Interesting & delicious food plus a unique variety of cocktails, wine & beers! We will definitely go back!!
Will was the best server we’ve had in Charleston! Food was delicious.
Delicious food, great service and casual/modern environment.
Currently our favorite restaurant in Charleston. Exceptional deliciousness. These folk know a thing or two about employing spices.
We loved the food and the service! The only downfall was our experience eating on the patio. I wish we would have been warned about how terrible the bugs were. The bugs were absolutely TERRIBLE. I know it’s not the restaurant’s fault but it completely changed our experience. We were swarmed with bugs. They were around our face, got in our food and made it hard to enjoy our delicious meal. Many people got up and left or asked to be sat inside. We got our food to go after a few bites. Bugs got in our hummus and we couldn’t eat it anymore. Our server said “oh sorry the only downfall of eating outside are the bugs” Wish we would have been warned earlier! We haven’t experienced bugs at any other restaurant in Charleston so didn’t expect them there. If you go, sit inside!
Food was excellent!!
Friends had recommended this restaurant. The food was all very good - and I lived in Egypt for years and know good ME food. However, every aspect of the service was horrible as was the ambiance. Together with the above-average prices made this an experience I would not repeat.
Casual and fun atmosphere. Food was delicious and service was attentive. We shared a lot of plates family style.
The food was awful and the server was very rude.
Save your money and time and eat somewhere else!
Terrible idea to eat here. Very very disappointing.
All of the dishes were creative and flavorful. Our foursome We shared many apps and entrees and we loved them all! Great vegetarian options. Loved every bite!! And the value was great as well!
This place is great! Food is excellent and the atmosphere is unique. Definitely recommend to anyone!
Overall a great meal and good service. Wondering if we should have staggered our order? We felt very rushed as all apps & entrees came out very quickly. So...good food but not the most relaxing Mother's Day dining experience.
Was really cold. Told waiter. Wouldn’t turn down temp. Had to send back steak. Was still undercooked.
Every visit and dining experience is better than before
I can’t express how delicious and delightful this restaurant Is!
Not really very many entrees to choose from...mainly lots of small plates.
Butcher & Bee was a cozy and eclectic brunch spot! The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was perfect. Be sure to try one of their amazing pastries!
We chose the Chef’s pick 4 Course Tasting menu! It was soooo delicious! We enjoyed 3 great appetizers ; smoked salmon creme frache on cucumber bites, roasted beet and carrots and fresh spiced strawberries and cream for our First course. The 2nd course was a beautiful clam dish with a kimchi topping a fabulous broth with bread and a fresh herb salad and fresh strawberries. The 3rd course was a Chimichurri Hangar steak with roasted confetti vegetables and roasted asparagus. The desert was a rice crunchy crusted chocolate mouse cake with a mint dusted sorbet! It was all very wonderful. I also enjoyed the Charleston Sour cocktail!
Food is great, all of the dishes were excellent. The desserts were unique and creative.
great for families and adults alike. the food was inventive, fresh and so good! Loved the bourbon cocktail & dates. We began our meal at happy hour pricing and it was quite a deal! We’re recommending to our friends visiting soon!
Awesome service and food. Loved the asparagus and chicken kebab. Interesting and delicious presentations for both.
Awesome food-fresh, a bit exotic and delicious!
Excellent combination of flavors. Everything was great. Restaurant was busy and service was a bit slow.
We are in town from Seattle visiting our daughter at CofC. Seattle is no slouch in culinary department, so it takes a lot to impress us. Butcher&Bee exceeded our expectations! The variety and small plates were perfect - great vibe and aesthetics. Spot on!!!
I love Butcher away from all the tourists and the food is phenomenal. Super friendly staff. Sit up at the Chef's bar to watch them whip up all the amazing food, which you'll end up adding to your order.
Very noisy at lunch. Initially service poor but improved when I spoke to manager. Food okay - we had salads. Felt expensive for what we ordered.
Cauliflower dish was amazing
Ambiance was fantastic and the perfect way to end our bachelorette weekend! My girlfriends and I read wonderful reviews about Butcher & Bee, and the restaurant itself lived up to the hype! But the service was disappointing. Our waiter was energetic and entertaining but very slow. He did not check for refills, it took quite some time for him to bring our checks, and even getting our cards back seemed to take longer than usual. That being said, our overall experience was good. The consensus is that we will all be back...with hopes of better service.
Very hip however, we had some issues with service. We had no one waiting us for 15 minutes and didn't love the food we ordered.
We loved Butcher & Bee and wish we had similar where we live. It's the ideal brunch or lunch spot on a sunny afternoon. The food was very fresh and my salad tasted garden-grown. Dog-friendly and relaxed while offering a fabulous experience.
Feta dip with pita bread and honey is a must have-delish! I had the roasted cauliflower for dinner. It was on a bed of curried cauliflower rice. That part was not very flavorful, but the piece of roasted cauliflower was very tasty. Husband had the fried chicken and enjoyed every bit of his dinner. Disappointed that the restaurant did not have iced tea. Come on! We're in the south- that's expected. Overall enjoyed the food, ambience and service at this restaurant. Would go back again to sample more of the small plate appetizers and purchase a gallon the feta dip- yum, yum, yum!!!!!
The food was amazing! Great atmosphere! Can’t wait to go back!
Good food and service. Very loud and hard to converse with our friends and you weren’t that crowded.
We had a wonderful dinner at Butcher & Bee. The food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere. The staff made our night very special. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Loved the unique take on Mediterranean favorites. Great dinner. Very good value.
Amazing experience! We’ve eaten just about everywhere in Charleston and now we have a new entry into our top three favorites. The food is outstanding!
Immediately upon walking we loved the atmosphere of the place. I will say the noise level is high, but not in a way that ruined anything. It's just worth mentioning in case you were looking for a quiet evening. Once seated service was amazing beginning to end. Our cocktails were fantastic, and the waiter had great insight into the menu and answers for all of our questions. The food... oh man the food. Everything was absolutely amazing. The blending of flavors and presentation as well as the portions exceeded our expectations by far. We were blown away by how much food we actually got for the prices. This will absolutely be worth every cent you spend on it and then some! If you're looking to go out and have excellent drinks/food, then this is a place worth considering!
The bacon wrapped dates were like candy, the bread and whipped feta was delicious. For entrees we had the duck and kebabs, they were decent. The small plates are definitely the stars here.
Food and service were great.Only negative moment was when the manager? (not our waitress and he did not have a apron on)serving me one of the dishes we had ordered did so with a toothpick hanging out the side of his mouth.Kind of gross and not appropriate for when u are serving at a upscale dining restaurant - something one should do at home.
The food was great the portions were big we ended up with more food than we could eat. The service was outstanding, prompt and attentive. The restaurant was loud, you had to talk loudly to hear the person across the table
Butcher and Bee is always a treat- creative and filling dished highlight the experience, augmented by excellent service and a hip vibe.
