The food and service were great! Everything was served very promptly.

The main problem I had was our table. It was horrible. We were seated next to the door. Everyone waiting to be seated was gathered there and there was overflow from the bar literally on top of us. It was so uncomfortable.

I loved everything about this restaurant. The cheddar bratwurst and jalapeños stuffed with peanut butter were amazing. We also ordered the pork chops and ribs, both excellent. I can’t wait to go back.

The table service was excellent. Our waiter was fabulous. Your hosts at the front door need an attitude adjustment however. They are rude, unfriendly and arrogant. I ordered the Heirloom Salad and the tomatoes were ice cold. You would charge $14 for a salad with heirloom tomatoes and then serve them cold from the refrigerator - what are you thinking? This ruined the salad.

My second visit... .and we’ll be back. Outstanding food, fast and attentive service, solid recommendations by our waiter. Probably a bit tough for vegetarians... but that’s not why one would go to a place called Butcher and the Boar. Wild Boar and Pork/Cheddar sausages were wonderful. Loved the brussel sprouts to share (which I really didn’t share).

Amazing, brussel sprouts were a hit, along with the charcuterie. I’ve never had such a large piece of pork that was so tender, as well. Hard to beat.

The service here is top notch - very knowledgeable staff; able to give good recommendations. It's a very cozy place (especially on a dark winter evening) and the outdoor patio in the summer months is very pleasant.

Very meat-centric. WE had the long rib, crab leg special, and brussels sprouts. Everything was exquisite. The service was some of the best I've ever had. Pricey, but worth it. Would go here again, and have already recommended it to several friends.

We had an 8 pm reservation but waited at least 10 minutes to be seated. Our table for 2 was pretty tightly squished in between two others. The food was great, and the service good once they got to us; a bit slow in greeting us and getting our drinks order. The noise level was extremely loud where we were sitting, near the bar area. Not great for any kind of table conversation, but the food made the experience worth it.

Amazing smoked beef long rib. Perfect crust, moist meat melts in the mouth. Charcuterie board is out of this world. We traveled two hours to get here and it was well worth it.

The food at Butcher and the Boar is great. Very meat-heavy menu, smoky foods and smoky scent to the place. However, the service was so-so. There were about six customers waiting outside in the freezing cold for the restaurant to open at 5:00 p.m, most probably there before a show. The wait staff ignored us, though we could see them through the window hanging out at the hostess stand. They would not even invite us in to wait in the lobby. Finally they opened, not a minute before 5:00, and allowed us to wait indoors for our tables. We told our server that we had to be at a show by a certain time, but it took a full 50 minutes before we got our food. Then we had to eat really fast and rush, which took away a lot of the pleasure of the meal. Wonderful food - duck, prime rib, salmon, all recommended, but DON'T go and expect to be served promptly.

We had a really wonderful time on a Saturday night. The food was excellent, the service was great. The noise level was a touch too high and the lighting a touch too low, but overall excellent.

Came here for my birthday and once again we left completely satisfied with our meal! We had the Wood fire oysters, wedge salad, prime rib cap, crab legs and chocolate torte. Everything was really good, steak was cooked perfectly and the crab legs were huge - the mango salsa on the crab was a nice addition. Basically everything we've ever ordered here has been delicious...

The beef rib was excellent. Sausage platter ok. My wife favors chicken and fish, of which chooses were limited. Large portions and high prices. A good place to take the football team after a full practice. Presentation could use a fair amount of work for the price.
We decided we would not need to return.

Sausage sampler was great. Berkshire cheddar was the crowd favorite. Ribeye cap was great and beef rib was very tender but the heat in the sauce was a tad overpowering.

First time to Minnesota and all drivers and hotel service recommended to try it. We decided to give it a shot. The atmosphere was great. Elegant but cozy. And the food was just wonderful. Definitely want to go again if we ever make it up that way again.

While the wait was a little long (we got our table about 20 min after our reservation), the manager tried to make it up to us by sending us a complimentary cheese board, which, like all the food, was phenomenal. The house cocktails are spot on if you're a whiskey drinker. If you're not, no worries. The bartenders are knowledgeable and have a strong understanding of flavor profiles as they relate to cocktails, liquors, and liqueurs. They also have a strong wine program and broad palette of brews on tap.

Had an awesome time at a business dinner last week at Butcher and the Boar. The place was really busy, but they were ready at our reserved time. The waiter was top-notch; making a few key recommendations on both dinner and drinks that helped make the night. Portions are huge and about as good as you can get.

The best part of the experience for me was the service provided by the staff. Everything was 5 stars from the food to the restaurant, but the biggest part of the experience for me was we had a very talented waiter and staff that worked with us. That was like 6/5 stars if that’s possible.

Their food is really good. It's expensive, but like I said, they have really good food. It's also noisy. Really noisy. But that is the only negative I can think of. There were 5 of us celebrating our son's birthday, the venue was at his request. We started out across the Courtyard, which was also very good. (Beer and food) I do wish there was some way to communicate between the two places, but everything worked out. We had the FOIE GRAS TORCHON to start with, because it had come so well recommended and it deserved it. Sooo good. We also had the Pickle Plate, it was a winner, also. Then two people had the New York Strip, one had the Pork Chop, one the Surf & Turf and me... when Steak Tartare is on the menu, I am going to order it. It was great and the house made cracker (very black peppery) was such an addition. I just want to go back and order it again. The sides we picked were the potatoes, mushrooms and broccoli. All three were outstanding, especially the potatoes. Everyone's food was delicious. Tiffany was a delightful server, who was going hoarse. Now we sat right in front of the kitchen, so that may be the noisiest spot in the restaurant, so take that into consideration. It was difficult (almost impossible) to carry on a conversation, but once the food came, no one was speaking. Only eating. I would highly recommend!
