We are fine-casual dining with a fire at the core of its heart. Through the smoke and whiskey ashes of the previous iteration which closed its doors in 2020 rises a new haze of smoke and whiskey as we bring back this iconic brand, smoked meats, bourbon, beer, deep hues, and various spaces to a new location in the North Loop. Butcher & The Boar will honor its beloved roots, while spreading new ones in the fresh foundation that will help our guests embark on a journey with notes of nostalgia that carry the torch forward with new tastes and experiences.

    The food was fine, but just as buffet food can get some items seemed overcooked. I enjoyed some odd things the most - like the salad dressing ánd I also liked the French toast bread pudding even though I felt I might like this even better warmed. The prime rib was delicious and cut perfect. The servers that are given a prepaid tip of the full amount (although I served myself) were not very present. Plates ran out each time I wanted to go up there. The valet and one host were very congenial and helpful, but one host acted like it hurt to smile. Love the design and music choice, but it is very loud.

    About as good as it gets for a Mother’s Day brunch. The meats were all top-shelf; marvelous smoked prime rib, super tasty homemade sausage, and best ever pepper-crusted bacon (It was thick -cut like pork belly). Ironically, our table thought that the fried chicken was the star of the show. And, the bottomless mimosas were the perfect complement to the meal; they were more booze than orange juice!

    The service was fantastic, the meal was over the top delicious. The prime rib was like butter. Nice experience over all

    Great food and service but way overpriced for the amount of food you get. It will keep me from coming back.

    Experience over all was enjoyable. Service and ambiance were fantastic. Only real gripe was the cut of meat. For a $85 dollar cut. This steak should have been top notch. They suggested the steak be medium due to the cut. I agreed…. Typically I’m a rare kind of guy. With that said… they steak was a bit tough still. Flavor was fantastic, and I had a large piece of meat/fat, that was not possible to chew. With prices that high… all the meat should be able to be consumed. I understand cutting off fat etc, but we all know “fat equals flavor”. But this bite was hard and chewy. For $85, didn’t think that would be the case. In some of the best steak houses I’ve eaten… the whole piece of meat is consumable. The Tartare was fantastic. The Mac and cheese was good and the desert (hummingbird cake) was incredible.

    Was our first time there. Ordered an expensive steak, steak was cooked to order but was very salty, almost to the point of inedible. They had a happy hour which had good deals. Should’ve avoided the expensive over priced steak item. Not sure how they can charge $65 for a piece of salty steak. Wouldn’t order anything expensive there again or maybe never go there again

    They must have been short a few servers because it wasn’t even busy, but i only saw two of them. Nevertheless we didn’t see ours for 20 minutes at a time. Food quite good to excellent. Have dined there 3-4 times previously, worst service yet. Absolutely excellent “short ribs” Enough for 3 meals for me.

    Service was excellent! All staff members were amazing. Food was very overpriced for what it was. Loved the ambiance but the prices were not equal to the food we ordered.
