    Buttermilk & Bourbon is one of my favorite restaurants -- the food is always delicious, there is something for everyone, and the flavor combinations are outstanding. I always bring out-of-town visitors here, and they loved it too! Our favorites are the mac & cheese and the biscuits, and we add oysters too sometimes!

    From sitting down to us leaving everything was outstanding. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. If you like foods that out Of the norm this place fits the bill. Prices were very reasonable considering the location.

    Food bland and salty. Chicken dipper worse than a poor kfc. Absolutely awful . Mac cheese was dire. Calamari ok but far too salty. Avoid.

    Drinks took 30+ mins.. came out after our food. Food was great despite the chicken not being fully cooked in our chicken and waffles entree. Server was very pleasant when she was around, which was not a lot.

    Fun decoration and atmosphere, but found all four of the dishes we ordered were too salty. Good for tapas/appetizers as most of the dishes there are small and not entree sized.

    This was probably my fourth time here and it was a disappointment. The drinks & food were all mid - and that's probably giving too much credit. I ordered an old fashioned. I got a glass of bourbon with a cherry. I asked for a little simple syrup and orange and for some kind of syrup that had alcohol in it - Totally changed the flavor of the drink. The "orange" I got was the peel from a half slice of orange. Clearly the "bartenders" don't know how to make basic cocktails. The second drink I got as a replacement was even worse. It was topped with a peach ale - has fresh mint in it but it tasted like a very watered down mojito. My friend had the wings. They were supposed to be "Nashville Hot" and that's all they were. Hot work no actual flavor. I also had the arugula blackberry salad. It was a bowl of arugula with a few pistachios and some goat cheese and maybe 4 berries. I subbed the honey Dijon and asked for the clementine vinaigrette instead - I should have kept the honey mustard. I detected not one hint of clementine or any other sour flavor. Just olive oil. I will give them credit for the dessert. The peach cobbler bread pudding was yummy, as were the beignets. Oh, and my other friends French fries were hot & perfectly salted. I'm confused how you can offer southern type food with so little flavor. The service staff could use a lot of training. One stopped by our table a few times and never removed the empty plate. We had to chase down our server more than once. I don't know what happened here but this was a miss.

    We were excited to finally dine at Buttermilk and Bourbon. The atmosphere was great! Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The food was good, but not outstanding. The service was terrible. Our reservation was for 8:00pm. We waited 25 minutes for the hostess to wipe down a table on the patio and seat us. We waited 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order and had to flag her down to take our food order. We let her know we were ready for the check and waited 15 minutes. We went to the hostess to ask for the check and waited another 5 minutes, as they called out her name. Finally, another waitress found our bill and took our payment.

    Food and drinks were very good. Small plates are actually really good size though. Buffalo street corn was 10-10!! Waiter was not to engaged but I think we were at the end of the brunch service.

    Family of 7 came in for a Sweet 16. Server was very kind and knowledgeable. Food was hot and ready! Drinks freshly squeezed and ice...They even gave my daughter a cup of mocha ice cream w/a lit candle for her BD! It was amazing! My husband and I are already reserving for our anniversary later this month! This time just two and lots of grownup drinks!❤️

    The portions were very small and the folks from my party who got the fried chicken didn't get anything else with their meal. No fries, or veggies, just a plate of chicken, which I thought was odd. The menu doesn't say tapas or anything, it just says Dinner.

    Great spot! Super yummy food. Only complaint is the French onion dip was multiple servings and it was served with a prepackaged small bag of chips that serves less than 1 person and costs $3 for additional bags. Otherwise yummy food!

    We ate this past Sunday at Buttermilk and Bourbon. It was great! I had the House Special which is chicken thighs and waffles. Warning: the portion was large enough to feed two people! My table companions had the peach French toast and the brisket with sweet potatoes. Both were excellent! A visit to this restaurant would not be complete without their signature biscuits. They are truly delicious and come with two different spreads: one sweet and one savoury. Service was friendly, accommodating and timely. We enjoyed our visit and we hope to return some day. Highly recommend.

    Excellent restaurant! Brought my friends from out of town and they loved it! Outstanding service, our waitress Elsa was phenomenal! Cool ambiance, patio gives a good feel for the city life. My faves crab cake, ribs and the biscuits. We will coming back 😎

    Based on reviews and walking by this sweet restaurant I was really looking forward to dining here on our last night in Boston. The food was fine, not exceptional. Although the biscuits were amazing! They were the best thing about our meal. We also had the fried chicken, boneless thighs, and shrimp. Our server was impersonal, fast bringing food by very slow on our drink refills. Our food was gone before our second drinks arrived. The wait staff outside on the patio all looked like they were not enjoying themselves and not genuine in the least. This place will definitely not be on my list of restaurants to return to on my next visit to Boston.

    I love this place, that was why I brought my out-of-town friends this time. But the restaurant needs to do something with the step that is dividing the patio in the middle. It was dark when I am done with dinner and I fell down badly ended up bleeding.
