moved over to the wall and out of the way. We waited for about 5-7min as they tried to figure out the issue. We thought about being seated as we only came for the live music and peach cobbler to close out our date night. After being seated we were greeted by our server who seemed as though she was rushed. It took a while for her to bring our water and we quickly ordered our cobbler in fear of her rushing away. She brought the cobbler after 10min and dropped it on the table as if she had an attitude. We noticed there was no ice cream on it so it took another 10min to flag her down to ask why. She then informed us that the ice cream machine was broken and had been for about 2 weeks. I’m from the south so peach cobbler isn’t the same without ice cream. Why couldn’t she tell us that when we ordered?! I asked for a box and the check and we left. The cobbler was great once I got home and put ice cream on it! Unless something changes, we will not be back.
While the new jazz band, Natural Change, was excellent and food was good, the service was lacking
Would like to see a cut off for children. It seems strange to see kids in the restaurant at 10:00 pm listening to live music.
