The food was quite good - interesting flavors, fresh herbs, well presented. Frankly our least favorite dish (we ordered a dozen for 4 people) was the fried chicken thighs! In our view, a major strategic error was not bringing us our drinks in advance of the food - food arrived first which is weird and likely caused a couple in our party not to order a second drink. Drinks were great too.

We loved everything about Buttermilk and Bourbon! Fun menu, fantastic server, excellent food and presentation. Great bar service, they prepared a very tasty custom mocktail based on my flavor preferences. We will be back soon!

The food was really yummy. Not my favorite menu as there is a lot of meat, but everything we ate was quite good. Nice service, too. The tables are a bit long so it can be hard to hear your fellow diner.

Tapas style small plates - but lots of great food. We had biscuits (excellent), ribs(very good), burrata and beets/peaches ( my wife said v-good- I hate beets!!), fried chicken with sweet n spicy sauce ( thighs) excellent. Good wine list and drink choices. Excellent server Jasmine took care of our every need and made great suggestions. Hope to go again some day.

The service was poor. Brought out the steaks but didn’t bring steak knives. We had to ask for them. Also had to ask for water constantly. The food was brought out piecemeal. Mains were brought out before the starter and only 2 mains were brought out instead of all 5. Definitely a different experience compared to the same restaurant in Back Bay.

Most of the food was excellent with the exception of the heirloom tomato salad which was droopy, soft with an uninspiring dressing. My favorite dish was the PEI mussels with frites. That sauce is amazing (I suggest good bread to sop up the sauce and make sure you have spoons on the table!). The fresh, hot beignets for dessert were a treat. I rarely order dessert, but I will definitely be back for the beignets.

An extraordinary dining experience as we made our maiden voyage to Buttermilk & Bourbon… reminiscent of our Bourbon Street travels in New Orleans many years ago!!! The Sunday brunch will have you returning again and again… our server Mimi was an absolute gem!!! Our palates danced as we ate Honey Glazed Biscuits, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Thighs with Waffles, Blueberry Pancakes topped with a lemon Chantilly Cream w/ a sprig of mint, jalapeño grits, eggs, bacon and Black Pepper Home Fries… and a full bodied Coffee that will transport you to Cafe du Monde in New Orleans!!!!

Whether you’re shopping at Arsenal yards or not, this is a great place to grab a bite to eat. Have been here several times, and the food never disappoints however, this last time we were there it was a Saturday night and quite busy and the service was a little rushed. Nice atmosphere whether you’re eating outside or in.

The biscuits and honey butter were delicious. Every thing else was meh: boneless thighs, mac and cheese, and street corn. The street corn in particular was hard to eat; the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos made it super messy because the corn was still on the cob (our bad for assuming rather than asking). Service was ok - not terrible but not great. I’d wanted to try Buttermilk & Bourbon for a while and was really looking forward to this dinner, which made the experience extra-disappointing. No reason to return

Being a Southerner myself I was interested to try this restaurant. It did not disappoint. Our party of five sat outside and enjoyed the view of the terrace area at the newly renovated Arsenal Yard, where our granddaughters hung out while waiting for the food to be delivered. Our waiter (Connor) was fantastic with good food recommendations, since they serve tapas style. We tried a lot of everything. Particularly loved the biscuits with cinnamon butter, octopus, carrot salad, burrata and peach salad, and of course, the beignets! Divine! The crab cake was mediocre to my taste: too soft and fell apart. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and will definitely return.

Food: amazing and fairly priced by Boston standards. Cocktails: creative and tasty but extremely expensive. Noise level: moderate compared to a lot of places (I usually find most restaurants far too loud). Service: excellent. Ambience: just okay--some very weird artwork inside--plus it's located outward-facing in a former mall. I think they've tried to make Arsenal Yard into something like Assembly Square--which is an improvement, granted.

1st visit. Everything was delicious, served hot, plentiful and met all of our expectations. The staff was very attentive and surprised my daughter with an cake batter ice cream dessert because they knew it was her 27th birthday. Outstanding...we WILL be back!

Went on Friday with my daughter. Sat in a small table tucked in the corner behind the hostess stand. Fried chicken sandwiches where delicious and by far our favorite item. We would have liked more of the sauce on the side but overall delicious. We also got the heirloom tomato salad with arugula. It was basically a Greek salad but super tasty not too much dressing. The tomatoes clearly had been refrigerated because they were a bit mealy. We also had the street corn which is one of our favorite things to try at restaurants. This street corn was covered in hot Cheetos which we were not a fan and it arrived cold. We would just have like good ol street corn. A I had the cafe du monde cocktail which tasted a bit too much like coffee to me. My daughter has the soft serve mimosa which was very very good. It came with watermelon soft serve which was super refreshing. She would have like a better sparkling wine other than Martini & Rossi but she did enjoy it. For desert we got the beignets and cake soft serve. Both of these items were the highlight of the night! So so tasty. Our server was not super attentive and hardly checked on us which made it very slow and impossible to get extra sauce or tell her the corn was cold. We definitely had a good time but there good be improvements

This wasn’t our first time at Buttermilk & Bourbon at Arsenal Yards in Watertown and will not be our last! Our meal was delicious and the waitstaff was wonderful. The atmosphere was also top notch. We had an early reservation so it was quiet inside, but it can get loud when there are additional diners. We had a very nice time.

Really a pleasant place considering it is a Mal restaurant. I ate early and sat outside lots of kids and noise in the park in the front. Also the tables outdoors need to be staggered a little so you aren't sharing your food with the table next to you. The food is creative and tasty. The tapas style is nice and it is a good value.
