Was interested in trying this place after looking at many reviews for different steakhouses in Chicago. Unfortunately, this place fell very short of expectations. We had the Wagyu tasting board and asked for medium rare. The steak was cooked medium to medium well and the Japanese Wagyu was quite tough and chewy. We talk to the server about this, and apparently they said it was the cut - teres major. Not sure why they would choose this as the meat type. Best part of meal was the broccolini.

I was very impressed with our experience here. My brother and I came here and enjoyed a dinner on a Saturday night. From the service to the the food, everything was top noth! Would highly recommend and I will definitely return in the future. I ordered the rib eye and the mashed potatoes.

We had an incredible dining experience here for my wife’s birthday! The outstanding service and attention to detail by the staff was amazing. We enjoyed a special of the chateaubriand, that was exquisite…and don’t miss the whipped potatoes!

Dinner at Butcher and Bear was AMAZING! The ambiance is wonderful. The food and beverage were absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional! It’s expensive but completely worth it!!

Wollie was a blast and super friendly. The Brick chicken, ceasar, and waygu platter were delicious. Focaccia app was great. Tuna app and beef tar tar were okay. Brussels sprouts were delicious. The chocolate chip cookies were incredible, ask for a scoop of vanilla. We will return!

Came here for my girlfriend’s birthday. I had an amazing experience! Our server was attentive and suggested a second cocktail based off my first one. Really enjoyed the OYSTERS WAGYU PLATTER SCALLOPS OCTOPUS MASH POTATOES MUSHROOMS Highly recommend!
