   From being greeted to paying the check, everyone we encountered was welcoming and friendly. AND the food was phenomenal! A gem in Oakland.

   Interesting place, liked a lot. Had double pork chops with sweet potatoes - in a curry sauce. Great presentation and superb taste. Bakery next door makes their fresh bread. Worth the trip!

   First time here and pleasantly surprised. It’s a bit outside of the usual dining neighborhood areas in Pittsburgh but not difficult to access. Even though we live and work nearby we’ve not tried it and now I am sad we didn’t do so before. Def recommend.

   Butterjoint is my current favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. Tasty, well-sourced food - A++ burgers and tallow fries if you’re basic, fancier stuff if the mood strikes you. Cocktails and bar staff are my personal favorites - tasty creations and lovely people keep my wife coming back. The environment is very approachable, accessible, but still feels like a treat.

   Our first time- will definitely be back! Excellent food. We shared some apps to try more things and shared a crispy chicken sandwich with fries. Pierogis were outstanding. Great crostini. Sauerkraut balls were a creative dish (love sauerkraut). Sandwich and the roll great. Good fries. Definitely more pierogis next time and when we can try out a signature drink. We had an early lunch/weekday and it was quiet. I’ve heard it’s hopping for dinner/weekends, and there’s seating outside for nice evenings or a sunny summer day (umbrellas for shade).

   Food took a long time to come Server brought out one persons food long before anyone else’s. Server was pleasant and knowledgeable, but disappeared a lot.

   Overpriced for the amount of food. The rolls and pierogies were good but very overpriced. The other items were just ok. Wouldn’t return.

    Fabulous lunch at Butterjoint. Such a nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and really terrific menu. Shout out to our server Michael and the manager Tim who each made us feel very comfortable. They have large booths which hold six people comfortably. I recommend trying the Raclette app in order to try a traditional Swiss plate. The sandwiches (fancy chicken, pork belly) are really good.
