Burt & Max's Bar and Grille Ratings and Reviews
Met a girlfriend for lunch. Wait staff was terrific. Can't say enough good things about him. Food was delicious, and the lunch specials were varied and interesting. I got the wings. They were fabulous. Not the run of the mill. Kudos to Burt & Max. I'll definitely return.

We've eaten at Burt & Max's a number of times. It's basically upscale bar food - the usual appetizers, burgers, fries, some salads for the health-conscious, and a somewhat limited number of other entrees, but all well-prepared. We've found the service to be generally attentive, but the restaurant is crowded (be prepared to wait, even with an Open Table reservation), and it's definitely not the place for a quiet romantic meal. Recommended if you're in the neighborhood or shopping in the Delray Marketplace shopping center where it's located.
Food was unique and tasty. Nobody had a bad meal and some of the dishes webwould order again. Convenient local restaurant with a large bar and comfortable dining booths. Service was outstanding and the meals enjoyable. Try the onion soup dumplings for a deconstructed onion soup that was excellant and shareable.
I had dined at Burt and Max for lunch. I had the chopped 🥗. It was very good. I went back again for dinner and ordered the chopped salad with the margherti pizza 🍕. The salad was smaller and the pizza had no taste. I will stick to happy hour. The drinks are great and so are the appetizers
Burt and Max is one of my favorite places for any occasion. I've never been disappointed, ever! They will take care of you guaranteed. The service is excellent, food of your choice is nice, prices are within reason ...CLEAN and lovely atmosphere. I love this place, there many few times a month...
I am a great fan of Burt & Max's and have been there for lunch, brunch, dinner, etc. This time it was Sunday lunch (they gave us a Brunch menu) with 2 friends before an afternoon program we were attending. I had the "omelet of the day" while my friends had [bacon & eggs & something else]. Service was good, as usual. Three happy diners...
I have been to Burt and max many times, for both lunch and dinner. I have never been disappointed. Service has always been good. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The food is always good and served as ordered. The only strange thing that happened was I was refused a new tea bag when I wanted a 2nd cup of tea. That I find odd! It’s always a good place to know. The location is good too.
We had a very pleasant dinner at Burt & Mac's. Our reservation was honored and we were seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive and responsive and had a great personality. We both had fish sandwiches which were cooked to order. Our portions were ample and tasted fresh.
Food like always was delicious. The service was awful. The waiter was rude, inattentive and it made the experience awful. Have dined there many times at its always my go to restaurant. Our server was the worst and when I brought it to the attention of the manager I barely received an apology or even I will definitely do something about him. I was shocked because the service has always been great. I’m beyond words
Got 4+ stars on Open Table, so we took a chance. Lived in the area a long time and never tried. Orders were Pasta Primavera for the kids x 2, an omelette, fish tacos and Eggplant Parm.
No one raved about their meal. Everyone said their dinner was okay and there was nothing that made us feel like we need to come back. The food is better at their other restaurant on the Intracoastal.
