   It was the BEST meal I’ve ever had in the Keys. The food quality is beyond anything I’ve experienced in the 6 years we’ve been coming here. Make your reservation, I PROMISE you will love it!

   The food was good, the staff were nice but not very tentative. We came back even though my first experience was awful, appetizers and salads came at the same time then the entree came before we were 1/2 done with the first and second course. One guest didn’t eat her food but the server never came back to ask how things were. For the price, I would expect much better service. I had gotten many recommendations from friends saying how great it was, maybe I pick the wrong nights.

   We were there to celebrate my wife’s 50 th birthday and noted this in our reservation . No acknowledge of the event was given . We were seated promptly at 6:45 and was greeted 10 minutes later by our sever , he had a dirty apron and shirt on . Restaurant was not busy . Wash your uniform sir . He showed no enthusiasm. We ordered drinks and waited another 10 minutes to receive them . We had salads to start with we both enjoyed . We sat in front of our dirty plates and empty drinks for 15 minutes . We received our entrées and my wife enjoyed her fillet cooked to perfection. . I had The yellow tail snapper . Over cooked and cold potatoes but the server didn’t come back for 10 minutes so I said nothing . I barely touched my plate and the server said nothing . Crème brûlée was delicious, but was lacking the candle that should’ve been in there to recognize a special event . Bye forever .

   Hidden secret in Marathon. Went for Mother’s Day. Wonderful setting, dinner was delicious and they even gave the mother’s a rose! Great wine selection and the key lime pie was a scrumptious end to the meal. Will definitely be back!

    Wonderful time at Butterfly….gorgeous restaurant and the surrounding grounds at Tranquility Bay are great for a walk after your meal. My wife had the scallops risotto which was delicious and I had the grouper. Everything was perfect and we are so glad that we found it!

    Excellent service from reception through to our outstanding waiter that delivered impeccable service. Appetizers were good overall, with the goat cheese being a standout dish. Entree scallops were well prepared. In sum, a good experience.

    FABULOUS from start to finish! We started our celebration at the Tiki Bar watching the sun go down, a cocktail and live music followed by a wonderful dinner at the Butterfly Cafe! Crab cakes were our starter, Butterfly Salad, Mahi entree and the toffee sauce on the date cake was omg! Our server, Michelle, made the evening 5-Stars with her attentiveness and attention to detail.     Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance and we sat outside. Before we ordered dinner we quickly escaped down to the Tiki hut and beach which were cool and energetic. Nice place to hang for evening. When we returned we ordered drinks and appetizers which included the crab cakes which were tasty and full of crab. Drinks were good and well proportioned. Bread was wonderful so don’t miss that. They had two types including Asiago cheese and Rosemary. Daughter ate too much of the Rosemary which came warm and with whipped butter that she lost her appetite. It was good and a must have! The waitress was wonderful and caring and very knowledgeable of the menu. Ordered the Mahi and wife the PorkChops and both were good but had better at other place. Try not to sit outside toward dusk as it gets dark and you can’t see your meals as they won’t turn the lighting up to see. The key lime was award winning and came just that way! Also had the brownie and ice cream and there was nothing left. Very good place but might be able to do better with entrees..

    Extremely bad value for money. Placed at a table with our backs against a busy server station, then actually scolded by staff for leaving the table and waking past them. They blamed the fact that we booked through OpenTable (!), saying those are the tables that they reserve through the app. While adult mains at ~$50 were pricey but quite good, the kids' options were small, barely edible and cost $19. Mandatory 20% gratuity meant the server did not seem to care about providing great service.

    Food was excellent, service was as well. It is expensive, but way better than other places that are almost as expensive. If you eat outside, there is a nice view, inside the room is very nice, very new finishes. It is the nicest place we at during our 6 week stay on Marathon.

    Service & the setting were very good! The food was ok, not over the top for the price. The average entree is $45 and we expected a little bit better taste for that price. However, we are fish snobs. We have a beach house in the Panhandle and fish regularly.

    If you want quiet, this is where you go. Good food, but not worth over $240 for 4 people, one being a toddler. Great service, waiter was awesome! Not a note of music, silent outside on the patio. Kids were so bored. More of an adults only atmosphere. Not super impressed for the cost. Didn’t have any complaints about the food except they could expand the menu a bit. Drinks outside of cocktails and alcohol are always limited in the keys, tea was old. Not a ton of options. Beautiful building and grounds but save your cash for something more entertaining unless you’re looking for quiet. Resort grounds are beautiful so take a walk to the beach after dinner.

    Unfortunately our server , forgot our wine and ordered my wife’s starter and main course wrong , so we were eating at different times , and overall we were forgotten about . He apologised for lack of service , made a deduction on the bill but this was our special occasion !

    Jasmine r waitress was excellent- Great server and I used to be one yrs ago. The hostess was wonderful and we loved our table on the porch. Amazing tropical atmosphere-beautiful resort! Lovely pool! Very Picturesque! TJs tiki hut is very fun and good music! Thank you! The Butterfly Cafe is my new favorite restaurant in Marathon!
