Buttons Food and Music-Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
This is a place to enjoy when you're not in a rush. I've made 2 reservations for after 8pm thus far. Both times I've checked in 15 min prior and waited over 30 min past my reservation time. There isn't much seating in the waiting area. If you stand outside you run the risk of getting passed over. The hostess calls your name from her (both times) booth which is inside. Both times I've come, there have been at least 20 ppl waiting to be seated. The food for 2 comes out quickly. The food to my husband and me has been okay. We definitely favor the fried chicken over other dishes. Both of the desserts that I ordered were half eaten....not to my liking. Not sure about the food time for large groups. The atmosphere is GREAT for a mature hangout place. I will definitely return for the atmosphere; not so much for the food.
I went their for the first time on a date and it made my date feel great shud I say special she was in aww and the atmoshere was great it was good vibe and u could hold a conversation with no problem and the servers were great upbeat and friendly and willing to help and explain the menu. The music shud I say was even better that it just set the mood for a great romantic evening and needless to say I am not a romantic but this night I shud say thank u (Buttons)for that this evening I was the romantic , even my girlfriend was impressed but lastly even better was the food WOW it was awesome..I will definitely be going back!!
I enjoyed my visit to this restaurant on more than one occasion. Some of the menu items changed but the menu was not updated so I was a little disappointed when they server was telling that certain options were no longer available. In the future, I hope the menu is updated so that customers can know exactly what the are getting for their money. The entertainment was great!
I have always enjoyed buttons in the past. Good food music and dancing if you would like to. When i made reservations I requested to be close to the band. When we came in we were literally sat by the door with people coming in blocking our view. I had told the hostess that I had requested a table close to the band and would have appreciated a call to let me know that would not be possible before I ggo t there since they had a large party coming. The host just rudely told me it was what it was and they large party took precedence without regard for our needs. The manager came up to us and said and acted the same way. I did not feel valued as a customer. However we did have a lovely waitress that was very attentive and treated us well. The food was good as well. I just feel like we were put in the back and our experience was not what it could have been if we could actually see the band. I would have honestly taken my friends elsewhere if I had known where we would be placed.
Great way to celebrate my birthday. A friend from out of town joined me and was very impressed with Buttons. Wow! the entertainer on Friday night was awesome, great voice, great music. I was happy that she sang songs that I could relate to and sing with! People enjoyed themselves and it was good to be in the crowd, fun evening. The food was great!. . . greens could have used a little less salt. God bless.
I'm from out of town. This was my 3rd time visiting this restaurant for brunch and the first two times was amazing... fabulous food, great service, good music. This third time, i came with other out of town friend which i recommended and the service was awful, the food was just Ok...I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed that i made the recommendation. I hope this was a one time situation.
I booked a reservation for 845 and arrived about 5 minutes early. We were greeted by a crowd flowing out the door and the sounds of an r&b group blaring. We were told that there were 7 parties to be seated before us. We were finally seated at about 925. Honestly, if I make reservations, I expect to be seated promptly. The reservations were made early, not last minute. When we were finally seated, it was at a high top in the bar area right next to the restrooms. We were told that those were reserved tables, but during the middle of our meal we watched people sit right down next to us without reservations or being on the wait list. We informed our waitress and the assistant manager who had brought our food and then, they took those people’s order. Now to the food. Luckily, the band went on break when our food was arriving so at least we could eat without the blaring of poorly executed rhythm & blues. We had the fried green tomatoes to start. There were three of us eating and the waitress explained that the dish was small so we might want to order 2 so everyone could try it. I wanted everyone to try so we ordered 2. There were three slices of tomato on each plate so one would have been plenty. The tomato was under seasoned and the dish was overcomplicated. The tomatoes were covered with ham slices and an over easy egg and they laid on top of a gravy that was the highlight of the dish. It seemed upside down. The tomato should be the star. Entrees: I had the shrimp, fish, and grits. My friends had the oxtails and pot roast. There were two large shrimp on my dish accompanied with three fillets of fried fish that I’m pretty sure wasn’t farm raised. It was fried nicely, but fishy. There was also a creole style shrimp sauce that contained salad size shrimp. The grits were watery as opposed to creamy and the entire dish was topped with, you guessed it, an over easy egg. The oxtails needed more gravy and pot roast was average at best. I’m from Nola. I expect better. I say boo
We made reservations for 2:00 pm for a Birthday Party of 6, and we did not get seated until 3:30 pm. It appears reservations aren't held as we and a few other parties that had reserved seating all had to wait to until other patrons were done eating. The hostess was rude, tacky, short and frustrated with us for asking when we would be seated. I did not see a manager in sight as other people were frustrated as well.
The food was cold and had been sitting for quite sometime. Our waitress on the other hand was great. This experience left us all extremely angry and frustrated, and sadly we will not be back.
We had a very good time. Our visit was a "First Time Date". The food was excellent, service was good, the only downfall was we were seated in front row tables across from the band. Being it was a date we had a hard time hearing each other. After dinner we moved to the bar area and continued our night their and it was a good choice to move instead of leaving Buttons. :)
i really enjoy my myself at Buttons but felt like i was wayyyyy over charged for food and drinks. I had a emergency and had to leave early so i asked for my ticket and was charged over 240.00 for three entrees and five drinks. i love this place but kinda felt dupped on my birthday with friends and family.
Obviously a family business which lacked some of the details focusing on Customer Service.
Food was Amazing. After checking in had to remind host that my party of 2 was still waiting to be seated. Table was not prepared; however the Server did go out of his to way to explain and accommodate. Seating was congested and not suitable for all parties to observe live entertainment or enjoy the meal with being bumped into when customers and staffed passed. Had to request silverware twice. There was not enough printed drink menus, which was passed around to several times without being wiped down, especially during this season. Cornbread arrived several minutes after the entrees. “I don’t get that I want my entire order at one time.” The House Rules of Business Casual dress code was not enforced and In this environment I had to witness “sagging” faded blue jeans with athletic shoes. I enjoyed what I could see of the live entertainment. It’s a 60% to 40% that I will return.
The good was delicious but I was disappointed with the service.we were seated promptly because we had a reservation, but once seated no one came to take our orders, after about thirty minutes we grabbed a server and she attented to us.we were on the opposite side of band and the music could've been a little bit louder it would've been a perfect night. The band from Africa was awesome.
